Recruiting problems Mystery Dungeon Red

I am having problems with recruiting legendaries

I went through Kyogre's dungeon 5 times and it never asked me to recruit

I went through Moltres's dungeon like 10 times and it never asked me either.


What is going on? Why aren't they recruiting?

I have a friend bow, and my leader is Zapdos alone

Dont use zapdos. The reason is because zapdos is a size 4. You cant recruit size 4 pokemon with another size 4 on your team. Kyogre is also a size 4. And you cant have more then total 6 sizes. Zapdos takes up 4 spaces. So does moltres and kyogre. So go as a smaller pokemon like your main leader. What Im saying is that you cant have more then 6 spaces taken up.
So play as someone who is 1 space. so you can total 6 spaces taken up.

My starter pokemon was Mudkip which is now a Swampert...Can i use it?

Also, my partner was Pikachu, its also a size 1 right?

there both size 1. good luck with your recruiting them. so just use swampert and pikachu if you wish. And dont forget the friend bow because that will help alot as you know.

Yeah, use Pikachu and maybe.. erm, Mudkip, Charmander, You know, any of the starters or their second state, not third. That wont fit.
