Hey guys so I have a question. I have recently became aware of the Challenges section and I love it! So my question is actually in two parts first off, how do the creators of the challenges know when we have completed them? And secondly Can I be considered a ultimate champion if I have no possible way of playing Generation VI or would this be decided by each challenge owner??

Challenge owners frequently go through every post to update the main post, and when they do that they'll see your post where you completed the challenge and update their OP accordingly. Of course, they may miss a post here and there but you can check to see what post they've updated to and if they accidentally skipped you, you can just let them know.

As far as being considered an Ultimate Champion, you probably won't be if you haven't completed X or Y. However, it is up to the challenge and the thread owner in the end.

Thank you so much for the help :)

To answer your first question, we give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to completion. A lot of people post detailed info about their team that they would probably only know if they had actually been playing (exact stats at level 38 on a Slowbro is not exactly common knowledge) and honestly if a person was going to lie about it, what's the up side? Oooo you told a bunch of nerds who play a lot of Pokemon that you completed a challenge when really you didn't. The only person it hurts is the one pretending. So we're pretty trusting over there. Some people post pics but that's never required as not everyone has the capability.

Second question, the conditions of an Ultimate Challenge are determined by the owner, however the definition of an ultimate as I see it is that you complete a challenge on all available regions, which would include Kalos right now unfortunately. I know it's inconvenient for people who do challenges by emulation, but that's just how it is. If you were doing the Monotype Challenge, I would let you start and play through gen 5, leaving it until such a time that you are capable of completing Kalos. People are working on an Emulator so it may be doable eventually.
