4th Gen Rattata...

I-Im terribly afraid of the rattata family. Their fangs are like death in a package. Yes rattata is fairly good in HG/SS, but I rather not have it on my team....

I don't know about HG/SS, but I found my Rattata/Raticate useful in my Normal Monotype Challenge in FR. Pretty underrated I think.

Rattata are filler pokemon, really. They aren't for great stats or moves and I think it was just coincidence that it had a pretty ok moveset, but it was meant to train your weakling pokemon at the beginning of the game. The only good rattata is a F.E.A.R. one.

Its good low leveled (preferably lvl1) with focus sash - Endeavour - Quick Attack. But after that that, I'd rather use a Starly. Yes a Starly! That is how bad it is.

I'm A Normal Pokemon User ( Mostly Monotype challenge player - Normal ) And I Nearly always pick rattata. Sucker Punch, Super Fang , Facade , And This move changes ( Shadow Ball etc... ) Equipped with a flame orb it rules.

he's good in battle frontier with hyper fang aswell,
i found him veru useful in emerald but haven't tried him out in SS

Personally i prefer Sentret i think Rattata can be pretty good but there's better pokemon out there.

That, and Rattata's annoy me to no end! WHERE ARE THE OTHER WILD POKEMON?!?!
