Questions about the PSP

    Hey,

I'm getting a (regular) PSP 3000 on August 25th as part of the Dissidia: Final Fantasy pack, and I had two questions about it...

    1) When the PSP Go launches, will I be able to download future games to my "old" PSP's Memory Stick (if nescessary)? In other words, will I be able to get games in the same way the Go can?

I searched about that on Google, but I didn't find any answers. Everything I found was about pirated games and hacking the console, which I don't want to do.

    2) In a gaming podcast I just watched, a guy was talking about how Sony said "we are ONLY going to support downloadable content" at a press conference. Is that true?

I read that Sony announced they'll continue to manufacture and support the PSP3000, along with making future games on UMDs.

Thanks in advance, and sorry if I didn't make sense...it's too early in the morning for me.

    1) Yes, you can download games onto your PSP 3000.
    2) No, Sony stated at e3 that they will still be supporting UMD as well as Downloaded content.

    Hope that helps.

    1. As far as I am aware, you will be able to use your existing memory card in the new PSP. I can't see them asking for a different one when every PSP user already has one.

    2. You can still use your UMD.

    Dam, beat to it.

Thanks a ton, guys! I was getting worried since I pre-ordered the bundle a few days ago (sure, I can return or cancel it, but it's a pain).

I didn't even watch the PSP section of E3 because I wasn't planning on getting one...things sure change quickly. Time go to hunting for the video on PSN...

    Thanks again. :)

You didn't miss much, just some guy going on about how sleek the PSPgo is, the most noteworthy thing was Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (Technically MGS5)
