    Well, I thought I completely understood Ev's, but somthign just happened that puzzled me. I took my Charizard with the pokerus and a MachoBrace to route 209 and started killing Garydos to get up my attack EV. I killed about 7 and lvled, and my attack only went up by 2. I thought it would go up a little more than that, so can anyne tell me what im doing wrong?
    Thx

    The stat boost you get from EV's is rather gradual, and there will be times when you won't see a boost in the stat you're training at all. You won't see the full effects of your EV-training until it is level 100.

    Btw, I'm assuming your Charizard isn't already fully EV-trained, so already-maxed-out EVs shouldn't be the problem, right? x_x

    was there any experience on the charizard beforehand? if it had experience from another type of ev before you started it wont start showing up until next level

    ya, My charizard is lvl 72, and i think i see what you mean...Thx

    Wow, that's an awfully high level for EV-training. It's probably already maxed out. x.x Unless, of course, you used Rare Candies...If you want to check how many EVs it has in what stats, use the 6 berries that decrease EVs by 10.

    Pomeg - HP
    Kelpsy - Att.
    Qualot - Def.
    Hondew - Sp. Att.
    Grepa - Sp. Def
    Tamato - Speed

    And if you don't like the EVs it does have, use the correct berries to get rid of the EVs you don't want and re-EV-train it. Good luck. ^^;

    Breed for a Charmander and start from there. >> That's kind of high to be EV training with, especially since it's probably not untouched..

    Is it just gradual? Because I gave my newly caught level 18 Tyrogue two Irons(or the defense boosting vitamin) because I wanted to be sure that I'd get a Hitmonchan. So when I leveled it up I was thinking, 20 ev's that should be +5 in the defense stat, but it only went up 1. I'm a little confused.

    i think that's becasue when you use a vitamin you don't get ev's you just get +1 in the desired stat right away

    Your 510 EV limit was probably used on the some of the other stats already, and there may not be enough room for many Attack EVs. And, yeah, wait until level 100 to conduct your investigation on how many EVs you have in which stat.
