!ATTENTION! You do not have to read ALL of it, just atleast read the first part of it, and the description of the kingdoms. (Just in case all the text freaks you out)

In short this is Poke'mon RPG with no humans, set in a fantasy medieval world.

    Reign of The Kingdoms

    By Melko

In an age of lost magic and chivalry, valiantry and malevolence, Poke?mon ruled the lands with supreme authority. Legends were made, lore was spun.

Welcome to that such land, the land of Atha?

You are a peasant, a warrior, a wizard, a scholar, an activist, or whatever you choose to be. You hold your allegiance to one of the great kingdoms, the secretive orders or yourself till death.

In the world of Atha, humans do not exist. There are only Poke?mon, and they live like people. Will you choose to plunder the obscure dungeons of Atha, climb its highest peaks, or raise a new order from the ashes? Choose your allegiance, choose your destiny.

If you wish to enter such a world, simply let our scholars know a few details about yourself, and if you?re accepted, you?ll be starting new legends of your own!

Name: (Be creative, and choose a name appropriate for your place of birth. Maeltria names tend to have ae or eia, etc. in their names. Nvolov names tend to be similar to Russian names. Halai names are always Hawaiian sounding. Burnf and Ford Genn names tend to be Orcish and Dwarvish in nature. Zao-Qin names sound oriental. The Unknown Lands names are Lovecraftian in nature. Consider having an epitaph or title, such as Zhuge the Skillful, or Bitter John, but keep it appropriate and reasonable ? absolutely no ?invincible-kick-#@%-Billy-Boot?.)

Species: (What Poke?mon are you? No third-stage evolved Poke?mon, or Legendary Poke?mon.)

Age: (Keep this appropriate according to your species.)

Gender: (All Poke?mon have gender, even though some species do not display a mentality of either gender.)

Description: (Tell me about the physical characteristics of your character, what kind of clothes they were, any peculiar oddities about their appearance, etc. Be descriptive.)

Personality: (What?s your character?s personality? Be descriptive and tell me why you?re character acts the way he/she does.)

History: (What?s your character?s past? Where was he born? What is the history of his family line? What are some life-changing experiences you might have had? Be descriptive. Be thoughtful, you?re history, especially you?re lineage, matter a lot. Please do not have your character have been born in the Unknown Lands, or visited them extensively.)

Allegiance: (To whom do you swear to obey and serve? This is usually one of the kingdoms, cults, sects, etc. or it can be yourself. Be thoughtful though, allegiance matters a great deal in the world of Atha. Please no Allegiances to The Unknown Lands.)

Other: (Put any other notable things about yourself into here, as long the don?t belong in one of the above categories.)

I will probably be accepting 5-10 people for this RPG. Please only 1 character per person. Thank you.

I'm new to these forum boards, and I didn't see any "Sign-Up RPG" sub-forums or anything, but please correct me if I'm doing anything wrong. Thank you. Also, this RPG is Rated PG-13 for possible intense violence and gore and possible breif sensual mentioning. (If this is not allowed please tell me immediately, thank you)

    Kingdoms

Kingdom of Maeltria: Maeltria is the cold, ice isle kingdom to the far north, at the top of the world. It is ruled by the Articuno Matriarch A?Leia. It is one of the largest kingdoms, and thrives because of its bountiful supply of cold water seaweed and the consistent demand for its herbal qualities in the lower lands. Maeltria is officially a kingdom of ice and water Poke?mon. It is rumored that A?Leia is currently having an affair with Yru the Regice, leader of the Eternal Ice sect and that marriage may be in the near future. The kingdom of Maeltria has always been allied with Nvolov and Zao-Qin. They are on neutral grounds with Halai and Ford Genn, but actively oppose Burnf, claiming that it will grow to become like the Finma.

Common species of Poke?mon that inhabit the Maeltria region include, Snorunt, Glalie, Spheal, Seal, Dewgong, Seaking, Jynx, Sentret, Slowpoke, Piloswine, Wailmer, Relicanth, Delibird, and many, many more.

