Regigigas ex

Regigigas is my favorite ex pokemon so far, but I can't really decide why. I'm hoping to add it to my donphan deck, which includes donphan and the regular versions of the three dragons. The strategy of my current deck is to attack with donphan's earthquake with the dragons on the bench, slowly building up outrage and attacking with whichever one has the type advantage. Regigigas seems like it could do the same with raging hammer, and with 180 HP it could certainly take a huge hit and throw it back at them +50. Weakness to fighting kind of sucks because of terrakion (retaliate after a knock-out does exactly enough to knock out regigigas), but there might be ways to work around it.
What are everyone else's thoughts on regigigas ex? Is it worth a shot? Do you have a different strategy in mind?

Seems like a good idea to me. The only other suggestion could be using Reuniclus to move damage counters to your liking and power up Outrage / Raging Hammer as you see fit.

Hmmmm I wonder if there would be time to set up a reuniclus. I just playtested against magnezone/eelektrik with a mewtwo tech and mewtwo dominated me. The problem is that mewtwo can one-hit you so quickly that regigigas doesn't take damage that it can turn around and use with raging hammer, it just gets knocked out. Blah mewtwo!!

I expect to see at least two mewtwo ex's in every deck, unfortunately. I think the problem is that gigas feeds mewtwo's attack with its own high energy cost; mewtwo only needs 5 energy to one-shot it instead of 9 when gigas has all 4 energy to make up its attack requirement, and with eelektrik and double colourless it's disgustingly easy to put the energy on mewtwo. In two turns it's basically guaranteed. It's also unfortunate that terrakion one-shots it as well... it's a sad say in pokemon when a 180 HP monster that could do well over 150 damage is considered underpowered the day it's released.

They did make Mewtwo EX too overpowering which is a bit of a shame. Why did you create such a kick ass Pokemon, Giovanni! Yeah most decks will run a few copies of Mewtwo EX because he is probably the best counter to himself lol. To be fair though, only Regigigas is underpowered. Zekrom and Reshiram EX are solid cards and Shaymin EX can be decent too as a game ender.

i would add some Reuniclus, like you guys said before. Another thing to consider would be Eviolite. That reduces any damage done to basics by 20. That could be a tech against Mewtwo. Eviolite+Reuniclus would be a pretty good combo with any basic Pokémon with high HP. My only problem with Regigigas is it's energy requirements. three and four for the attacks, right? Maybe combining it with an Emboar deck instead? you could do emboar reuniclus dragons regi... it does run 2 lines of stage 2s but its just a thought. Ross Cawthorn had 2 stage 2s!

Reuniclus doesn't cut it. Mewtwo doesn't put a lot of damage on regigigas, it just knocks it out in one shot. It's the same reason why you don't put lots of damage on regular reshiram and zekrom; it can turn around and use that damage against you, except with gigas it's +50 extra. All you have to do is hold back from attacking it until you have enough energy attached to mewtwo for a ohko, and all gigas can do is 60 (80 if you want to take the recoil and hasten getting knocked out by mewtwo). Even doing 80, you still don't two-shot mewtwo without help from plus power or blackbelt or something. Unfortunately, I think I will have to set gigas aside for now.
