Rate my Ice Team

Why would I need a focus sash for sword dance? Also, I was thinking of adding in a Arcanine to absorb fire attacks. Which pokemon do you think I should get rid of?

Froslass, you already got a Speed Pokemon :)

(and yes, Focus Sash with Swords Dance is a "must", because Weavile has low defenses)

I know alot of people love her but in my opinion Frosslass is WAY overated, the ghost dual type and ability to learn Destiny Bond are the only things that make her decent. Of course if your looking for speed, Frosslass and Weavile are the fastest ice types.

I personnaly love Cloyster but if your looking for an Abomasnow replacement, you might want to consider Walrein/Lapras/Jinx.

No. Frosslass is needed on an Ice Team. Ice Pokemon = Weak against fighting. It absorbs the fighting moves.

If the opponent uses a fighting move, simply swap into Swampert :D

-Ice Punch
-Brick Break
-Night Slash
-Substitute

If you are going to have Liechi Berry, you might as well have Substitute to use with pressure and to use the berry.

Glaceon

-Ice Beam
-Shadow Ball
-Mirror Coat
-Ice Shard

Ice Shard is a good finishing attack when the opponent is at low health.

Also, Walrein would be useful.

Yeah but Ice Shard is Physical T_T

Swampert takes neutral damage to fighting, as does Jynx. Combine that with Jynx's horrible defense, easy OHKO to ScarfCross's Close Combat.

But Swampert is a very bulky Water Type, it can even take a Grass attack!

Ahh yes that may be true, you got me there but Jinx/Walrein/Lapras would still help his team out alot.

Not sure about Swampert taking a grass attack, being 4x damage and all.

Its cause it took a Leaf Blade from a Sceptile in Colosseum when I battled my friends Swampert XD

Swampert can't take a leaf storm unless the sceptile had 0 Sp.Atk IVs, had an Adamant nature, and was Captivated three times.

Swampert still takes quite a hefty amount from a Heracross with a Close Combat. Just for fun, I did a damage Calculation.:

A heracross with 252 EVs in Atk does 40.35% - 47.52% with Close Combat to a 252 Hp/252 Def Swampert. So yea, that's quite a chunk.

Swampert is an Ice Type? Oh, I never knew that. Now I feel stupid.

Yes it is an Ice type... -_-;

Cloyster is the best possible defensive wall Ice type...

You need some serious walling to do.

If you're not too harsh on legendaries, Articuno can put an end to the ground weakness.

I like to suprise people and run Glaceon as a Wall with supporting Sp. atk. Can't remeber the set, works really well with Cloyster in double battles though.
Running Glaceon as a wall? How does that work? Could you find what the move set for that is?

okay and sorry i meant Walrein OR Lapras.

Edit:Its more of a double battle moveset than a single one. If you ever do a double battle I have a cloyster and Glaceon moveset hanging around here somewhere.....
