Assuming we encounter him at Mt. Silver again, do you guys think he'll be redesigned again to match the redesigns of the other main characters or retain his design from FRLG and SSBB?

I wouldn't be surprised if they tweaked his design a little. After all, Gold, Silver, and Professor Elm received some changes. I would be fine with them either keeping his design as is or making some minor changes, but I certainly hope they don't remake him completely, as that would kill a major part of the nostalgia factor.

    I'm 100% Sure they'll use the FR/LG Red.

HG/SS is the sequel to FR/LG like G/S/C was the sequel to R/G/B/Y

I doubt they'd use Red's older design for this very reason.

That makes a lot of sense.....I agree with that....
    P.S. :D DUNSPARCE!

if anything they'll probably make him look a little older, seeing as in G/S/C Red was more mature and experienced as obviously he was in R/B/Y

Sure, the other characters have received redesigns, but Red already received his back in FR/LG. In G/S/C, they used Red's original sprite from R/B/Y, so they will use the newer look for the remake. It's original to original and remake to remake, respectively.

And I really hope they make Red's Pikachu level 90 something and his team 80+, Barry really didn't deserve to take the title of "strongest in-game trainer". Barry is a 10/11 year old that just started his journey. Red is a legendary trainer. Big difference. and plus, it would make it a bigger challenge.

I suppose they will. It might not be a big change, but sure they might change him up/update him a bit? Make him look a bit more like a pokemon trainer, not just a little kid with a huge baseball cap :P

well, seeing as how his name is RED, wouldnt his sprite look like the ones from gen 1 but remade to look a lil better???

tho i have to agree that i have a strong feeling he is going to look like FR/LG's main male protagonist...what a bore...

I think I they would use his FRLG design since that is the most up to date one they have of him. I don't see too much change in his design except it will be cleaner because of the DS graphics.

The only thing I am worry about concerning Red is that they will shadow out his face like they did for GS or would they make it where his face is seeable. That what made him cool when you battle him back in GS. It made him intimidating if you ask me. Going though a long cave and in the end find a mysterious character who just puts you though one of the toughest battles in the franchise. The shadowed up face just made him look tougher.

    I agree!

Anyways, I just want him to have the first in-game character to have a level 100 Pokemon.

What I mean is this. After you beat him ten times, you fight a new team of his.

    Pikachu Lv. 100
    Charizard Lv. 96
    Sceptile Lv. 96
    Swampert Lv. 96
    Lickylicky Lv. 92
    Glaceon Lv. 94

Now THAT will be the team of nightmares!

I hope they let us re-battle Red after we battled him once. The feeling of battling him is awesome. In the storyline, he is considered as The Legendary League Champion for 3 years prior to the events of G/S/C.

I agree with that. Red is the Champion of Kanto (who has for some reason taken to a reclusive life at the bottom of a cave, attacking people without provocation), who's to say he hasn't done a bit of traveling/training abroad? I would find it perfectly
logical for his team to have Pokemon from Hoenn/Sinnoh/Johto.

Either that, or a team of super-leveled cave Pokemon from his self-imposed exile at the bottom of Mt. Silver's caverns. :D

Wasn't his title in g/s/c PkMnTrainer? They should make it PkMnMaster

Maybe they'll make him look a little older somehow. Since its suppose to be 3 years later.

Red should have no Hoenn or Sinnoh Pokemon, some things you should leave as is. The whole nostalgia of Red I want to relive, and so do many others I'm sure. That means he should have no Zigzagoons or Tailows or any of that cute crap.

I wasn't thinking of Tailows and Zigzagoons, I was thinking of Blazikens and Torterras. ;)

NOOOO NEVER. It must be Charizards, Venusaurs, and Blastoises. Plus the epicness of his Snorlax can NOT be replaced. Plus he is a man from KANTO, not some 4th gen dude that immigrated off the life raft 2 days ago.

Just because he is a man from KANTO doesn't mean the man couldn't have traveled abroad at any point in time.

But, I wouldn't mind perhaps two battles with Red. The first battle would be with his classic team, and later perhaps with a more national team.
