Random Question about Storing Pokemon

Hey, I'm new here, and I need some help.
I would like to be able to reset a Pokémon handheld game so that I can replay it WITHOUT losing all of my Pokémon. I would like a safe place where I can store the Pokémon I've trained and be able to transfer them back. I do not have anyone to trade with, so I can't use that method, and I've been searching for a different method for about a week now, but have not been able to find one.
I know that you can trade between Ruby/Sapphire and Pokémon Colosseum on the GCN, but can you trade between Pokémon Colosseum and Firered/Leafgreen? And if you can, would that allow me to use Pokémon Colosseum as an effective storage device for GBA Pokémon, so that I can restart my GBA game without losing my Pokémon? And I have all those same questions about Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness. Furthermore, could I use Pokémon Battle Revolution for the Wii in that same way for the DS games? And is Battle Revolution compatible with Soulsilver/Heartgold? And what about Pokémon Ranch, for Wiiware?
If someone could help me out, please let me know!

Yes to the Advanced Generation stuff. You might also try Pokemon Box, which is just a storage system for Gamecube. It holds 1500 pokemon, and you get various eggs for using it.

As far as I know, No to Battle Revolution, and Pokemon Ranch is only for Diamond and Pearl, not Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver. If I remember correctly.

so do both pokemon coliseum and xd gale of darkness work for both r/s/e and lg/fr?
and is there anything out there that can store your pokemon from heartgold/soulsilver?

Yes, both games work for them.

I'm not sure about HG/SS storage though.
