This is for a Monotype tourney being held on Shoddy. We are allowed to have one Pokemon who isn't the same type. This is what I have. Please rate. Thank you.
    Here we go:

    ----------------

    Lead
    Quilfish@Foucus Sash
    Swift Swim-Jolly
    4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

    Waterfall
    Destiny Bond
    Explosion
    Rain Dance

Sets up Rain and takes care of opponents lead. Allows Kingdra to come in without taking a hit.
    ----------

    Spec.Sweep
    Kingdra@Damp Rock
    Swift Swim-Modest
    120 HP / 252 SpA / 136 Spe

    Surf
    Ice Beam
    HP Elec
    Rain Dance

Fairly straightforward. He goes on a Swift Swim sweep.
    ----------

    Phys.Sweep
    Electivire@Expert Belt
    Motor Drive-Adamant
    6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

    Cross Chop
    Ice Punch
    Thunder Punch
    Earthquake

My "wild card". It has great type coverage and I'm sure I will have plenty of chances to take advantage of Volt Absorb considering all his team members are water type. Seemed like a obvious choice to me.
    ----------

    Phys.Tank
    Swampert@Leftovers
    Torrent-Impish
    252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Def

    Earthquake
    Avalanche
    Waterfall
    Roar

Good Physical Tank that has good coverage and can scout. Considering I will probably be going against a lot of niche teams Roar will come in handy. It was hard giving up Stealth Rock though.
    ----------

    Sp.Def Wall
    Ludicolo@Leftovers
    Rain Dish-Calm
    204 HP / 76 SpA / 124 SpD / 104 Spe

    Rain Dance
    Surf
    Ice Beam
    Leech Seed

Good typing, good Staller and can set up another Rain Dance if needed.
    ----------

    Spinner
    Starmie@Leftovers
    Natural Cure-Timid
    160 HP / 132 SpA / 216 Spe

    Rapid Spin
    Recover
    Surf
    Icebeam

Pretty self explanatory. It spins away unwanted entry hazards and attacks if needed.

    ---------------

Well that's it. Feedback is appreciated.

Electivire is a pretty awful option on a team with Waters. Use Rhyperior, Heatran, or Gliscor or something. The point of the Pokemon that's not sharing the type is to cover up the main weakness, and a Ground type (READ: Swampert doesn't count) is much better for that than Electivire is. Motor Drive is nice, but you need something that doesn't die to my foot if it's not used properly.

Also, put THUNDER in that "wild" poke. Considering all the Rain Dances, a Thunder would increase its accuracy and power...

Also, considering Cloyster. He's a great wall. Or Lapras, for the same reason. Lanturn can also use that Thunder, with the STAB bonus...Or Tentacruel, for walling AND spikes!

    Kingdra@Choice Specs
    Swift Swim/Sniper
EVs: 252 Sp Atk, 252 HP, 6 Spd or 252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP (depending on which ability you go with)
    -Hydro Pump/Surf
    -Draco Meteor
    -Ice Beam/Hidden Power Electric
    -Dragon Pulse

Dragon has the greatest neutral type coverage of all the types, resisted only by steels. Water STAB takes care of said steels with the rain dance boost. Dragon Pulse is for later games when Draco Meteor is out of PP, HP Electric deals with the only resistance of this set (Empoleon) or Ice Beam for more power.

Also Electivire doesn't really meld with this team. Only 2 of your 5 pokemon will draw Thunderbolts, but even then one your blowing up.

Ehh, it only increases the accuracy of Thunder last I checked. Unless something in D/P/P that I'm not aware of.

As for the team, Rapid Spin's use has worn down. You might want to use Specs or something Starmie >> it.

Kingdra gets Outrage now, so the DD set is superior.

Stealth Rock over Roar on Swampert, most Baton Pass teams will screw you over before you can get Pert in, they're gay like that

Pointless waste of SpAtk EVs on Starmie, Garchomp is uber now, making that requirement of 269 SpAtk obsolete. Also, a Rapid Spinner is not needed due to having no SR weaks.

Electivire is a flat-out awful choice for the one exception to the monotype rule. Heatran would be far better, it gives you something to switch into Celebi.

Ironically, you are weak to another Water type, Gyarados, should you face a Flying mono, and also Kingdra weak, and believe me, Dragon teams WILL show up. Vaporeon over Starmie fixes this, and Kingdra has no single counter anyway so meh.

    Also no status absorber.
