rate what I have

The standard competetive play bans the use of moves like Sheer Cold. And they probably wouldn't hit you anyways - So Sturdy doesn't have any use. Keen Eye doesn't do much either but its more reliable than Sturdy.

Well, for the record, I did say if it's In-Game, then use Sturdy.

I agree, but since you won't be seeing either moves, it doesn't really matter. I mean, if you have great IV's on this one, then stick with this one.

wtf?

KEEN EYE. Accuracy reduction is more common in-game. And probably no one in-game uses 1HKO moves. Sturdy is useless either way.

The Battle Tower has a few OHKOers (stupid Crawdaunt Guillotine hitting all 3 grumble mumble), but otherwise you shouldn't need Sturdy in-game. Or for these forums, either.

Well, OHKOers aren't very common. And plus, even if it is used it will most likely miss.

Keen Eye > Sturdy

Not in the BF, they're annoying. Which is the whole reason why I suggested Sturdy.

Which begs the question, is this 3rd or 4th gen? If 4th, will this be Wifi or Battle Tower?
(that is, if BF is what I think it is.)

Well, it's 4th Gen probably. and yes, its what you think it is. :P Also, the Battle Park is almost an exact copy of the BF.

Diamond/Pearl, and this is to be played on Battle Revolution. . like I said earlier in this thread

I can't believe you spent all this time arguiong over skarm's ability :/ Keen eye is USELESS, period. Sand attack = lol, since there's this thing I call "switching," which is why nobody uses those moves anyways. Sturdy at least comes in handy so nubers and n00bs can't sheer cold hax you to death. Or when you see articuno mind reader + sheer colding you.

But it doesn't even matter O_O

Yea, we kind of figured that out already O.o;

Here's what I've got so far, my very first team ever, and it probably shows. I have no idea what items I should be using

Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Impish
Super Luck
252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 Attack
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Drill Peck / Brave Bird

Fixes to Skarmory are all neatly packed within a quote. With this moveset, Spikes will take on the most damage with Whirlwind and can shuffle the opponents Pokemon around. Brave Bird is the best move to use if you want to inflict the most damage. Along with Roost, its a very handy idea.

Um, lefties over shed shell. If you fear magneton, then you're going to have to scout for it. Without self recovery, Skarm loses considerable power. If you have to, run dugtrio to trap and destroy it. Really, I've used skarm for years and have been trapped about 5 times total, meaning it isn't too hard to avoid it.

Andtake some Def EVs off, it really doesn't need that many...I usually ruin about 40 Atk EVs on skarm. As long as it has at least 196 Def EVs, you're good to go. Oh, and Max HP, or really dang close.
