[Other] Recoloring existing tiles?

I've searched through a lot of threads concerning A-map and inserting tiles and stuff, but I couldn't find a method to just recolor existing tiles.
For example, if I would like to have green roofs in Pallet Town in stead of red ones, how does one make that happen?
