Macho Brace, however, will half Steelix's speed and therefore resulting in a stronger Gyro Ball.

Kingdra

- Surf / Waterfall
- Icebeam
- Rain Dance
- Dragon Pulse / Hidden Power [ELECTRIC]

Reducing Spd with nature seems like a simpler way, and Lefties would still be better IMHO, but you make a good point.

I'd say "no" to the physical Kingdra. Therefore, Surf >>> Waterfall. DD on Kingdra would be useless. The Atk bonus would only benefit the 7, that's right, 7 physical moves Kingdra learns, and the Spd bonus would be next to useless in rain.

Waterfall is decent for getting blisey, but it has a pretty decent shot at outstalling you anyways, unless you've DDed so much it can't really do anything.

As for steelix, iron ball and macho brace ar both a waste really...if steelix can't heal with lefties, it'll have a tough time. Not to mention that without rest or wish support, steelix will easily get smoked.

@Azonic:
It's just that so many other Pokemon pull it off better than Kingdra. Salamence or Garchomp, for example. Those are good mixed sweepers. And Kingdra's physical movepool is just too small, and the best moves I can see besides Waterfall are Return/Frustration and Flail. Ludicolo walls this well, I'm afraid, and so might Bronzong. But if it's for the novelty and necessity of taking down Special Walls or just Blissey in particular, it could still work.

@Anti-Pop
It only takes 3-4 Seismic Tosses to get rid of Kingdra. If Kingdra can't buff up enough to take down Blissey in 3 turns with DDs and a Waterfall, then it's done for. I can't imagine Kingdra winning a face-off with Blissey, unless Scope Lens was allowed and the Waterfall with Sniper bonus OHKO's Blissey.

quite frankly, that's why physiucal kingdra fails. But remember everything is walled by something, no matter what you give it.

Alright, i like everyone's ideas for Kingdra but i wish she had rain dish ability or whatever, then the rain dance w/ surf stuff would actually work. =(
Mine has Sniper, which is why i had DD and her holding a Scope Lens (which i just found out is not allowed in net battles or something? hahaha)
So now i'm just unsure whether or not to stay with Dragon Dance/Waterfall or not...Or find something else?
I keep running into problems with traits on the pokemon dang! (i had that problem with Steelix he has Rock Head instead of Sturdy and Kingdra has Sniper rather than Rain Dish...)

EDIT: By the way, about Steelix and his hold item, i had a Lagging Tail and put that on him instead of Iron Ball since the lagging tail actually cuts speed by a lot (by what the item description said)

Steelix wants lefties though :(

Kingdra makes great use of swift swim, if that's what you meant.

Yea, oops i meant swift swim, not rain dish or whatever lol
But yea, i wish my Kingdra had it =/
if i could ever find a shiny horsea or just one with swift swim i'd definitely re-train it hahaha
Also, would lefties really be better for Steelix?
he's already slow enough for Gyro Ball...i think

Alright, i gave him leftovers =]

I do have another question, i'm replacing Banette but i'm stuck between Umbreon and Dusknoir
i considered using Umbreon@leftovers and having it know Moonlight, and maybe some other stuff to be able to heal a lot and stay in the battle like a..healbeller or annoyer? something like that...
Or i would go with Dusknoir and do SOMETHING with him...i just don't know a lot about either of the two, does anyone have any suggestions for that slot in my team?

Umbreon is total fail sadly, but if you wish to use it, use wish [/bad pun]

Noir makes tremendous use of WoW, pain split, and shadow sneak.
