This is my SoulSilver team, I was wondering if some of you could rate it? I'm training for it to be a competitive team. Thanks

Thunder Wave, Thunder, Flash, Discharge

Lugia lvl 80
Adamant
Fly, Surf, Dragon Pulse, Aeroblast

Gyarados lvl 77
Relaxed
Rock Smash, Whirlpool, Ice Fang, Waterfall

Tyranitar lvl 65
Lonely
Crunch, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Rock Climb

Umbreon lvl 75
Lonely
Faint Attack, Dark Pulse, Bite, Headbutt

Well, competitively, you need more thought put into it, to be honest. :c
A team with Tyranitar HAS to be centered around Tyranitar....
And Lugia is in Uber tier (The highest tier, only strong legends and other overpowered Pokes allowed) so your team would be forced to fight against other Uber teams. Which is bad.

If you want a very honest rating, your team wouldn't last very long in the Uber category. :c Sorry hun...

So get rid of Lugia! And Tyranitar too, unless you want a sandstorm team!

Honestly this team will get thrashed if you battle with it how it is now :o

Only HM moves that should be used in Competitive should be Surf and Waterfall.

This team wouldn't last in OU (OverUsed) never mind Ubers. :( I suggest going here;

I agree. This team will get thrashed in competitive battles.

You need to EV-train your pokemon if they're not already, and try breeding for certain moves and IVs. If you don't know what EVs or IVs are, then go to Smogon and read up on them.

I can help you out with movesets, though.

Typhlosion
-Flamethrower
-Hidden Power Grass
-Focus Blast
-Eruption

Typhlosion's movepool isn't all that great, and this is probably the best you're gonna get. HP Grass hits all of its weaknesses, and Focus Blast provides for more coverage.

Ampharos
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Ice
-Focus Blast
-Thunder Wave

Electric and Ice always get good Super-Effective coverage together. Focus Blast can hit Steel types. And Thunder Wave for spreading status.

Gyarados
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Waterfall
-Ice Fang/Stone Edge

Dragon Dance raises your stats, and Earthquake destroys its electric weakness. Ice Fang is another option, though Stone Edge is generally used.

Tyranitar
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Pursuit
-Aqua Tail

Earthquake and Stone Edge for coverage, Pursuit for priority and more STAB, and Aqua Tail for coverage.

Umbreon @Lagging Tail
-Moonlight
-Return
-Payback
-Toxic

Lagging Tail makes sure Umbreon always goes last, so Payback's power is doubled. Lagging tail +STAB means Payback gets 150 base power. Return has 120 BP at max Happiness and Toxic spreads status.

These are movesets from Smogon, and fairly standard save Umbreon. Make sure to give Smogon's many articles a read-through for more help.

...Yeah not the best but not bad.

You should have Umbreon know sucker punch. It saved me against Cynthia's Garchomp, so it will help against any speed demon. For Umbreon I highly recommend this
Sucker Punch Mean Look and Psychic. You can think of the last move. I would pick bite, but that's just me.
Also, avoid having 2 HMs on 1 poke. And look at your pokemons stats. Don't pick move sets by what you want. Go by its atk/sp atk. For example, and this is true, my Dragonite knew draco meteor dragon rush xtreme speed and thunder. it was a physical sweeper. Meteor would be strong ONE time cuz it lowers sp atk. also if that stat went down thunder would be hurt. I dumped meteor for dragon dance and thunder for thunderpunch. punch was stronger by 20 points
Easier explanation is if it's atk is much higher (20 pts or more) put physical attacks on it. Same for sp atk. If both atk stats are about equal give 2moves for higher atk stat, 1 move for lower atk stat and a defensive move.