Kingdom of Nvolov: Nvolov is the frigid, northern sea kingdom of Atha, with magnificent underwater palaces; it has been nicknamed ?Atlantis? by others. Every czar that has ruled builds a palace, always better than his predecessor. It is resided over by the Kingdra Czar Elenkinov and his nine Milotic wives, Novla, Evdonya, Nvoyra, Yvdora, Olovene, Carvoze, Cvolane, Ivorvia, and Lvov. It is the largest of the sea kingdoms and has an impressive naval force. Nvolov is traditionally revered as a kingdom of cold water Poke?mon, and some ice ones. Nvolov and Maeltria are on good terms. Halai however, is considered to be an inferior state, and Nvolov would snatch up Halai if it wasn?t for the wrath of Zao-Qin and Ford Genn. Zao-Qin and Ford Genn are neutral, and Burnf is under suspicion.

Common species of Poke?mon found in Nvolov include Magikarp, Seaking, Jynx, Wailord, Dewgong, Sealeo, Walrein, Squirtle, Cloyster, Milotic, Gorebyss, Seadra, Qwilfish, Poliwrath, and many, many more.

Republic of Halai: Halai is the warm watered, tropical island and water kingdom to the southeast. It is a land of natural beauty and commonly referred to as a paradise haven. It is rich in sugar plants and nutritious ancient lava soil, making it a prime supplier of materials to Ford Genn, as well as a coveted territory to colonize. It is unique in that it is one of the first non-monarchy governments in all of Atha, the current elected leader of Halai is the Snorlax Kia?Analaka and his Milotic wife Halaina?Kawai. Halai is the smallest of the sea kingdoms, but is protected from naval assaults by a natural imposing corral reef surrounding most the islands. The Republic of Halai is now the unofficial territory of grass species, ever since the kingdom of grass Poke?mon was obliterated long ago by the fire Poke?mon, as part of the Crusade of 10,000 Ashes. Halai is on excellent grounds with Ford Genn due to a profitable trade agreement, and is positive towards Zao-Qin because of the ?tourist? industry it promotes. Halai is extremely bitter towards Burnf due to the amount high-ranking grass Poke?mon officials, and Nvolov for obvious reasons.

Common species of Poke?mon that live in Halai include, Snorlax, Slakoth, Tropius, Victreebel, Gonbe, Milotic, Corsola, Luvdisc, Kecleon, Ursaring, Whishcash, Meganium, Venusaur, Sceptile, Vileplume, Bellossom, Togepi, Kangaskhan, Tauros, Tangela, Jumpluff, Lickitung, Exeggutor, Krabby, and many, many more.

Alliance of Burnf: The Alliance of Burnf is a newly formed organization of mainly fire Poke?mon, though many of its founders have blood that goes back to the ancient Kinma kingdom of fire. Burnf is currently led by the headstrong partners of Brunom the Entei and Vimgir the Moltres. The kingdom of Kinma was destroyed and dispersed after its malicious crusade against grass Poke?mon, known as the Crusade of 10,000 Ashes. Burnf is also comprised of low-born fire Poke?mon families such as the Ogdrens, Ashendars, Charmelines, Anarnimas and Tolestashes. They are constantly rivaling the Federation of Ford Genn for the latest in steam technology, but their lack of natural materials is constantly setting them behind. Burnf has plans to aggressively expand its territory, but for now they plan to feign neutrality with all.

Common species of Poke?mon found in Burnf include Arcanine, Charizard, Rapidash, Magmar, Magby, Ponyta, Growlithe, Typhlosion, Flareon, Torchic, Charmander, Cyndaquil, Donphan, Numel, Houndoom, Blaziken and many, many more.

Heavenly Empire of Zao-Qin: The Heavenly Empire of Zao-Qin is the oldest, most respected, and most powerful kingdoms of all. Its founding ancestors date back to the dawn of time, and reputedly have a direct link with the heavens. It has been the kingdom of many different legendary Poke?mon, but the Emperor, Being of Heaven, has never changed; it is still the wise, magnificent and glorified Mew, Myu Kenga. Zao-Qin?s immense wealth comes from their massive trade web, as well as unique, high-priced gems and natural silk-like deposits found easily within territorial boundaries. All other kingdoms and large orders send representatives to the capital city of Zao-Qin and pay their respects, as well as talk and discuss. All kingdoms and almost all orders, sects, and cults support Zao-Qin because none of them are strong enough to openly resist. In the Heavenly Empire of Zao-Qin, peasants are owned by the nobles, and the nobles arrange their marriages and lifestyles.

