Rate My Cloyster

[Flame Demon]

I've never really used Cloyster before and I wasn't sure about the EVs. Suggestions are gladly accepted.


Cloyster (M) @ Leftovers ** Hard Clampin'
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 164 Def / 76 SAtk
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Spikes
- Explosion

I thought 480 Defense is good for Cloyster consider its got Fighting and Rock weaknesses. The only thing I really hate is its HP. I decided I really needed to max it out because it was pathetic.

What do you think?

Don't use both Rest and Explosion on the same Pokemon. That's oxymoronic. Choose to either live or commit suicide. Rapid Spin please. Cloyster is one of those few Spinners that can stand up to Skarmory.

Yeah, I guess so. Rapid Spin over Explosion because I find it the most useless move there.

Surf is stronger than Water Pulse
Ice beam is stronger than Aurora Beam
Cloyster has bad Sp.Atk so it needs powerful moves
Cloyster is a spiker and should have spikes
