I am just learning the ways of competitive battling so forgive me if i say something silly...

    Lead:
    Yanmega@Liechi Berry
    Lonely Nature
    156Atk / 102Def / 252Spd
    Hidden Power Fire
    Hypnosis
    U-turn
    Whirlwind

Lonely and the Speed EV's so I can nip in and sleep or HP fire common leads (metagross Bronzong Jirachi). U-Turn if yanmega can't deal with the lead poke, (usually to skarmory for stealth rock/toxic). And Whirlwind for late game when i know what pokes they might bring out so i can set up or sweep.

    Special Sweeper:
    Gengar@Life Orb
    Timid Nature
    252SpAtk / 252 Spd
    Thunderbolt
    Psychic
    Dark Pulse
    Night Shade

Gengar speaks for himself Timid and Speed and Special Attack EV's. Psychic is a good all round attack it hits a lot of poke's hard. Dark Pulse is for pesky other special sweepers (Alakazam, Porygon-z). Night Shade is a utility attack hist for 100 damage always (may dump this attack for a better one, suggestions?).

    Physical Sweeper:
    Weavile@Life Orb
    Jolly Nature
    252Atk / 252Spd
    Ice Shard
    Swords Dance
    Night Slash
    Brick Break

Weavile is a great poke, she is very fast and very strong. Ice Shard is for silly dragons so i can kill them before they sweep my entire team. Swords Dance is a prep to sweep if I get the opportunity. Night Slash is for damage pure and simple. And Brick Break is to damage Blissey's and Snorlax's

    Mixed Sweeper:
    Salamence@Life Orb
    Timid Nature
    152Spd / 154Atk / 204SpAtk
    Earthquake
    Flamethrower/Fire Fang
    Stone Edge
    Thunder Fang

Earthquake is for coverage as it hits everything hard that doesn't fly. Flamethrower/Fire Fang is for Steel Types (Metagross Magnezone Lucario Bronzong Sizor) and Grass Types. Stone Edge is to kill Gyrados and anything earthquake can't. Thunder Fang is cover as i lack many electric attacks on this team.

    Mixed Wall:
    Skarmory@Leftovers
    Bold Nature
    252HP / 130Def / 128SpDef
    Toxic
    Stealth Rocks
    Brave Bird
    Whirlwind

I love my Skarmory, switch in set rocks toxic then whirlwind rinse and repeat. Brave Bird is just in case.....

    Special Sweeper:
    Heatran@Choice Scarf
    Modest Nature
    252SpAtk / 218 Spd / 40Hp
    Overheat
    Earth Power
    Hidden Power: Grass
    Will-o-Wisp

Meet the newest member of my team, I have no idea what to do with him I really just want someone to burn the opposition. He also has great coverage.

    Lead:
    Yanmega@Focus Sash
    Modest Nature
    252 sp.att / 252Spd / 6 def
    Air Slash
    Hypnosis / Hidden power Ground.
    Bug Buzz
    Protect.

I dont know what you are thinking, since that set didnt make the least bit of sense.

    Special Sweeper:
    Gengar@Life Orb
    Timid Nature
    252SpAtk / 252 Spd
    Thunderbolt
    Focus Blast
    Shadow Ball

    Hidden power Fire

S-Ball has the same coverage as D-Pulse right AND gets STAB. Needs F-Blast or tar/other steels go rofl.

    Physical Sweeper:
    Weavile@Life Orb
    Jolly Nature
    252Atk / 252Spd
    Ice Shard
    Swords Dance
    Night Slash
    Brick Break

    k

    Mixed Sweeper:
    Salamence@Life Orb
    Rash Nature
    80 Atk / 252 sp.att / 176 speed
    Brick Break
    Flamethrower / Fire Blast
    Draco Meteor
    Roost

    Better mixmence.

    Mixed Wall:
    Skarmory@Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe

    Roost
    Stealth Rocks
    Brave Bird
    Whirlwind

Yeah and skarmory is in no way shape or form a mixed wall. Its a physical one and it NEEDS a recovery move.

    Special Sweeper:
    Heatran@Choice Scarf
    Naive Nature
    252SpAtk / 252 speed / 6 att

    Overheat / Fire Blast
    Earth Power
    Hidden Power: Ice
    Explosion

+ speed scarf tran is better imo.

    Comments in bold.

3 Stealth Rock weak pokes is really not gonna fly.

You are also Gyarados and tar weak, badly.

Ok, Yanmega doesnt look as though its doing anything, its walled by everything. =/

    Use something like

    Flygon@CHoice Scarf
    Adamant Nature
    252 ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 HP
    - Stone Edge / ThunderPunch
    - Outrage
    - U-Turn
    - Earthquake

    >>Yanmega. Checks Gyarados and tar to you.

Stone Edge does ~80% to Gyarados AND hits zappy harder than anything else although T-Punch always OHKO's Gyarados, so its up you you.

Sort out your sets then ill come back for a more in depth rate later.

