Regarding the new voice casts....

I'm really concerned about the new voice cast thingy.. is it confirmed that our loved voice actors (Veronica Taylor, Rachel Lillis, Eric Stuart...) are gonna lose their jobs? I certainly hoped not..

Anyone knows what's gonna happen next? I'm really concerned about this issue.

Yes, its confirmed, Maddie (Meowth's 4Kids VA) said so...and Season 9 is already being dubbed by PUSA (with the new voices)... Its sad.
But Ash's voice is different from the special at least, and Brock's voice actor said that he's been working at it, and his Brock voice is better now as well.
Same with May's.

They DON'T however, have rights to season 10...so who knows? Maybe 4Kids will it get it back when that season starts?

Due to the change, when the new season starts in September, Pokemon will air on Cartoon Network instead of KidsWB...

Also, 'Lucario and the Mystery of Mew' is the last Pokemon movie at this point, that 4Kids will be dubbing, as well.

Awww.. I don't dislike the new voice actors, but I'd really miss the old voices.. especially after hearing them for years. Yeah.. there's still hope for season 10..

Hope the new voices will do a great job.. I'm worried cos' I heard some negative feedback about them, although I haven't heard them myself..

At this point, I won't even bother watching the dub with the new voices. Totally, I will stick with Pocket Monsters subs instead hearing the ear piercing new voices...

I agree with Haruka, though I haven't heard the new voices past the special, but I doubt they'd change as much as I would hope for Oxo;;

I'll still watch it, at least to give it a chance.
Because I hard they inproved since the special.

And if I still think they're horrible after a few episodes, I'll just watch as much of the Japanese as I can.... but knowing me, I'll stick with the dub.

Sweeties, I'm so sticking with sub...but with my slow connection, I have no choice but than watch the dubs. They better have improved with the dubbing. >>
If not, I plan on watching them on mute with the captions on. XD

I heard that too and its trues. Still I have to agree that on the Speacal they were horrible but what can we do? I just going to keep watching the dub and enjoy it either way. I mean I seen them on pics on Serebii and I just can wait to see the other Frountier episodes. I not going to let some dubbing issue get in the way of me watching my fave show.

Do any of you remember the tv show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? The part of Goldar here in the US was played originally by Macho Man Randy Savage. Then due to budget cuts they fired him at the end of his contract. The guy that took his place did 1 million times worse.

Nobody said that was the last movie. Lucario and the Mystery of Mew is the last movie to be dubbed by 4Kids, that's what was intended to be said.

If you were talking about another anime, the dubs would be ear-piecing for me.. but since I started watching Pokemon (dubbed) way before I started watching other anime, I got used to it.. and I love the dubs in fact.

By the way, just a doubt. Since they changed the voice talents of the characters, what about the voice talent of the pokemon? I know Pikachu's voice will stay the same, but what about voices like "squirtle", "bulba~bulbasaur"? Will they remain the same? o.o

Well, other than Meowth, they seemed to remain the same in the special, so I seriously doubt that they will change. Relax.
