    sceptile lv.50-hyperbeam,solarbeam,leaf blade,and giga drain!

-10/10. -10. Not 10. -10. Solarbeam...no, not without sunny day. You only need one grass move...leaf blade is the best. NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER use hyper beam. EVER. It is the worst move ever created. End. That isn't a good sceptile. Level is irrelevant. Post EVs, nature, and planned moveset, and that certainly isn't a good one. try the subseeding set.

    Spam much?

Although, they're right. Never have more than one move of the same type as another on a Pokemon with exceptions such as Will-o-wisp, Fire Spin, Whirlpool, Thunder Wave, etc. This is also in the wrong board~

    Now, for the Sceptile:

I give a 2/10, sorry kid. The 2 is for Giga Drain, at least.

    Anywho, try this moveset:

~ Thunderpunch (Emerald Version; Move Tutor)
~ Giga Drain (TM 19, you already have it though...)
    ~ Dragon Claw (TM 02)
~ Fury Cutter (Heart Scale/Emerald Move Tutor)

IT was good until fury cutter. Fury cutter is a joke of a move.

    Sceptile @ Leftovers
    Overgrow
    Evs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Timid
    - Substitute
    - Leech Seed
    - Leaf Blade
    - HP Fire

    Standard subseeder.

Fury Cutter is a filler, considering that I seriously think that he doesn't intend to breed for the Egg Moves and such, considering that he wants his Sceptile rated rather than completely redone, then at least give him a moveset that he can get via move tutors or TM, kthnx.

Now, Fury Cutter isn't bad, and although Sceptile doesn't exactly have Bastiodon's Defenses, it could pull it off given the right circumstances. However, now that I've skimmed through Serebii's page Aerial Ace could be better for coverage of other Grass-types.

Leaf blade>Giga drain. giga drain is pretty weak and has horrid PP. Crunch is a nice move for sceptile, since gengar is a scary little monster.

I already rated it. It was terrible. We have to help make it better lol...he didn't specify the gen...

Considering this is in the Advanced Gen board, I'd go ahead and consider this as 3rd gen :-l

Again, Crunch is an Egg Move last I checked, so I'd consider that inaccessible for now, Giga Drain makes up for HP lost from possible Leech Seed, if that's the case then Leaf Blade it is.

Harsh, but you only need one grass move because what if you were battling a Fire Pokemon and you only had grass moves when you could have pwned it with Earthquake? not trying to be mean

    sceptile lv.50-hyperbeam,solarbeam,leaf blade,and giga drain!

Oh yea! I think the best Sceptile I've ever seen! *laughs*

    Spoiler:
    Spoiler:

Hyperbeam is horrible - 3 grass moves is a joke - solarbeam is sucky - and level 50? WTF?

I WILL EAT YOU if you don't change this Sceptile to something half as decent.

Penguin, you're hungry these days, aren't ye? Anyhow, you have to be brutally hnoest. If that means being harsh, I'm gonna have to be.

okay what ill do is teach sceptile dig and brick break insted of hyperbeam and
giga drain i'd keep leaf blade and teach it arial ace as well seeing as sceptile

Nonononononononnononononnonononononnonononononnononononononnonononnonononnononnononnononononnono. Sceptile is either a subseeder (I posted the set earlier) or a special sweeper in 3rd gen:

    Sceptile (F) @ Leftovers ** Scepy Wepy
    Overgrow
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Leaf Blade
    - Thunderpunch
    - Hidden Power [Fire / Ice]
    - Crunch / Dragon claw

you are wasting your earthquake TM giving it to Scaeptile.

Dig is a horrible move. No Aerial Ace either. the SD set only works in gen 4, so no physical attacks. they won't even touch blissey, so no.

EDIT: Penguin, I already posted the subseeder set lol

Omigosh! Thats a great idea No.

    Spoiler:

Use the SubSeeder set - or Sceptile will definitely lose to my cheese omlet.

The special sweeper set is okay...but yeah, it was made to subseed. End.

Penguinpal, try to be a bit more respectful, will you? You're not too far away from a warning now. <.< And both Penguinpal and Anti-Pop Culture Warrior, keep the huge letters, spoilers and a repeated "No"s and "Ever"s to a minimum, please, it just looks extremely messy and makes both of you look like trolls. Not only that, but it's spammy as well. Seriously, I didn't expect a simple topic like this could get so out of hand; I'll expect to see you two on your best behavior in the future, otherwise you might find yourselves with a warning.
