    There are islands far off from most of society. They are called the Rainbow Islands. No one had heard of them for the longest time, that is, except for their residents. There are a total of five islands, each with their own distinguishing features. Different Pokemon inhabit each island, and overall, it's very peaceful. That is, until tourists and Team Rocket find these islands. Your role is either as a native islander, a tourist, a Team Rocket grunt. or even a native Pokemon. You can many things on these islands, but it's your choice as to exactly what you do. Good luck.

    The Islands

    Crimson Island: This island is the biggest island, and in the center of all the others. It has an inactive volcano in the center with a hot spring, and is mainly inhabited by fire types. The sun generally shines the most on this island. There aren't many trees, except for palm trees on the beach. The entire coast is a beach, which both Pokemon and human alike love to relax at. There are also many homes and shops, and it is where most of the people of Rainbow Islands live.

    Golden Island: This island is slightly south of Crimson island. It is the third largest island. Like Crimson Island, the weather is generally quite hot. Lots of different types of Pokemon live here. There are several ponds and lakes scattered across the island, along with a community pool. There are a lot of beaches, but not as many as there are at Crimson Island. There is some cliffs as well. The population of this island is slightly smaller than it is at Crimson Island, but not by much.

    Turquoise Island: This island is west of Crimson Island, and is the second smallest island. The main attraction in the center is a waterfall. There are a lot of lakes as well. The population is surprisingly high, considering the size of the island, being almost as high as Emerald Island. A lot of water types live here. There are many houses and a few shops in this island.

    Emerald Island: This island east of Crimson Island, and is the second largest island. Despite it's size, it is mainly forest, and not many people live here. A lot of grass and bug Pokemon make their home here. Because of all the trees and shade, the temperature stays pretty cool.

    Lilac Island: This island is far north of Crimson Island, and is the smallest island. It's fairly cool with temperature. Some ice types are here, along with a few other types. It is rather hilly, and homes are built on the flatter areas. It has the smallest population out of all the islands, and is mainly inhabited by Pokemon.

    Name: Zelda "ZZ" Zimmerman, Minion 43

    Gender: Female

    Age: 22

    Personality: Young and starry-eyed, Zelda loves the life of a Team Rocket grunt. She views her work as an essential part of the success of any operation. Eager to please and with a flair for the dramatic, she gives every task 110%. She is hyperactive and prone to poor decisions, but always bounces back from her many failures.

    Appearance: ZZ is tall and lanky, and wears a standard issue black shirt and skirt. She only wears her hat in official meetings, prefering to tuck it into her belt otherwise. Her white hair is cut short and dyed blue to match her eyes, but a poor application of dye has left the hair by her ears undyed. Her hair sticks up in an ahoge, no matter what she does to fix it.

    History: A native of Celadon City, ZZ lived in a small house by the department store. Her mother worked as a cashier there, and her father worked at the power plant by Cerulean. ZZ was a poor student, finsihing high school with a D-. She was able to get a job as a server in the Game Corner, but she lost all of her life savings gambling. She stumbled across Team Rocket's hideout while cleaning after hours, and joined the group in order to pay off her debt.

    She was originally paired up with another grunt, a man called "Top", but he was shipped off to their Johto branch by request. ZZ was sent off to represent the Celadon office in the Rainbow Islands, and told not to return until she had successfuly established a branch on Lilac Island.

    Age: 24

    Personality: An overworked salaryman, Ario is intelligent bland. This vacation is exactly what he needs to unwind, and he plans on finally being himself again. He is easily excited and curious about new things, and seems rather ditzy and buffoonish.

    Appearance: With short black hair and eyes concealed behind thick glasses, Ario resembles a sterotypical office worker. He is 5' 10" with a wide body, giving him a stocky appearance. He is dressed for vacation, with black sweatpants, white socks and sandals, and a bright orange Hawaiian shirt. For some reason he is wearing a black tie as well.

    History: Ario works 12-hour shifts at an office building in Johto, and lives alone in an apartment building. Having worked for four years without taking a vacation, he feels he is long overdue. He is bringing his pet Pokemon along with him, because he doesn't know anyone who can take care of it for him.

    Appearance: Black medium lengthed hair, and always wears a hat (usually a yellow and black cap but is sometimes seen with other hats.) He is 175cm tall and has a slender build. He wears a red jacket with a black t-shirt under, black shorts, white socks and white running shoes with 3 red stripes.

