Ehh, this challenge is dying, come on guys keep updating!

I just tried the E4, I got past Sidney (thanks to Sonny's (Solrock) Explosion against his Sharpedo) and Pheobe but got creamed against Glacia, I was doing OK with Maggy (Magcargo) and Nosepass until it came down to her Walrein, which OHKO'd all of my team, gonna train to level 55 and give it another go...

Woohoo!! Finished the challenge! After five hours of vigorous training in the Victory Road and failing three times against the Elite Four, I have finally finished! :)

Trainer Name: Greeny
Badges: 8
Play Time: 31:29

Latest Progress:
Trained in the Victory Road for around 4-5 hours until my Pokemon were all at level 50.
Taught TM Earthquake to Steely.
Got defeated by the Elite Four a few times before thinking up some strategies.
Defeated Sidney, Sharpedo showed no problem when I pulled out Sonny for Explosion.
Defeated Pheobe relatively easy, Steely's Iron Tail took care of most of her pokemon in two / three hits.
Had trouble against Glacia, the Glacie's and Sealeo's were easily taken care of with Maggy's Flamethrower and Nosepass' Thunderbolt but the Walrein was a real pain, Sonny's explosion finished it off in the end if I remember correctly.
Taught TM Ice Beam to Steely.
Defeated Drake. Steely swept out the whole team using Ice Beam.
Taught TM Overheat to Sonny.
Now then, Steven was a challenge, his Steel moves and Earthquake were often a problem but I got around this mainly using Maggy, Steely and Sonny.

FINISHED.

End Team:

I got back from my trip yesterday and I forgot to update so here's my update. I apologize if it's a little vague. I was in a car for three days. Attended my cousin's wedding and we stayed for like four days over there. Then it was anouther three days stuck in the car. My mind got a little bit muddled here and there so there'll most likely be a lot of blabbery.

