    Lanturn is a real horrible pokemon to use, it can't attack, it can't defend, all it can do is die.

    This team is horribly set up, a Garchomp can take most of this team down.

    Well i'm gonna try to be nice, but all you're doing his hurting his team. and would you like it if he lost? And Gardevor with soundproof is hacking. would you like it if he got flamed as well? but if it doesn't have an Ar/Action Replay, then he can't hack stats or moves. Which, needless to say, you won't have to worry about the second question. Next time, try to go here for some advice, https://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/ it would really help to go there, but you can study up on Pokemon, and create you're own nice set's, regardless of wheather there good or not. Just don't suggest it if they have abilities or moves. Also, don't be so hard on him penguin, he's new.

    I disagree with that statement. Lanturn is a great counter against the OU Starmie, it resists the standard set given (Surf, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt). Lanturn's ability is also quite useful, and because of that, he can also counter other Electric-type pokémon. It can stop faster sweepers with the use of Thunder Wave and can take on other water types. It's nice to use Lanturn in your team if you ever feel the need to turn down the usual standards.

    Basically what he said. If you feel Starmie coming, and predict very well, then switch it in to him. Nothing more need's to be said.
     
    Try Charizard, Drapion, Lucario, Slowbro, Froslass, and Rhyperior. That's a decent and somewhat more balanced team making as few changes as I can. I just picked out Pokemon from Serebii, hehehehe.

    If he's new, and didn't realize what he was talking about, he shouldn't have spoke. Or typed. Also, saying "this team looks excellent" right between people trying to help was unhelpful. Penguin wasn't too hard. Heck, I think he was too easy on him. If he was new, then he should learn more before he post.

    I've seen some very good Lanturn out there.
     
    Hey, hey, I ain't no Lanturn expert (good grammer, eh?), but they caught me offguard on occasion.
     
    Cause they appeared when I least expected it. But I'm throwing around ideas.
     
    And those are the two most popular atks, right next to Ice Beam. Rhyperior might be able to take those. Cept Ice Beam.

    I invented this set and surprisingly it works rather well.

    I know what your thinking, but Lanturns max speed after one agility with that nature and no speed EVS is 374 if im not correct, which outspeeds Adamant and Jolly Garchomp, Adamant Dugtrio and is about even with Jolly Dugtrio (without chopice scarf). It also acts as a special Tank and wall and is the one of the only pokemon that resists Bolt-Beam and can Bolt-Beam its self.

    Just remember this walls MOST special attacks with ease apart from grass.
