Well then that someone cheated because the fact remains that Typhlosion can't learn Crunch. No, not even as an egg move. Really, why is this simple truth so hard to grasp? <.<

And that Clefairy moveset...no, just no. Clefairy isn't a sweeper, never has been and never will. Evolve it into Clefable and give it a proper moveset. Something like;

Ice Beam
Thunderbolt/Seismic Toss
Counter/Thunder Wave
Moonlight (Curse G/S/C's lack of Softboiled Clefairy <<)

Bait physical attackers with Counter and use Moonlight to recover from the damage. Ice Beam and Thunderbolt should also be able to deal decent damage to most opponents. Thunder Wave is also an option over Counter as paralyzing the opponent will grant you a major advantage in battle. You could also try Seismic Toss over Thunderbolt for some mini-Blissey power. ^^ Since it's crystal, there will be a tutor for Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, and Flamethrower visiting the Goldenrod Game Corner regularly. I can't remember the exact times but they should be easy to find out.

well i cant find a moon stone and clefairy is a sweeper because its strong.

No it's not, Clefairy is hopelessly average in its attack power and its Speed is abbysmal. Seriously, have you looked at the statline? 60 base Sp.Attack doesn't do crap against a real foe, and a base Speed of 35 is way too slow for sweeping. Get your facts straight, please. As for a Moon Stone...ever thought of checking Mt.Moon? Once a week (I think it's Saturday or Sunday evening) there will be a gathering of Clefairies on the peak of Mt.Moon, go there and they'll drop a moon stone for you.

OMG. This is in-game. Boltbeam Clefable is fine, but I really don't know anyone who uses Counter or Seismic Toss in-game. This isn't NetBattle.

you people all suck when you say that.my clefairy never fainted or lost a battle once.its too strong.

Actually, I use Counter ingame, and with the clueless all-out sets that these games a riddled with it works fine, thank you very much. <.< And at any rate, sticking four attack moves on Clefairy is just plain ridiculous, at the very least use Moonlight to grant it a fighting chance, maybe with Thunder Wave or Sing to incapacitate. Psychic serves no purpose anyway. xP

Wow, that's sooo grown of you. -.- Really, if you can't stand hearing the truth about your sets then don't post them. GB Strategies and Movesets is for people who are actually looking to improve.

my clefairy is way better than any one youve seen!*****************

You would have to keep healing your Pokemon if Counter did a lot of damage. You know what I mean.

Point taken, but that doesn't change the fact that Psychic isn't really doing much for ol' Clefable as it would most likely KO fighting types just as fast with Thunderbolt or Ice Beam. Just because it's ingame it doesn't automatically mean that you have to stick every possible damaging move on it, you know. -.-

it used to no dizzy punch, should i get it back?

I only used no-damaging moves like Calm Mind and Sleep Powder in-game. Truthfully, in-game, Counter I think is only a Filler if you can't think of something else.

Absolutely not. Clefable's attack is even weaker than its Sp.Attack.

I'd suggest Calm Mind if this wasn't a 2nd generation game or Calm Mind wasn't a 3rd generation move. Show me a way to get CM into Crystal and I'll suggest it in the future, promise. =P

Really, can we stop arguing about this now? You might think that it makes you look oh-so smart, but I've seen your builds and you really aren't all that good.

well ill tern on my game and work on them.

*reaches*

THATS MEAN

And that's a double post. I was simply trying to point the ridiculous path this whole argument was taking, hence why I suggested that it should be stopped. And anyway, using Moveset rating standards there wasn't really any meaneness there to speak of.

Obviously you think in-game is similar to NetBattle. :\

You are missing the point. Just using sweep teams in-game is horribly boring and lame. I am pretty sure we have all been down that road before. The only way to make this horrible AI any better is to, first, not cheat, and then use lower level Pokes with proper movesets. That is more of a challenge and you might even learn something new.

Saying that your Poke that is over Level 50 can beat anything in-game isn't very impressive. Shinies are not impressive either, imo. So you were lucky enough to come across a Poke in the wild that is a different color, or you cheated to get one. Big deal. If shinies had better stats or could learn different moves it would at least make them somewhat interesting.

That can be considered flamebait. You're lucky the people you're talking to are much more mature than you, or else we'd have a lot of flame wars going on right now. Anymore comments like that, and you'll get a warning.

Umm, hello? Has it ever occurred to you that all you battle are computer players who can't think at all? Try battling a real person, and not just some little kid, but real people who have real skill. Then you'll see what battling is all about.

Shane is right. Now more than ever, people need to realize how to have actually strategy in their teams instead of all out sweeping. With D/P having Wifi that lets you battle people from afar, it'll be the skilled players who will come out on top while the all-out sweepers will lose horribly.