After Flannery (who managed to be beaten by the unlikely hero nuzleaf.) I went to the desert and trained nuzleaf and mighteyna (almost forgot sableye lol). I was gonna leave the tower up so I could train later after I caught future pokes and level them up but I took the fossil anyways after I was satisfied with their levels. Uhm....I think next was the player's dad for a battle. Easily beat him. I had little difficulty with him. Slaking was the toughie but Gems rolled through him (You just gotta love ghost types). Afterwards I forgot where to go so I went home to talk to my mama and rest and I recieved a amulet coin. I think I could surf now so I went to mauville and did the little mission for the gym leader dude. then I went to the little surf area and beat up the trainers. Made my way through the weather institute and beat up the Team whatevers (I forgot which ones are the anagonists in this part of emerald) recieved the weather pokemon and deposited the little tyke. rested in the bed and trained. battled may and won tenaciously with Nuzleaf (firered flashback lol). Made my way to the trees town. beat up kekleons. Wind gym leader bullied Nuzleaf. Nuzleaf fainted (After Nuzleaf beat torkoal I was thinking that he was invinsible and could beat up anyone.) Gems miraculously beat one of her skarmories using metronome:Flame Wheel. Went south. made my way to the next town......uhm I think it's the one with the giant store right? Lilycove. uhm....Made my way to the cave and discovered that team aqua went to steal the orb. Went back to Safari zone and got the solarbeam tm. Taught it to Nuzleaf. went to mount pyre. Beat up the Team whatevers and went down to the little patch of land above the berry master's house. I recieved the Giga drain tm but decided not to use it. battled more weak trainers. went to the the magma hideout (thank goodness I use the Acro bike) and ripped through their defenses. Groudon was freed and I beat up Maxie (or is he Archie?). went to the team aqua hideout and savagely ripped them apart. I was all like "RAWR!" and they screamed like little girls and turned red. Like. A. Toe-May-Toe. Anyways I got the masterball and caught both electrodes (Mild and Modest. The Mild one has way better stats so I guess the modest one has bad IVs? Oh well it's just non-important blabbery) Anywho I beat up what-his-face and finally was able to travel to Mossdeep. Obtained the super rod at mossdeep and went back to route 102 to catch a corphish. Corphish evolves. Went to mossdeep again and talked to Steven or whatever his name is. He is looking out for team magma while I rip the twins to shreds. (By this time Nuzleaf has evolved and I used a sunny day/synthesis/solarbeam combo to easily win against Solrock and Lunatone and Even the Psychic bird!) well I went back to help out whats-his-face to beat up the Rockets or the Whoevers. Crawdaunt sailed through them (not litterally He doesn't know surf. He's got Crabhammer.) and then they left. With noone to beat up I also left and made my way to sootopolis. No wait I went to the underwater cave and beat up everyone. Kyogre was awakened and left. I went to awaken Rayquaza and he sent them elsewhere and all was good again. I beat up the water dude. He gave me a hard time with (don't laugh) Luvdisc and Seadra. Double team almost made me lose until he used rest (normally that would break my fighting spirit but...) I sent out CRAWDAUNT! resisting ice beam and the water attacks I totolly had forgot him when I switched him out because of luvdisc. I used Swords Dance three times and he became invinsible (he truly is he's never let me down) One Aerial Ace and it was over! (Aerial Ace is useful against fighting types and it'll never miss............unlike Crabhammer) Well After I did a restricted victory dance (I was strapped to my seat with a horrid invention called the seat belt) I made my way to EverGrande....and I totolly forgot about waterfall. Sigh. After I returned and went to the PC before the Victory Road I trained heavy. Went to heal and to my surprise *Drumroll* I had acquired Pokerus!!!! It was useless to my current pokemon except crawdaunt who gained heavy stats in his training. Went back to Mossdeep and caught a Sharpeedo (I had tried training a Phirana or whatever his pre-evo is called but he was weak so I got Chomp instead) It already had Pokerus so I gave him a macho brace and battled tons of Linoone outside of the weather institute (Not really EV trained just battle Linoone and get faster) Trained lots and lots until Chomp was finally around lvl 50. Went to EverGrande and deposited my mons and withdrew others to spread the Virus while I trained Mightyena (He needs a better movepool. Dumb Lairons keep using roar and dumb Makuhita's evo used whirlwind.) deposited my mons after the virus spread and brought out my team again. Battled lots of trainers in the PokeNav Match Call until no one wanted to battle me. went to Trick Master since I only completed the first challenge and I answered questions, moved through rotating doors, teleported and other assorted traps. Finished all the challenges I could and apparently there is one more since he's working on one as I speak/Write/type.......whatever. Went to EverGrande and beat wally. I need Flash to complete the rest of the journey. Sigh. I hate Victory Road in this game. Actually I hate it period. Saved. And I am done with my Update (with some blabbery here and there). *Sigh of Relief*

Here are my mons
Cross (I'm never happy with names) the Mightyena @ Blackglasses. Lvl 54
- Cah-Runch!
- Sand Attack
- Take Down
- Taunt
Chomp the Sharpedo @ Macho Brace (I'll give him something else later) Lvl 50
- Waterfall (I was using a gyarados HM slave before I caught him)
- Crunch (I mean Cah-Runch! LOL at the Hot wheels commercial with the shark "I like my cars cah-runchy")
- Blizzard
- Slash
Shiftry (I still can't think of a name for him) @ King's Rock lvl 53
- Sunny day

- Swords Dance
- Crabhammer
- Aerial Ace
- Guillotine
Gems the Sableye @ Quick Claw lvl 54

- Shadow Ball

That's it. Now time to challenge the league. *Takes a very Deeeeeeeeeeep breath*

Uhm, I'm not sure if Flash! is done yet but.....Congratulations Greeny!