    History: A travelling Pokemon Trainer from Johto who previously travelled to Sinnoh. After returning to his home region, he chose to take a holiday at Rainbow Islands before departing for Isshu as it was his childhood friend's suggestion. He also lets his Minun and Dratini out of their Pokeball often as they are his favorite pokemon.

    Name: Cliff Edwards

    Gender: Male

    Age: 27

    Personality: To a stranger, Cliff can be secretive, and often difficult to read, but that's understandable being a member of the International Police. He often tries to stay as inconspicuous as possible, using his wit and stealth to stay unnoticed. He often tends to be over cautious, a simple trait that has grown since his work undercover throughout many criminal gangs.
    Even though it can be hard, once his trust had been gained, he can relax. And to those he can class as his friends, he can be fairly fun-loving, and much more cheerful.
    He tends to use long words and abbreviations, many of which are completely alien to others around him, meaning he then has to explain them to others. Although he doesn't have much of a problem with it, as it gives him a sense of higher intellect.

    Appearance: Cliff stands at a tall 6'2", giving him a fairly intimidating look. He has short, dark-brown hair, and eyes which are a near copy colour wise. He wears a white t-shirt and tie, which are covered by a thick, brown trench-coat, which just adds to his mysterious look. His trousers are fairly basic and grey/black, and he wears a pair of brown 'Doc Martens'.

    History: Cliff was born in the bustling city of Hearthome-Sinnoh, and is where his main base of operations is located. He spent his early years with his mother, father, and two sisters. His father worked as one of the Sinnoh Police Officers, which Cliff feels was one of the main reasons he became one himself. Apart from this, his life was fairly ordinary and uneventful, verging on near boring, giving Cliff a lust for adventure.

    At the age of 15, he was given his first Pokémon, a Budew, which became his closest friend. Eventually, he became a junior member of the Sinnoh Police Force, and soon showed amazing promise in the field, leading him to become a member of the International Police. After mission after mission, he was assigned to investigate the archipelago of the Rainbow Islands, starting with the largest island, Crimson.

    Name: Nathaniel 'Nate' Thompson.

    Gender: Male.

    Age: 14.

    Personality: Nathaniel can display a wide variety of emotions. He is normally brave and bold when he is around people that he accepts, or if his pokemon are with him. He can be shy or even aggressive if he does not trust somebody who has found his home, which is quite reasonable given the lengths that has has gone to keep it a secret from others.

    Overall though, he is friendly, outgoing and willing to help just about anyone who asks him nicely enough.

    Appearance: Aside from standing at exactly five feet, these are the things one notices about nate. He has wild, golden blonde hair that he keeps in something like a ponytail. His honey brown eyes are protected by a thick pair of glasses, which appear to have seen better days. The same goes for his light brown cargo pants, which have evolved into cargo shorts!

    Wait, does it really count as an evolution if they become smaller and are capable of less? Probably not.

    Nate doesn't usually wear a shirt, due to Emerald Island's high shirt-ripping tree population, but he does throw on a green t-shirt when the weather gets cooler than average. He does however, wear a necklace that consists of small shiny stones and feathers that he has gathered over time.

    History: When he was twelve, Nate suffered a blow to the head while exploring. When he woke up, he was all alone in a forest that he did not recognise with no idea of who he was or where he had come from. Luckily, he befriended a caterpie and a nincada who helped him to survive in the wild and make himself a home amongst the trees.

    As time went by, Nate realised that something was missing. There was nobody like him in the forest! It wasn't long until the three of them arrived in a town, where he was instantly recognised, but nobody would tell him what became of his parents.

    Nate was glad to belong and know that there were others like him in the world, but he knew that he felt more at home away from all the buildings. Since then, he has made regular trips into town to trade berries and other items that he finds while exploring the reigon.

    Personality:

    Daniel's an anti-social person. He doesn't like to make new friends and would rather travel alone. He is not very athletic and prefers reading a book to running at any time. He can also be quite rude to people who try to talk to him or who "interferes with his private/reading time". He is also quite stuck up. He is smarter than your average person though but has difficulty expressing his intents or thoughts to others. The only ones who understand him or are his friends are his Pokemon, Rally and Kadra.

