first (I made this one thread because small threads, I've learned, are annoying).

I downloaded an Emerald rom, and at the beginning I did the whole clock-setting thing, and I remembered that I did the same in my version of Sapphire.

why? what does the clock actually do? I mean, you set it, and forget about it. but it should have some significance, should it not? a previous non-functional rom said "lol, internal clock dry - NO EMERALD FOR YOU!!" so, I assume it means something.

and - would the world explode?

I thought of a scenario when the world just might.

so, you're in a battle with your friend, and the moment you take out his fifth pokemon, yours dies of poisoning. annoyingly, this was your fifth, too. so, you send out your last pokemon, wobuffet (unlikely, but bear with me for a moment), and so does your friend. it seems you think alike because he has a wobuffet, too!

(this is also with smeargles, but since they can learn anything, no one would really send out a smeargle with 4 'sketches')

so, what happens? do the DSs die simultaneously? does someone from GameFreak knock on your door and steal your DS and disappear into the night? or does the world explode? :\

About the time: It is needed for berries to grow, and for Eevee to evolve in either Espeon or Umbreon.

And about the second: Why exactly would DSes die because of two Wobbuffet? They learn attacks too right? I would be more interested what would happen if two Ditto would battle together as the last Pokémon. However, in all cases, when PP is out, the Pokés start to Struggle and one of them dies first.

As far as I know, in Gen III, you are stuck with an endless battle until you Struggle, as neither can switch out.

In Gen IV, they implemented a new feature where 2 pokemon with Shadow Tag can switch out from eachother.

This is a joke thread, right? The games aren't going to explode. Use the Q&A thread next time.
