I just started getting into competitive battling so as u can tell my team can use a lot of work but any recommendations would be appreciated

    This is my team:

    Blastoise@leftovers
    trait: torrent
    nature: modest
    ev: 252 hp, 129 def, 129 sdef
    hydro pump
    ice beam
    rapid spin
    aqua ring

    Going 4 a mixed wall

    Magmortar@choice specs
    trait: Flame body
    nature: timid
    ev: 252 spa, 252 spd, 6 hp
    fire blast
    overheat
    thunderbolt
    psychic

    Sp. sweeper

    Electivire@expert belt
    trait: motor drive
    nature: hasty
    ev: 252 spd, 158 atk, 100 spa
    thunderbolt
    cross chop
    earthquake
    ice punch

    Phy. sweeper

    Rhyperior@leftovers
    trait: lightning rod
    nature: adamant
    ev: 252 hp, 129 atk, 129 def
    earthquake
    stone edge
    megahorn
    sword dance

    Tank

    Alakazam@choice spec
    trait: synchronize
    nature: timid
    ev: 252 spa, 252 spd, 6 sdef
    psychic
    shadow ball
    focus blast
    energy ball

    Sp. sweeper

    Machamp@choice scarf
    trait: no guard
    nature: adamant
    ev: 252 atk, 129 def, 129 hp
    dynamic punch
    cross chop
    ice punch
    thunder punch

    Phy. sweeper

    1) Get rid of Blastoise. If you want a Bulky Water, it's severly outclassed by Suicune, Swampert, Vaporeon, and Slowbro. As a Spinner, it's thoroughly (sp?) outclassed by Starmie, who's much faster, has an instant recovery move, and a magnificent special movepool (not to mention a pretty decent 100 base SPATK to back it up).

    2) Grass Knot works on Alakazam better; most of the targets will get hit harder by it (Suicune, Milotic, and Spiritomb all get hit by a 100 BP attack) than Energy Ball.

    3) lol psychic Magmortar. Use something else for a special sweeper; Azelf and Heatran are both excellent choices.

    4) Rhyperior's too slow to really SD effectively.

    Blastoise@leftovers
    trait: torrent
    nature: Bold
    252 HP/ 252 Def/ 6 Sp.Atk
    - Surf
    - Toxic/ Yawn
    - Ice Beam
    - Rapid Spin/ Yawn

Blastiose isn't really going to wall anything, even if you just pump one side of it's defenses. So, might as well use it as an "utility".
Thats pretty much the standard set for it. But I might suggest using something over this. Possibly Snorlax or Vaporeon.
I also hope this isn't your lead...

    Magmortar@choice specs
    trait: Flame body
    nature: Modest
    ev: 252 spa, 252 spd, 6 hp
    fire blast /overheat
    thunderbolt
    Focus Blast
    Hidden Power [Ice]

You don't need both, Fire Blast and Overheat. So choose one. I personally, would choose Overheat because most choice users have to switch out anyways.
Use Focus Blast over Psychic because Psychic doesn't really increase it's coverage more then Focus Blast would. To fill your last slot, use HP Ice.
Modest over Timid to add more power to your Overheat.

    Electivire@expert belt
    trait: motor drive
    nature: hasty
    ev: 252 spd, 158 atk, 100 spa
    thunderbolt
    cross chop
    earthquake
    ice punch

Everything walls Electivire, but thats pretty much Electivire's most usable set.
I'm pretty sure everyone who rates this team is going to say the same thing about Electivire so, I'll leave the in depth explaining to them.

    Rhyperior@ Choice Band
    trait: Solid Rock
    nature: adamant
    6 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
    earthquake
    stone edge
    megahorn
    Avalanche

Rhyperior is pretty slow, which makes it even harder to use it's Sword Dance set.
So I suggest using the Choice Band set. or use a Rock Polish set that almost swept me D:
I like to use Avalanche instead of Ice Fang because it does more damage to attacking Pokemon, but Ice Fang does more to incoming Pokemon. Your choice.
Lightningrod is a useless ability in single battles.