    Appearance:

    Daniel has purple hair and wears comfortable/casual blue shirt with long blue jeans. His eyes are purple as well. He carries a black slingbag that contains books, notebooks and stationery. His Pokeballs are attached to a black belt that he wears to keep his jeans up.

    History:

    Daniel is born in Saffron City. His parents are pretty respected and busy people and are almost never around to look after or talk to him. As such, he is very neglected. Due to this negligence, Daniel grew up without much interaction with other people. He turned to reading books to fill up his free time in the day. This has probably lead to his anti-socialness, as it makes him feel that he doesn't need friends to live happily, although he feels lonely.

    On occasions where his parents are home, they are always busy with work and ask him to play on his own. When he complained that he was lonely, his parents gave him an Abra, which he renamed Kadra. At first, he hated Kadra and intentionally ignored it/caused harm to it, but after some period of Kadra being insistently kind and friendly towards him, he relented and Kadra became one of his closest friends.

    He found Rally in the patch of grass outside Celadon City when he was out playing. Seeing that the Ralts was abandoned and hurt, he found his situation similar to his own and brought Rally home to be treated.

    When he became 18, he got permission from his parents to journey the world. His parents gave him quite a hefty sum of money before he left. Although, ever since he has reached the Rainbow Islands, he has spent most of it and has only a little left. Also, Rally and Kadra has evolved into Kirlia and Kadabra respectively.

    Personality:

    Darcy is very much a silent, careful individual. He never speaks or makes a move without first carefully considering it, and doesn't often show what he's feeling. He tries to suppress it, but he's often cynical and distrustful, the first to point out the flaws in a plan, and is often able to use his impressive intelligence to correct them. Darcy also tends to be very picky about little details. He may not always be happy about it, but he places the success of his mission above anything else. Though he may appear cold, he genuinely cares for his pokemon and has been with them for a long time.

    Appearance:

    Darcy wears a standard Team Rocket grunt uniform at all times, complete with cap, keeping it meticulously clean and neat. His hair is short and crimson red. He keeps it entirely combed back from his face, and has a habit of running his hand back through it when he's nervous. His eyes are a pale brown, and concealed behind a pair of wire-framed rectangular glasses, which often have the 'scary shiny' white glow to them, even in the dark, oddly.

    History:

    Darcy was originally from Mauville Town in Johto, where he was left mostly to himself by his parents, who were often away at work. In order to be accepted by the other children, he developed a skill with magic tricks. In particular, a skill with escaping. He gradually grew more accepted, but still felt distant.

    Eventually, Team Rocket came to Mauville in the course of one of their plans. It was at this time that the then-teen Darcy was recruited. He enjoyed the loss of identity, the feeling of being a part of a unified group, and left his home with the group. Over the course of several years, Darcy developed a reputation with many successful missions, planned carefully and executed flawlessly. Having gained the trust of his superiors, Darcy was selected for a mission in the Rainbow Islands, where Team Rocket were not yet established.

    Background: (I'm adding this in because I want to) Niveus was born on Crimson island very close to the volcano to alpha male and female of his pack, along with two brothers and a sister. Because of his unusal white fur, Niveus was already a unquie Growlith who many thought would take over the pack. This idea was all but confermed when it was shown that Niveus was also brave and very strong. He always put the pack above anything else and did what he could to help them. His brothers, of course, didn't like this and they often fought but Niveus usually came out the winner. He was also the first of his siblings to find a fire stone and evolve. However, before he could begin the training to become a true pack leader, Team Rocket attacked his pack's hiding place and captured as many of his pack as they could. Niveus was able to get away but now wonders Crimson island, trying to figure out what to do next...

    Name: Saige Mid

    Gender: Male

    Age: 19

    Personality: Saige is a lazy bum, or so most would call him. He is relaxed most of the time and does not make a big fuss about much of anything. He can be frustrated if things are not going right because of some variable he doesn't understand though. He is very analytical, contrary to popular belief. He thinks everything he does through, and knows there is so much to offer in the world that he takes advantage of anything he can. He battles hard and can normally think his way out of a situation, provided he tries hard enough.

    Appearance: Saige has dark blue eyes, they remind people of vast, stormy oceans that go on forever. His hair is black like a ravens, but is short and spiked in the front. His build is thin, and his skin is olive and soft. He is always wearing a teal V-neck with blue skinny jeans, and black vans. When he is in a colder area, he will have a think plaid jacket over his shirt.

