Reason for the Sparkle?

What does it mean when a Pokemon in Ranch sparkles? At first, I thought it meant that it came from XD, because the Pokemon I had that sparkled came from there, but then I saw a Buneary sparkle, and so now I don't know... Any one know the reason?

Having a Pokemon obtained from a fateful encounter is supposedly one of the reasons why they sparkle. Since all Pokemon purified from XD are considered fateful encounters, that is what makes your Pokemon sparkle.

Other possible reasons can be:

- Having a Pokemon at Level 100.
- Having a fully EV-trained Pokemon.
- Having a Pokemon with max IVs in at least one stat.
- Max Happiness
- Having a Pokemon with a ribbon.

That happens to me too. But my others glow gold sparkles, and my Latios glows blue sparkle
