Re-release older Pokemon games...

    I'm tired of the risk of batteries dying...anyone else?
     
    well...actualy....the older gameboys light gets REALLY dim when the batterys are low so its just as much of a risk as when a ds dies...the light turns orange...the red led in ur gameboy gets dim.....get an emultor or dont complain about original hardware because i think its awesome =D or pick up an sp keep it plugged in 24/7 and get fire red or leaf green

    I'm talking about the batteries in the game cart, genius.
     
    ok so a battery dies, you change it, and hve fun playing the game again, if u have to push urself to play the same game again then u dont truly like it, who cares if u got tht level 100 charizard and lapras, do it again, switch it up use differnt pokes even

    if you dont like it just get an emulator those usually dont mess up

    Wow I can't believe there is not one positive comment in this entire thread.

    Alright first off. I did not buy Fire Red or Leaf Green because they are NOT the same as the original Red and Blue. They are remakes and not identicle to the original games.

    Second. Nintendo can EASILY (and I mean easily) just give a port of Red/blue in a flash drive along with a next gen pokemon game. Since GB cartridges had very compressed data it would be very easy to put it on the flash drive along with a lot of other stuff.

    Third. People who don't live in cities find it hard to get rarer games. Especially Blue and Red, or even Fire Red or leaf green due to the massive demand for those games (Craigslist where I live always has them getting sold before I reach the page). If Nintendo re-released them it would bring a lot of new fans into the age of retro gaming.

    Fourth. Obviously he is talking about the internal battery. Please, if you don't know what he is talking about don't post about it. He obviously doesn't care about the data itself, he never even said anything along those lines. He just wants Nintendo to re release the games so you can save. The INTERNAL BATTERY is the battery inside the cartridge that cannot be replaced by conventional means. The battery will inevitably die out and you will be unable to save your game ever. Meaning if you try and save your game once you reset the gameboy the save game will erase itself. So you can't even get that 100 charizard because you can't save your game. The GB cartridge needs a special bit to open that is very rare to find, even if you could open it. There is a great risk at actually destroying the cartridge accidentally.

    Many gamers (I know a lot of them, me included) do not enjoy to use Emulators because they generally prefer to play Pokemon with their friends and trade/battle each other. I prefer to play Pokemon where it was originally intended to be used. On the GB and the GBA.

    When companies re-release games it is always a good thing. It allows newer gamers a chance to understand what a retro game feels like. It also allows older gamers to feel nostalgic and happy that the company is willing to go back to it's roots.

    I got fed up, so I used a emulator, its fun because if you know if your going to mess up, restart the emulator right before the place you messed up as
