    Are natures randomly generated with each Pokémon or are some common and some rarer than others?

    The reason I ask is because I've been trying to breed an Adamant Sneasel all day. I've now just bred my 100th Sneasel and not one of them has an Adamant nature. I have 6+ bold, quiet and quirky and multiples of every other nature, but no adamant ones.

    So is an adamant nature quite rare or am I just very unlucky?

    I've also tried to look for a Serious natured Pokémon and had an incredibly difficulty in doing so. o_O Might've just been me, though.

    Isn't serious bad?
    Anyways it does seem like that Adamant and modest seem to be the 2 top rarest when I breed

    I think you're just unlucky. Unless things have changed in this generation, natures are completely random.

    What you could do, if you have Emerald or FR/LG, is catch a Ditto with an Adamant nature and transfer it, but make sure you also have an Everstone. Let the Ditto hold the Everstone, and breed it with a MALE Sneasel. When the egg comes out, there's a 50% chance it will be the nature of the Everstone Poke (in this case, Adamant... worked with my Beldums, I have about 50 Adamant Beldums on my Emerald).

    But beware: this only works when Ditto OR the Female holds the stone.

    There's 26 natures so it's pretty hard to actually find a pokemon with the right nature. However, if you have a Synchronizer (pokemon with the ability Synchronize like Alakazam or Espeon) in the front of your party, there's a 50% chance that the wild pokemon's nature will be the same as it. ^^; For breeding, try getting an Adamant Ditto and make it hold Everstone. I have a spare so if you have wifi, PM me.

    Except when using Everstone in breeding, natures are random. I've had instances where I got the right nature on the first egg, instances where I got the right nature on the second egg, and even instances where it took me SIXTY eggs. Nyaa, what a way to spend a day.

    Aw, thanks for the offer. I've finally managed to get one myself now, though. I appreciate the offer all the same.

    You think sixty eggs is bad? Look at these:

    120 Sneasels! And that's not including the first dozen or so that I released. It's been horrible findind an adamant one. :<

    Lol. I have a few Adamant natured sneasels. XD

    And natures are random, unless you use the ditto and the everstone thing. I also know how you feel, because, I also have bred over 400 treekos and no shiny. >->

    Ichida: The female pokemon or the Ditto needs to hold the Everstone and her/its nature will have a 50% chance of being passed down. The male won't work.
    Legacy: ROFL. XD You're welcome though and I'm glad you finally got an Adamant one. Let's hope that Sneasel knows Ice Punch too... If not, it really wasn't worth the time. :S
    I've breeded for Jolly Gibles and I got a female one with flawless speed on about the fourth egg. ^^ But I never seem to have any Naive pokemon... So I guess it's just each person's luck. Or cursed game. I haven't gotten a shiny in about 6 months. :(

    In D/P for some reason I keep getting tons of shinies =/ Guess I have good luck

    I just gave you one a couple days ago >.>...

    Actually, put in a male and female of the same Pokemon (or maybe evolution line), give the male an Everstone, and the trick will still work. I have some Jolly Elekids that are a testament to that. It won't work if it's a male and Ditto, though...for whatever reason.

    Why have you not released those yet, then? <.<;;

    Yeah, it has Ice Punch. I would've been mega peeved if I'd spent all that time and effort for a pretty worthless Pokémon. XD

    Because I'm stupid and lazy like that. :P

    You sure about that? It seems to work for me. At least in Emerald it does. I was always under the impression that a Female-Ditto relation wouldn't work.

    It didn't work for me in Diamond. I got 4 random natures when I had a Ditto & male w/ Everstone, but when I switched the Ditto for a female version of the other one, 2--no, 3 of the 4 eggs I got had the nature I wanted.

    Wait...it just now worked when I tried with my male Espeon X_X......oy, now I'm annoyed >.>;

    its totally random, but I like a serious nature Pokemon more because that fits my nature and its very hard to find

    I remember complaining about not having any Adamant natured Pokemon, then all of a sudden the next 3 or 4 Pokemon I caught were Adamant O_o...