    History: Saige was born and raised in Vermillion City in Kanto. As a young boy he was given two Poliwag's which he named Maelstrom and Oceanus, both of them were very sweet and good to him. Wandering around Kanto, he had learned a lot about those two, and when they both evolved in a double battle, he was overjoyed. His father had confessed to him that they were the only Pokemon he could find, but Saige was not mad, he could have cared less. His father was relieved and let him go off to train with Oceanus and Maelstrom.

    After a few years, around his 12-16 years, he had traveled through Kanto, Sinnoh, Johto, and Hoenn. But in that time span, he had been rather unsucessful in battles. Even though he now had a Poliwrath and a Politoed, it was not getting him any closer to winning any battles. But when he had traveled to a region known as Orre, he had learned a lot from the people there and began to train under a man named Jax. Jax was also what was called a "branch trainer" meaning they trained Pokemon of the same branch evolution. He carried with him a Gallade and a Gardevouir.

    As he and Jax trained in the harsh environment of Orre, they had traveled through the desert, going to underground cities where he had found many strong trainers. Overall, this was a great place for him. As he had found more suitable places, him and Jax had decided to settle in Gateon Port where they could stay close to water. Saige felt good about Orre and stayed there until he was 19. He has just left Gateon, from that very port, a much stronger trainer, and is now going to these islands, he plans on fighting the good fight there, and when all is said and done, come back to Orre, and settle there permanently.

    ( Spruce is a native, yet unlike the others has journeyed from the island to visit other professors for research and meetings.

    Name: Professor Kai Spruce.

    Gender: Male.

    Age: 22

    Personality: Professor Kai Spruce is a kind natured person, although young he is wise and uses this ability to anyone and everyone he meets with advice and tips. He loves Pokémon, every Pokémon, Any Pokémon. He is giving, caring and hard working. Having experienced a large amount of interactions with diverse people and pokémon, as well as seeing their relationships, he understands other people or pokémon well, and is able to form a connection with them quickly and easily.

    Appearance: Spruce has sky blue eyes and spikey, soft blonde hair. He wears rectangular glasses which are built in with pokémon analysis technology as well as other features. He has a poketch on his wrist and a PDA on his waist. He wears a white leather jacket that mimics that of older professors long professor coats, and wears black jeans/combats depending on the occasion.

    History: Spruce was born on Lilac island, his mother didn't have a partner, and a doctor from Golden Island delivered Spruce. His mother died during birth, and he was left in the doctor's care. Dr Lyra Munroe taught him advanced medicine as well as other advanced studies in terms of human and pokémon care and history. By the time he was 13, Spruce had the intellectual value of a 19 - 20 year old. Although Lyra was getting old, and Spruce took it upon himself to care for her until her time came- This wasn't too long. Soon after Lyra fell ill, she passed away leaving Spruce her possesions and money. He transformed her old house/clinic into a working small hospitals, hiring nurses and putting a doctor in charge of it. He moved back to Lilac island, using the last the of the money to do the last thing Lyra told him she wanted him to do with his life, which was to study and research Pokémon, every aspect of them. And help with their understanding and history. Spruce did this, and produced a large research facility on Lilac Island, fit with heated chambers inside for fire pokemon as well as lakes and man-made waterfalls for water pokemon. Stables, Running tracks and large play pens for pokémon of any type. Spruce also bought a small plane to travel to the other regions to continue his research.
    Till this day, his research is still dedicated to Lyra and his Mother.

    Honestly it looks like Charlotte is AWOL, and this RP is going no where... Not trying to be negitive I almost did a character for this to see how a more open world RP would work (and I have a character idea I still have not been able to use...), but I PMed Charlotte a question several weeks ago and no response...

    he was then sent to help in the rainbow islands.

    Snorunt's family was killed in an avalanche. He managed to wriggle free from the soft snow covering his body, unlike his family who were stuck under the much heavier snow and suffocated. He spent years getting to know the mountains of Lilac Island and soon knew his way around easily. He cannot leave the mountains, because he doesn't want to leave the ghosts of his family behind.

    In his years, he has befriended a kindly boy named Luke, who lives at the foothills and provides him with food. They have become good friends and treat each other well.
