    welcome, this is my diamond team, as of now, without the legendarys.

    well, thats my team, they are all lvl 100. if yopu want to replace something just ask, and i will see if it is possible. also, and critisism(sp?) is appreciated.

    Well, I'll have to explain the basics to you:

    1. Element Usage

    2 or more attacks of the same element should not be in the same moveset unless an attack is a supportive attack.

    Bad Example:

    Electivire

    Shock Wave
    Thunderbolt
    Thunder
    Thunderpunch

    All of these attacks fall under one element, therefore cannot cover any weaknesses or enemies.

    Good Example:

    Electivire

    Thunderpunch
    Icepunch
    Crosschop
    Earthquake

    All attacks of the different element make it more diverse. The Bad Electivire can only cover few pokemon with the water type and the flying type. The Good Electivire can cover its weaknesses, very diverse. It can cover grass, ground, flying, water, electric, steel, rock, and probably many more that I've missed.

    2. Take advantage of stats.

    If you see a stat that is high above average, put it into good use. Electivire's stats focus on the physical category, so take advantage of it. Do not give it special attacks like Thunderbolt or thunder. Thunderpunch is an ideal move for it since it is a physical move. Crosschop, Icepunch, and EQ as well. Use that massive 123 attack stat instead of 95 special attack.

    3. Hyperbeam

    Hyperbeam and elemental Hyperbeams such as Hydrocannon, Roar of Time, and Rock Wrecker should not be use. They all take 2 turns. If you use surf 2 times, it is way more powerful than Hydrocannon.

    4. Low-accuracy moves.

    Moves like Hydropump, Fireblast, Thunder and Blizzard should not be used. The tend to miss very often while Surf, Flamethrower, and T-bolt always hit.

    There are few exceptions. Rainy weather tied in with Thunder is a must. Hail with Blizzard is a must. Weather conditions cause accuracy risings for certain attacks.

    BTW, go with that Electivire moveset
     
    wow...thank you penguinpal6. i greatly appreciate it. i understand what you are saying about the electivire. thats one of the reasons i put it in my team, because i knew its moves were bad.that electivire looks much better. but what do you siggest i replace feraligatr's hydro pump with? i cant get my electivire to remember cross chop and ice punch, are there any substitutes i could use?

    Hydropump is replaced with Waterfall, as for Crosschop and Icepunch, I'm not quite sure.

    Facade while holding a Toxic Orb works pretty well. Brick Break is a substitute for Crosschop.

    Facade(Toxic Orb),Brick Break, Rock Slide, Return, or Fling(Hard Stone) are good substitutions.

    Rock Slide and Fling w/ hard stone is a good combo.

    Really, Crosschop and Icepunch are the best Choices.

    Firepunch is good to handle grasstypes

    Please, if you're going to murder Electivire, don't use him at all.
