I was in a battle earlier today. and right befor the battle began the person I was playing with asked me if "I minded if they used a hacked pockemon?" I said they could and the battle began. It was complete obliteration my team was destroying his team. I still had 6 he only had 1 left. finally his hacked pokemon comes out. It's an arceus with no battle plates. I was very confident I could beat a areceus especially with my whole team remaining I was wrong. His arceus beat my entire team. Afterwords he told me it's the perfect pokemon. He hacked it so it had perfect IV's in every catagory. Then broke the 510 limit for EV's by giving all his stats the perfect 252. Lastly He changed it's abilty from multitype to Wonderguard. He was untouchable. It was rediculous. Has anyone else ever been in a battle like this?

and thats why you dont allow hacks, haha

What a jerk. It's one thing if a Poke is hacked withing plausible ranges, but to make such a blatantly hacked pokemon- and then brag about it- that's really pathetic. I think it's time to test Sims' Noob-Killer team.

I have to admit it did suck. But it did kick the crap out of me. I want to play him again. Im trying to think of a team that would be able to beat it.

or do not allow him to use hacked pokemon.

    1. You don't need to make a thread about this
    2. It's your fault you said the person can used hacks
    3. Fighting is super effective against Normal, plus you could use Burn or Poison. Arceus WAS touchable.
    4. You spelled ridiculous wrong

Im not supporting hacking or anything, but seriously...you didn't need to make a thread about someone pwning you with hacked Pokemon, and why would you even WANT to rechallenge the guy, when you already know that he has this over powered Arceus?

good luck buddy. But remember, he depends on it. use something that makes it unable to attack

    1. I dont need to do anything I choose to make this post. Just as you choose to read it and respond to it.
    2. I relize I alowe him to use it. I don't mind people using hacks as long as they ask permission first.
    3. His HP was so high that stat effects would have been useless. I did hit him with many fighting attacks from a Machamp it wasnt enough. I'll change the word too Unbeatable if it will make you feel better.
    4. I realize my spelling is horrible. I never claimed it to be good.
    5. The reason I want to rechallenge him is because beating that Arceus is now a goal of mine.

Myoko, don't be that rude, please. And the first comment sounded like mini-modding in my opinion. I think this thread is okay. It makes more sense than other threads that I left open, anyway.

While Arceus can be attacked, it has an advantage for all those IVs and EVs, and its hacked ability. And, yes, it's okay to discuss this kind of stories. There's nothing wrong with it because "I lost because I let an opponent use hacks" (no point) is different than "Do you have stories where you have battled ridiculous hacks? I had this one...."

Anyway, since this doesn't exactly have to do with Diamond and Pearl, I'll let Blueberry move it if he thinks it's appropiated for S&M.

    yep lol......................................

Remember to include four words and 25 characters in each post. Bypassing the limit is against the rules. Don't do it again, please.

Time to play ping-pong with the thread...
Anyway, you should use Toxic on the Arceus...it slowly creates more and more damage. On top of that, use Curse, that should take it down. Unless wonderguard denies that too?

It seems to me that your fighting style was reminescent(sp) of Misty's. All-out offensive. Status afflictions seem to be key to winning. Try the toxic status as said above, but take it a step further:
In Pokemon Stadium 2 at the battle with Team Rocket at the gym tower, or whatever it was called, one of them used Toxic in combination with Mean Look, Protect, and/or Detect. Try that. If it fails, I'll take the rap.

tetsu is on to something, i think.
also, that move that switches yours and your opponents held items(cant recall the name), can that change its type mid-battle? if so, can i suggest giving it a mind/dread plate, then get in with STAB fury cutter?

Well if it's his last pokemon, seems like the perfect time for some Perish Song... that way as long as you can last 3 turns you win... cheap admittedly but so is a hacked pokemon

If I can make a few corrections here...

First, I was unaware that Misty actually did anything in the series.

Second, status afflictions alone aren't the key to winning- they're a single facet of a much bigger strategy. If there's a key to victory, it's in balance. Striking a balance between offense and defense on a team, between damage and support, and actually knowing when to use what you have, that's the real key to victory. It really all depends on the player's skill- and how well the player can predict an opponent's next move.

Try the toxic status as said above, but take it a step further:

That seems a bit gimmicky. Having a Pokemon fill such a specific role, as opposed to filling a more general role (Sweeper, Wall, even Wish Passer) often hurts the team as a whole.

In addition, Stadium 2 was two generations ago, and the metagame has changed a lot since then. Nowadays, a Pokemon that did that would likely be KOed before Toxic sapped half of the assailant's life.

whoops, ignore my last post, i forgot about its lack of adaptability...
try seismic toss from a lvl 100 wall, a few of those should do it.
alternatively, though i dont know if this is possible...
another wall, but with pressure ability, spite and disable, stall him for as long as possible, then bring in machamp

If he thinks its ok to use hacks, use hacks back. Enter the wondertomb :P