Sorry, but no. If you want to use Lead Yanmega (Which is really the only place you can use it due to its massive SR weakness), use this set:

    Yanmega@Wise Glasses/Expert Belt
    Speed Boost
    Timid Nature
    252 SpA/252 Spe/4 Def

    • Protect
    • Air Slash
    • Bug Buzz
    • Hypnosis
Hypnosis if you think the opponent's lead will use SR, or use Protect for the early speed boost. Then use your two STAB moves via Wise Glasses/Expert Belt to dish out some damage. You can replace Protect/Hypnosis with HP Ground/Ice as well. I still don't recommend using it though :P

    Special Sweeper:
    Gengar@Life Orb
    Timid Nature
    252SpAtk / 252 Spd/4 HP
    Thunderbolt
    Shadow Ball
    Focus Blast
    HP Ice/HP Fire

Much better set, as you have perfect coverage with fighting and ghost type moves. Extra four EVs left, so give yourself one more HP point :P

Weavile is metagame weak now, and has been since early DP. It is outclassed by a lot of other sweepers. I'd suggest a Tyranitar, more specifically a CB Tar, as everyone one of your sweeprs need some sort of set-up, and the extra CB boost would help you out. Plus, helps you tank some special hits via the SpD boost for it with Sand Storm up.

    Tyranitar@Choice Band
    Sand Stream
    Adamant Nature
    252 Atk/176 HP/80 Spe

    • Stone Edge
    • Crunch
    • Pursuit
    • Aqua Tail/Earthquake
Pursuit kills the fleers, while Crunch for when you are planning to hit something staying in. Stone Edge for a powerful STAB move. I prefer Aqua Tail to hit bulky ground types that wall this set completely, whereas you can use Earthquake if you want.

    Mixed Sweeper:
    Salamence@Life Orb
    Timid Nature
    152Spd / 154Atk / 204SpAtk
    Earthquake
    Flamethrower/Fire Fang
    Stone Edge
    Thunder Fang

Earthquake is for coverage as it hits everything hard that doesn't fly. Flamethrower/Fire Fang is for Steel Types (Metagross Magnezone Lucario Bronzong Sizor) and Grass Types. Stone Edge is to kill Gyrados and anything earthquake can't. Thunder Fang is cover as i lack many electric attacks on this team.

Uhh, Timid nature to lower its attack because? Use the standard MixMence.

    Salamence@Life Orb
    Intimidate
    Mild Nature
    216 SpA/208 Spe/84 Atk

    • Draco Meteor
    • Outrage/Roost
    • Earthquake
    • Fire Blast
Draco and Outrage for powerful STABs, Earthquake and Fire Blast for coverage. You can use Roost over Outrage for recovery purposes, with a SR weakness and Life Orb killing its HP.

    Mixed Wall:
    Skarmory@Leftovers
    Bold Nature
    252HP / 130Def / 128SpDef
    Toxic
    Stealth Rocks
    Brave Bird
    Whirlwind

Not as good as it used to be, but you can use it I guess

I love my Skarmory, switch in set rocks toxic then whirlwind rinse and repeat. Brave Bird is just in case.....

    Special Sweeper:
    Heatran@Choice Scarf
    Modest Nature
    252SpAtk / 218 Spd / 40Hp
    Overheat
    Earth Power
    Hidden Power: Grass
    Will-o-Wisp

Meet the newest member of my team, I have no idea what to do with him I really just want someone to burn the opposition. He also has great coverage.

    Use Standard ScarfTran please.

    Heatran@Choice Scarf
    Flash Fire
Naive/Rash Nature (Lower whatever defense stat you please :P)
    252 SpA/252 Spe/4 HP

    • Fire Blast
    • Earth Power
    • Explosion
    • HP Ice/HP Grass/Dragon Pulse
Fire Blast is better than Overheat as it doesn't kill your SpA stat. Earth Power for a special ground move, Explosion when its time has come. The last slot is preference. HP Ice to hit most dragons for a 4x weakness, HP Grass can kill bulky waters that can kill you easily, and Dragon Pulse hits all the dragons for 2x, which includes Kingdra now.

My main problem with your team is that you have 2 SR weak Pokemon, and the rest are hit for it neutral, no resists at all. I'd replace Yanmega that can give you SR right off the bat, and resists it. I love TrickScarf Jirachi, and it is killer.

    Jirachi@Choice Scarf
    Serene Grace
    Jolly Nature
    252 Atk/176 Spe/80 HP

    • Trick
    • Stealth Rock
    • Iron Head
    • U-Turn/Thunder Wave
You can either go for the 60% flinch rate on Iron Head due to Serene Grace to kill suicide leads, or Trick your scarf onto other Pokemon. With Trick, you won't have to worry about having too many choice item users either. Gets Stealth Rock down too. U-Turn to switch with a hit, and Thunder Wave for ParaFlinch tactics.

If you use this, Skarmory now has pretty much no purpose (Plus it gets ripped to shreds now by the majority of what it walls :P Keep it if you want, but I'd switch it for another sweepers (You can decide that one for yourself).

    Line up looks like:
    Jirachi
    Gengar
    Tyranitar
    Heatran
    Skarmory/Sweeper
    Salamence

wow I had no idea I did so much wrong!

Weavile is metagame weak now, and has been since early DP
lol i haven't made a competitive team since then!

thanks, I am currently testing the mods to my team on shoddy :D