If you want to use a defensive set:-

    Rhyperior @ Leftovers
    Solid Rock
    Impish
    252 HP/ 6 Atk/ 252 Def
    - Earthquake
    - Stone Edge
    - Megahorn/ Avalanche
    - Stealth Rock/ Roar
    Alakazam@choice spec
    trait: synchronize
    nature: timid
    ev: 252 spa, 252 spd, 6 sdef
    psychic
    focus blast
    Grass Knot

Pretty good, but I would use Grass Knot over Energy Ball.

    Machamp @ choice scarf
    trait: Guts
    nature: Jolly
    ev: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe
    Close Combat
    Pay back
    ice punch
    thunder punch

With your EV spread it won't be going first as much as you would think.
Use Guts so you could switch Machamp in on a Will-o-Wisp, make sure it's not a Thunder Wave though, pretty much makes Choice Scarf useless.

Since you really don't have a lead and ScarfChamp is kinda... eh.
    Why not use Anti-Lead Machamp.

    Machamp @ Lum Berry
    No guard
    Adamant
    252 HP / 160 Atk / 96 SpD
    - Substitute
    - Dynamicpunch
    - Stone Edge / ThunderPunch
    - Payback / Ice Punch

    - - - - -
    - - - - -
    - - - - -

Salamence, Infernape, Tyranitar, and Gyarados might/will give you some problems.

You could make Machamp bulkier to take on Tyranitar, but Haryiama will do that better.
Vaporeon can go against Infernape and Gyarados (and Salamence?) but a NP Grass Knot actually does hurt it.

    Just at a glance:
    - Gyara eats this team after 1 DD.
    - The excess of choice item seems to also be a problem.
    - You need a pokemon to set up Stealth Rock.
    - Your walls and tanks need defensive natures.
    - You should also consider what each of your moves are covering. Sure they're good moves, but they can be dead weight on a certain pokemon.
-You may want to also consider some pokemon that can take hits(Usually a pokemon with a recovery move and that is holding leftovers.)

My advice is more conceptual since Kanye covered the sets, but there are pokemon that can fit the description of what you need better, the issue is whether you're willing to change them or not.

Oh, and on an unrelated note: It'd look a lot nicer with pictures =P

    This is my team:

    Blastoise@leftovers
    trait: torrent
    nature: modest
    ev: 252 hp, 129 def, 129 sdef
    hydro pump
    ice beam
    rapid spin
    aqua ring

    Going 4 a mixed wall

might wanna switch blastoise for another bulky water, like first poster said, suicune, swampert, vaporeon, or slobro/slowking.

    Magmortar@choice specs
    trait: Flame body
    nature: timid
    ev: 252 spa, 252 spd, 6 hp
    fire blast
    overheat
    thunderbolt
    psychic

    Sp. sweeper

meh, might wanna get rid of fire blast for flamethrower and overheat for a filler.

    Electivire@expert belt
    trait: motor drive
    nature: hasty
    ev: 252 spd, 158 atk, 100 spa
    thunderbolt
    cross chop
    earthquake
    ice punch

    Phy. sweeper

meh, looks good, try 200 Atk / 58 Sp. Atk / 252 Spd

    Rhyperior@leftovers
    trait: lightning rod
    nature: adamant
    ev: 252 hp, 129 atk, 129 def
    earthquake
    stone edge
    megahorn
    sword dance

    Tank

looks like a physical sweeper to me. if you want a tank. try 252 Hp / 224 Def / 36 Atk. don't know much about a tank rhyp, but I know you should take out megahorn and swords dance.

    Alakazam@choice spec
    trait: synchronize
    nature: timid
    ev: 252 spa, 252 spd, 6 sdef
    psychic
    shadow ball
    focus blast
    energy ball

    Sp. sweeper

2 choice specs on a team don't look good. switch it for expert belt maybe. put those sp. def evs into hp and you're good.

    Machamp@choice scarf
    trait: no guard
    nature: adamant
    ev: 252 atk, 129 def, 129 hp
    dynamic punch
    cross chop
    ice punch
    thunder punch

    Phy. sweeper

    try 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 6 Hp and it'll look fine.

other than that, I can say swampert weak.half your team gets ko'd by swampy. btw, the evs might not be exactly good, but I'm just doing it from my head and from what I think it's good for it.