Some of the Poke?mon that inhabit Zao-Qin include Zangoose, Seviper, Castform, Salamence, Dragonite, Milotic, Snorlax, Solrock, Lunatone, Altaria, Spinda, Hypno, Alakazam, Gardevoir, Venomoth, Butterfree, Beautifly, Dustox, Roselia, Delcatty, Persian, Espeon, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Medicham, Hariyama, Ninjask, Masqerain, Chimecho, Clefable, Ninetales, Golduck, Gyarados, and many, many more.

Federation of Ford Genn: The Federation of Ford Genn is one of the fastest growing kingdoms. Their lands are the southwest tip of Atha and a nearby island. There, they work on extremely advanced steam-technology and blacksmith forging. They use only the finest materials and their products are regarded as some of the best because they use a combination of fire, steel and electric type Poke?mon. Ford Genn is owned by 3 large, wealthy families; the electric type family of the Ekeleckoes, the fire type family of the Farimgods, and the steel type family of the Ashksh. However, life is tough for their workers because the forges run day and night. Ford Genn is mainly a ?workshop?, so they claim friendliness towards whoever currently profits them the most, however, if some of Ford Genn?s more elaborate inventions, such as ?flying machines? and ?tanks?, are made to work, Ford Genn may be one the mightiest powers in all of Atha.

Poke?mon that commonly work for the Federation of Ford Genn include Magneton, Electrode, Solrock, Torkoal, Camerupt, Steelix, Golem, Machamp, Magmar, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Muk, Weezing, Ampharos, Raichu, Forretress, Magcargo, Exploud, Nosepass, Metang, Electabuzz and many, many more.

The Lords of The Unknown Lands: Little is known about the so-called ?Lords of The Unknown Lands?, except that they are malevolent and come from the mysterious island in the far west known as ?The Unknown Lands?. They arrive biannually at select ports and trade dark, exotic goods, such as voodoo instruments, bits of flesh and strange bones, foul liquids and gases, as well as hideous black clothing and wicked weapons. Rumor has it that they are lead by a dark ?Mewtwo? lord named Dathomil.

Some known species from the Unknown Lands are Sneasel, Misdreavus, Gengar, Haunter, Houndoom, Murkrow, Umbreon, Marowak, Banette, Dusclops, Claydol, Sableye, and Absol.

    Cults, Sects, Schools and Orders

Kai Ling Temple: The Kai Ling Temple is located in the Northern Fangs Mountain range just north of Zao-Qin. It is home to a Zen monastery, as well as a Kai Ling Temple Dojo, where the unique fighting style of Kai Ling Boxing is taught to worthy students. It focuses on extremely fast and powerful punches, but with little legwork. The Dojo sensei is the Hitmonchan, Chen Lung.

Ford Genn Tradingsworth: The Ford Genn Tradingsworth is an advanced college for navigators, merchants, inventors, etc. It is located within Ford Genn?s warm coastal village property, and receives regular funding from them. Here, future geniuses are trained and instructed on some of the useful secrets of trading, navigating, etc. that Ford Genn has refined. The big boost for Ford Genn about this place, is that all its students are taught bias views for the better of Ford Genn.

Eternal Mind: Eternal Mind is a secretive cult with no permanent headquarters. All members are either of the psychic, ghost or dark type and they communicate through telepathy. Each member can read the thoughts of any other member no matter how distant. Their agenda is unknown, but they have been accused of trying everything from assassination attempts, to uncovering ancient artifacts. Their leader is an Alakazam named Shadowmir the Mad.

Mountain Ghost School: Mountain Ghost School is an elite, adept, and closely-knit clan of deadly assassins. No member has ever been caught alive, and it is unknown where there home is. They charge exuberant prices, but will commit ritual suicide if they fail to kill their assigned target. The Heavenly Empire of Zao-Qin has officially declare the Mountain Ghost School an abomination, and a threat to the security of all kingdoms; all members or suspected members are to be eliminated immediately.

