3rd Gen Really quick Question: Mirage Tower?

Everyone knows about the cracks in the Mirage Tower. My friends has trouble doing it because he plays on an ipod. So here's the question. Is the mirage tower mandatory to progress through the game and will this affect the desert underpass? ( my friends needs a ditto for breeding)

I dont think IT's mandatory..I know its mandatory in crystal But I dont think its mandatory in RSE

The mirage tower need NOT to be done to progress the game. It's mainly for completing the DEX. It only affects the fossil you'll receive in desert underpass .You CAN'T get into desert underpass unless you select one fossil in the Mirage tower.
I think there would be the speed change option in the emulator to slow the game down.Slowing the game would help in passing those cracks. Otherwise you can trade a ditto or use a cheat. If above methods don't work you can send me the .sav file and I could do it for u (I got a lot of free time).

What? Mirage tower puzzle is pretty... hard if you're playing it on the phone. Yeah, that's a real bummer. I think Desert Underpass doesn't show up until you finish the mirage tower.
