This is a team of three that I've been using for the Single Battle challenge in Sun and Moon's Battle Tree. Although they can win a few battles consecutively, I've only ever gotten a 10 win streak. My goal is to get a 20 win streak to unlock the Super Battle Tree mode. Any advice?

    Toxapex-(Poison/Water)
    Gender: Male
    Ability: Limber
    Nature:Impish
    Characteristic: Takes plenty of siestas
    Moves
    -Baneful Bunker
    -Toxic
    -Toxic Spikes
    -Venom Drench
    Held item: Shuca Berry
    Highest EV: Defense

Toxapex purposefully has no outright attacks. Instead, I start the match with a Toxic to badly poison the opponent, then switch out between using Baneful Bunker to protect myself and two Toxic Spikes to set a powerful trap, all while the initial opponent's poison damage grows larger. His high defense and almost as high special defense make him a damage sponge, and Venom Drench lets him weaken a poisoned enemy once two Toxic Spikes have been used. The Shuca Berry protects from a supereffective Ground attack. The biggest flaw with this is that Poison and Steel types essentially make him useless, as they can't be poisoned. So to counter this, I have...

    Turtonator-(Fire/Dragon)
    Gender: Male
    Ability: Shell Armor
    Nature: Mild
    Characteristic: Thoroughly cunning
    Moves
    -Earthquake
    -Flash Cannon
    -Shell Trap
    -Flamethrower
    Held item: Firium Z
    Highest EV: Special Attack

Turtonator serves as a counter to any Steel types that could've been immune to Toxapex's poison. I was using an Alola Marowak for this before, but found that Turtonator out does Alola Marowak in every stat except Speed. His high special attack makes for a strong Flamethrower-especially if turned into a Z move- and Shell Trap does a whopping 150 damage to enemies who use physical moves, which Steel types usually do. His Fire/Dragon makes him resistant to many types, with Rock and Ground being his two biggest weak points.

    Alakazam-(Psychic)
    Gender: Male
    Ability: Inner Focus
    Nature: Brave
    Characteristic: Sturdy body
    Moves
    -Focus Blast
    -Energy Ball
    -Dazzling Gleam
    -Psychic
    Held item: Alakazite
    Highest EV: Attack :/

To counter the other two defensive but very slow Pokemon, Alakazam is a hard hitter with high speed and even higher special attack. I initially used him just to use the Alakazite that Dexio gives you, but found that he was exceptionally strong. His move arsenal is all special moves of different types to counter many other different types. Energy Ball for any Ground types that were good against Toxapex and Turtonator, Focus Blast for any Ice or Normal types, Dazzling Gleam for Dragon types, and Psychic for any Poison types that were also immune to Toxepex's poison. The biggest problem is that I got this Pokemon from the GTS, and didn't EV train him as well as the other two. His highest EV-tied with Speed-is Attack, which is obviously a waste, as his high special attack could've been even higher.

Any thoughts as to how I could improve the team to get that 20 win streak in the Battle Tree?

The way you have Toxapex right now seems to be a waste of its good qualities to me really. I think this is a lot better:

    Toxapex @ Black Sludge
    Ability: Regenerator
    EVs: 248 HP / 184 Def / 76 SpD
    Calm Nature
    -Scald
    -Recover
    -Haze
    -Toxic Spikes/Toxic

The Defense and Sp.Defense EVs can be played around with, I just did something for a mixed bulk spread. But going like this makes you less Taunt bait and greatly improves its longevity while preventing it from being set-up bait and retaining the ability to poison the opponent.

I feel that there are better choices than Turtonator for that slot, as it's slow and has underwhelming power (base 91 SpA is not high). Its most powerful attack is based on....getting hit with a physical move when it has no recovery. If Poison and Steel types are worrying, a Ground type is funnily enough a good choice to deal with those. I don't remember all the Ground types available in Sun & Moon, but I'm pretty sure Garchomp is and that's a good one. Flygon might be usable now that it has Dragon Dance. It works out well with Toxapex as it covers their Ice and Fairy weaknesses, while they aren't Ground weak and are immune to Electric, and have some decent resistances besides, while having more speed and power.

I think I will switch out Turtonator for Garchomp. I actually have a Gabite in the PC that I caught during the main game, and Turtonator's slow speed was starting to bug me. I'll also look into switching up Toxepex's moveset. Thanks for the feedback.

Success! After switching out Turtonator for Garchomp, I managed to get that 20 win streak and beat Red. There were a few close calls, but Garchomp's Ground type coverage and maxed out Attack stat saved the day more than once.

breed stronger pokes instead of the using caught pokes with poor evs. them super battles...you'll need em. The ub's and Tapus and the special snorlax and greninja will all have at least 3 perfect evs. Also if you go find gladion in the aether foundation after the story is over he will give you a sweet ass null with multiple perfect ev. So you can just grab a combination of those and train up their ivs to push through the battle tree.

Not the special Snorlax. Mine has only 2 pretty goods, the rest are all decent.