Okay after many attempts I finally beat the elite four. My time is 43:46
My team is
Cross lvl 58 @ Blackglasses
-Dig
-Toxic
-Crunch
-Taunt
Chomp lvl 60 @ Sea Incense
-Blizzard
-Waterfall
-Crunch
-Slash
Gems lvl 56 @ quick claw
-Metronome
-Faint Attack
-Shadow Ball
-Confuse ray
Shiftry lvl 59 @ King's Rock
-Sunny Day
-Solar Beam
-Synthesis
-Extrasensory
Loss lvl 59 @ Lax Incense
-Crabhammer
-Guillotine
-Swords Dance
-Aerial Ace

So here are my highlights,
The ghost girl uses her Sableye so I send out Gems. I use confuse ray and the foe hurts themself. I use Faint Attack and he hurts hisself again. I finish of with a metronome and it turns into Earthquake!
Then Glacia or whatever her name is. Her team used Hail and I couldn't switch out to Shiftry unless I wanted to be Blizzarded so my mons had to endure it. Finally I got a lucky break and got a critical hit from Cross's Crunch. I toxicated her second Sealeo and Beat the second one pretty easy. Until her last two pokemon. They gave me trouble. Lots of it. Ice beam abusers! Toxic and Gems's Faint Attack finished the first Sealeo off. The second one I beat using the last PP of Loss's Guillotine. Her last Glalie I was left with only shiftry and a larger amount of HP. But he has the advantage because of Super Effectiveness. I use Extrasensory twice and he flinches once. It's got pretty low HP so I'm assuming that she's gonna use a Potion. I use one for me, and she doesn't! One more Extrasensory and I beat her.
Drake the pirate dude. well according to Bulbapedia he's just a captain but he looks like a pirate to me. So he sends out his Kingdra and I'm like crap. But Loss uses one swords dance, she uses surf. I use SD again and she uses smokescreen. Aerial Ace twice and she's gone. Chomp's Blizzard beat mostly all the other dragons.
Wallace the Champion of Hoenn. I started of with Shiftry and Sunny Day/ Solar Beam his team to death. Anyone up for fried Milotic? One Blizzard, Cruch and Slash from Chomp were used to beat Gyarados. Not that I was worried...... Okay I was, but his Surf does WAY too much damage!

So that's it. I'm going to try and clone my masterball so I can SR for a Modest Groudon.

Congrats on finishing, Pikachukid!

Although it seems the OP is inactive now and isn't updating the thread. >_>

May my name please be taken off the list as I've given up due to my workload from school. Thanks

@Prof. Only 1 pokemon, not 6
@Ultimate This is ruby sapphire emerald, not leaf green fire red

Oh.. duh I didn't think when I read R/S/E

Well take me off, cause as soon as I signed up I lost interest, and I checked and I wasn't on the list. Eh.

Oh and sorry if I bumped.

and I checked and I wasn't on the list. Eh.

Yeah he seems to be inactive now..

He starts a new monotype challenge because the previous one was neglected then he does the exact same thing himself. -_-

I'll do Fighting in Ruby, i need some non-generation 4 challenge xD

Update; Started with Torchic, caught 3 Zigzagoons for Pickup, a Shroomish and a Slakoth (this took me some time, when i finally had caught a Shroomish i just took it, even though the nature isn't really good) which i traded for a Makuhita in Rustboro. Beat Roxanne, beat Brawly, currently Mauville.

Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Avian Flu / Combusken Lv.23 m @ /
Naughty Nature / Blaze
~ Scratch
~ Peck
~ Double Kick
~ Ember
Took me some SRs to get a Torchic with -Def or -SDef nature.
My MVP up to this point.
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Annoying? / Shroomish Lv.22 m @ Miracle Seed
Relaxed Nature / Effect Spore
~ Mega Drain
~ Headbutt
~ Stun Spore
~ Leech Seed
I <3 Leech Seed
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Makit / Hariyama Lv.24 m @ /
Hardy Nature / Guts
~ Vital Throw
~ Arm Thrust
~ Bulk Up
~ Rock Tomb
Disobeyed before Brawly, i've to watch out not getting it too high... Catching a wild Makuhita would probably have been the better choice...

i'll do ghost in sapphire.

i'm pretty sure it's impossible though.

EDIT:

ok, somehow i managed to train a nincada to level 20, and then it evolved into both ninjask and shedinja.
and because of shedinja's 1 hp and stupid ability, i am unable to defeat roxanne.
therefore, if it's ok with everyone here, i'm going to use combusken to defeat roxanne.
thank you.

