Here is the OOC discussion thread for my Pokemon RPG 'Ready, Steady Go!'. For future references please try to keep all OOC discussion here to avoid cluttering up the role-play. Feel free to use this space to suggest subplots, ideas etc or even simply general discussion.
As the island on which Battle Academy is situated is a fictional place invented by myself, I will be posting little diagrams and maps that may help your understanding of it's geography (Nothing pro, mind you ^^;;). I shall also post the current location, plot and several of the classes mentioned as well as some character profiles. Check back here often as a resource to keep yourself updated! :D
.:Current Location:.
The school's assembly hall. The new trainers have just arrived and are being aquainted with the gijinka. Roughly 9-9.30 PM.
.:Maps:.
Starting with an outline of the island's facilities and rough outlines of the gijinka's habitat (this is a set location, you may make up your own home)
To the top right is a sky view of an idea of the trainer's dormitories, three to a room.
Middle left is a sky view of the first floor of the Academy
Bottom left is a sky view of the second floor and bottom left is a sky view of the third.
.:School Subjects (These will become more important later on, just look out for a rough idea of what your character would be interested in studying):.
--Basic Classes:.
((Okay, I know the names are hardly creative but hopefully the classes will be more so! ^^;;))
Battle Course: An essential class for every Pokemon master in training! Battle course teaches you the basics of battling, practice matches, type lineups and so on.
Specials: This class is designed to train your Pokemon's special attacks and defense rather than physical. What to do when you don't know what's coming, how to fight super effective attacks.
Breeding: For all you Pokemon breeders out there this class covers Egg groups, breeding baby Pokemon and the Pokemon themselves. This includes their natures, personalities and even favourite poffin flavour.
Trainer Economics: Or Trainer 101. This includes which medicines to use, how to make poffins Pokemon will enjoy and how to work key items.
Extreme Battling: This is Battle Course to the Extreme. This class covers tougher opponents, extreme conditions (underwater, on air) and even surprise attacks.
Co ordinating: A class that will teach you all you need to know to become a co ordinator! This includes which Pokemon are best suited to each category, which combinations work best for appealing, what accessories are the most suitable for your category and so on.
Pokemon History: A compulsonary history class that goes through Pokemon through the ages. Most students despise it.
--Extra-curricular:.
Pokelethon: A number of activities that you and your Pokemon work hard at to become the best.
Cheerleading: This is pretty self-explanitory; cheering during battles
Racing: This is pretty much the same as track; you and your Pokemon race to be the fastest.
.:The Student Dormitories:.
These are split into two categories; girls and boys. It's the same building but spilt into two sections. Your roomates are as follows:
Room 202:. Julian Gallagher, Tyler Smith, Ted Quidel
Room 204:. Seth Zyrax, Cyan Reegn, Kyo Wren
Room: 220:. Rowan Roland, Sophii De Alesquo, Evelyn Egalite
I know Evelyn is biologically male. Think of this as an oversight on the school's part. I thought it may add a little twist ;)
There are, of course, other students but I shall leave them up to your imagination!
