    Intro
    Long ago, when the pyramids were still young...oh wait sorry, wrong story, haha. Please forgive my terribad reference, and welcome to the Team Endless Disaster thread, the team for Pokémon Ataxia! I decided to make this hack, the first one I've created, because not only do I want a hack that appeals to players like me, who love a challenge and standard competitive play, but also to those who enjoy exceptional graphics and a dark storyline with countless twists and turns, with surprises around every corner. However, I can't take on this challenge alone. This is where you come in. If you would like to see this hack completed and can help improve the hack's quality, we would be glad to have you on the team. All we ask is that you are consistent, friendly, and most importantly, dedicated. As long as you help at least 2 or 3 days each week, that's definitely good enough. We have a life though, so we do understand that there may be a time every now and then where you will be away for a little longer than average. But as a team, we can work things out and focus on making the most of our time and creating the best hack possible!

    Hack Details
    Name: Pokémon Ataxia
    ROM base: Pokémon Emerald
    Language: English and eventually Spanish & Portuguese (maybe with other translations later depending on demand and availability of translators)
    Progress: 1% (some sprites finished and a lot of ideas)

    Story Background
    The brand new region where the events of Pokémon Amaranthine take place is an insanely harsh environment, where volcanoes clash with the seas and scorching deserts meet frozen wastelands. This creates great diversity among the Pokémon that dwell in the region and strange type combinations. It has also led to several groups of people who attempt to weather the extreme conditions and adapt to 1 of the environments and utilize it, becoming "masters" of their environment. However, most people choose to reside in the safest area of the region, its calm center. Not all is well in the region though, as dark forces begin to rise, and tensions stir between the environmental master alliances across the landscape. Many sinister trials await our hero, with the stakes far too high, the consequences far too devastating, for failure to be an option.

    "The Weather Wizards" (Current Members)

    Jonkane - art/concept art, sprite inserter, possible mapper *involvement still uncertain*

    *Jobs Needed*
    Tileset Creator and Inserter (1) - This is very, very important, since the hack revolves around the environment, so amazing-looking tiles for each type of environment are needed.
    Scripters (1-2) - There will be a lot of scripting involved, of course. At least 1 really advanced scripter would be great.
    Spriter (2?) - Everything from trainer and item sprites to Fakemon sprites and their smaller overworld sprites while in the PC
    Cry editor (1) - To give cries to the new Pokémon
    Pokedex expander (1) - The Pokedex will need to be preferably 650-800+ slots
    Intro, Title, and/or Credits Editor (?) - If anyone can do any of these that would be great, but they aren't a top priority yet

    Err, this is weird.. I haven't posted anything on Pokécommunity in months... but anyways,
    HEYO!

    I'm heyo! TheHaymaker and I had been working on another project for a while I started called Pokemon Kunzite (which you may or may not have seen before), until I recently disbanded it. Thus, Haymaker had introduced me to a project he planned on starting, which at the time, didn't have a name. Since then, we have been planning different ideas and began working on small but important parts of it. Thus, Pokemon Amaranthine and the Team Endless Disaster thread were born.

    I am super excited to be working on this, after starting my own project and not being able to keep my own deadlines, it'll be nice to have specific tasks to work on instead of piecing together the entire thing alone. I'll be working as a bunch of things which include music composer, mapper, spriter, concept/idea writer, and maybe a scripter if I get some time.

    If anyone wants to see some proof of my work, I'll post it in a spoiler below. Thanks for reading this, and I hope a lot of people end up joining us; it'll be a lot of fun!

    In case anyone is curious, yes, both heyo and I are working on this hack as much as possible when we get time. A few sprites have already been worked on and have rough drafts, and either heyo or I will share those as they are completed as well.

    EDIT: I'm just going to make a separate post for the Pokédex as soon as I finish it.

    I would be interested in helping. I can't really help with the mechanics of hacking, but would be more useful for ideas and plot. Not sure if you're looking for something like that, but just let me know. Thanks!

    This story line is somewhat similar to my hack, I like it! I wish you luck on this hack. The name amaranthine is used in many fan games, so beware.

    We've just begun developing the more intricate details of the story line and plot, but it should be fun, dark, and suspenseful, haha. And actually, yes, the basic concepts of the two stories are strikingly similar, yet opposite because of the theme of chaos and disorder, but I like yours as well. :P Good luck with your hack too. :)

    As for the usage of "amaranthine", could you please show me some examples if you would? I've yet to see it be used, to be honest. It was not the original name for this hack anyway, but I find it fitting.

    Hello! Since nobody posted in about a week, I'm uncertain if your still recruiting or not, but if you still are, i'm VERY interested.

    Skill(s): Script writing, Fakemon Designs (No, I do not know how to sprite nor do I know how to put the dialog in the game)

    Proof of WORK (if any): I dont have direct proof, but I wright scripts for school plays. I can make it however you want. Funny, Epic, Depressing, anything.

    Accepted, but some work would be nice, you can work on some ideas once the Pokedex is posted soon as well. And yes, we're still recruiting new members, especially in need of a tile designer/creator at the moment. If you're interested, you're very welcome to help!