Update:
I just finished the third gym. Was relatively easy for the most part, but Watson's Magnemite and Mangneton were so freaking annoying! I had no counter for them. I now have a new hatred for parafusion. That battle took so effing long! *rage*

Current Team:

[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Shedinja/Shedinja
Lv. 21
Mind Reader
Fury Swipes
Fury Cutter
Double Team

[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Belarus/Sableye
Lv. 26
Fake Out
Fury Swipes
Astonish
Detect

I was planning on replacing Astonish with Detect, but I accidently replaced Night Shade, which would have come in handy against Watson.

Beat Winona. I reduced my team to 2, so i can run around with 4 Pickup Slaves.

Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Avian Flu / Blaziken Lv.40 m @ /
Naughty Nature / Blaze
~ Aerial Ace
~ Bulk Up
~ Double Kick
~ Flamethrower
Flamethrower for most stuff, Double Kick mainly for Rocks, Aerial Ace for other Fighters
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Makit / Hariyama Lv.43 m @ /
Hardy Nature / Guts
~ Return
~ Arm Thrust
~ Bulk Up
~ Rock Tomb
Now where i have enough badges to make Hariyama permanently obey, this thing became pretty awesome. Arm Thrust>Vital Throw because the -priority sucks

beat everyone up to norman. all of his pokemon conveniently have faint attack, which is totally awesome for shedinja. sableye handled it though.

Team:
SHEDINJA lvl 34 (it doesn't have a nickname because i don't like it very much.)
*pokemonelite2000 image removed*
Dig
Fury Swipes
Fury Cutter
Confuse Ray

Mood4Luv lvl 37
*pokemonelite2000 image removed*
Fury Swipes
Confuse Ray
Faint Attack
Night Shade

Beat Steven. The Elite 4 was quite easy.

Sidney: Swept him with Hariyama, without even setting up
Phoebe: Flamethrowered her to death with Blaziken, only the second Dusclops was annoying
Glacia: On the first attempt, everything went wrong. Glalie is faster and uses Hail, Hariyama uses Bulk Up. Glalie uses Ice Beam, crit, freeze. Hariyama wasn't defrosted in the next turns, so it fainted. Blaziken KOd Glalie and the Sealeos, but failed to beat Hariyama and got OHKOd by Surf. Next attempt was easy, without the freeze Hax, Hariyama swept her.
Drake: First i beat Shelgon with Blaziken, then switched to Hariyama, set up on Flygon and swept, a paralysis from Dragonbreath even came in handy since Hariyama' ability is Guts.
Steven: OHKOd Skarm with Flamethrower, set up on Aggron and swept his team with Hariyama.
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Final Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Avian Flu / Blaziken Lv.60 m @ Lax Incense
Naughty Nature / Blaze
~ Aerial Ace
~ Bulk Up
~ Sky Uppercut
~ Flamethrower
I mainly used it for anything Hariyama couldn't handle, like Golbats or stuff that is weak to Fire. But it still got pretty high, mainly thanks to the tons of Rare Candys my 4 Pickup slaves (later on they were 3, i needed a Tentacool to dive and Waterfall)
[PokeCommunity.com] R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Makit / Hariyama Lv.69 m @ Shell Bell
Hardy Nature / Guts
~ Return
~ Brick Break
~ Bulk Up
~ Earthquake
Hariyama gained Exp insanely fast due to being traded so in the end its level was far above Blaziken's. I played it as a bulky set-up sweeper, it did the job very well, except for when Glacia's Glalie got the freeze hax and i was too stupid to use a Full Restore

I guess I should update my status.....I lost my save data, so I'm pretty much out and I don't wanna go through everything again.

well now, i made it to the elite four. but i lost because i suck.

Team:

Zombies! lvl 50 (it started sucking less, so i gave it a nickname)
"image removed"
Dig
Return
Shadow Ball
Grudge

Mood4Luv lvl 52
"image removed"
Aerial Ace
Confuse Ray
Faint Attack
Shadow Ball

Pupa lvl 51
"image removed"
Shock Wave
Shadow Ball
Will-o-Wisp
Facade

ForDissent lvl 51
"image removed"
Shadow Ball
Ice Beam
Confuse Ray
Will-o-Wisp

this team is pretty much a giant failure.