Mercenary?s Guild: The Mercenary?s Guild is a new type of organization in the world of Atha. Mercenaries and warriors who claim loyalty to themselves, instead of a kingdom where scoffed at and insulted as miscreants. However, with the formation of the Mercenary?s Guild, they now have a connecting factor, and can stick up for themselves. Now it is not as ?inappropriate? to hire a loose mercenary, and the Mercenary?s Guild?s policies protect its members. The Mercenary?s Guild now has locations all over Atha, and the current leader is a charismatic Pidgeot by the name of Lucky Jones.

The Trade Tree: The Trade Tree is actually Zao-Qin?s extensive network of bartering, as well as it is one of the largest organizations. The symbol of The Trade Tree, is a oak tree, with a think, healthy trunk, and large, different colored branches; the branches? colors are: Crimson and Dark Blue, Ivory with accents of Gold, Yellowish-Tan, and Hazel. Crimson and dark blue are the weapons and armor trading branch. Ivory with accents of gold is the jewelry and luxury trade branch. Yellowish-Tan is the produce and material trading branch. Hazel is the property and estate trading branch. Representatives of each branch travel around and make routine stops in caravans with their respective colors displayed. Guards have recently been added to the caravans, because they had become a favorite target of bandits. The current overseer of The Trade Tree is Quintus Arcrelius, a greedy little Mr. Mime.

School of The Mystic River: School of The Mystic River is one of the many magical schools devoted to teaching advancement in the special arts. This school teaches special, magical techniques that can be used to manipulate and control the flow and function of rivers. Many wealthy parents send their bratty children to this facility for outrageous prices. The owner is a snappy Vaporeon by the name of Lady Lanya.

Toland Academy of Chiromancy: The Toland Academy of Chiromancy is a small, advanced school which offers lessons to selected students for higher levels of prediction and soothsaying. Entrance into the academy is free, but Xatu Seer Dr. Xavien Toland only allows in specific students which show unnatural potential. It is located in Zao-Qin.

The Cloak and Dagger Gang: The Cloak and Dagger Gang is a shifty group of thieves and miscreants who have banded together to better organize their crimes. They swap information and drinks all around Atha, and they are always eager to sell their souls for a few gold coins. The current rat-pack leader is the fearless and spineless, Daggertooth the Raticate.

Forest Ghost School: The Forest Ghost School is an elite, adept and closely-knit clan of ninja thieves. None of their members have ever been caught alive, and the location of their clan headquarters is completely secret. They charge exuberant prices, but will kill their employer if they fail, as to prevent a description of themselves being provided to the authorities by an angry client. The Heavenly Empire of Zao-Qin has officially declare the Forest Ghost School an abomination, and a threat to the security of all kingdoms; all members or suspected members are to be interrogated and then eliminated immediately.

Nyauatug Temple of Necromancy: The Nyauatug Temple of Necromancy was built by The Lords of The Unknown Lands in secret, and it has remained out of the public?s eye since. Here, dark priests teach chosen students the twisted and horrific ways of necromancy and black sorcery. It is a 20 year apprenticeship, so many of its students are actually orphans abducted at an early age. The demonic leader of this torturous place is the grim, Lord Denyoke, a Gengar from the Unknown Lands.

Ancestors of Finma: The Ancestors of Finma is a group of militant radicals, who live only to uphold the aggressive, dogmatic policies of the ancient Finma. They devote their entire lives to this cause, and are trained to be cold-blooded, emotionless killers. They are often referred to as ?terrorists?, and their leader is the estranged Blaziken, Ahli Kenmyt. The Heavenly Empire of Zao-Qin has officially declare the Ancestors of Finma an abomination, and a threat to the security of all kingdoms; all members or suspected members are to be interrogated and then eliminated immediately.

:\ I'm very, very sorry to double-post, but the character limit won't allow me to post it all at one time :'(

    Reign of The Kingdoms cont.

    Places of Interest

The White Castle: The White Castle is the glorious and beautiful capital of Maeltria. It was built by a unique and magical mixture of snow and white ice, which has lasted for thousands of years since its construction. It boasts large, beautiful statues and long, decorated silk curtains. The ruler?s palace is said to be made of pure ivory and diamond, as a testament to the wealth and splendor of Maeltria.

Barrier Fortress: Barrier Fortress is a castle of cold stone and ice that was made by the fore founders of Maeltria. It serves as a guard tower and garrison for the entire Maelstr barrier that protected Maeltria in ancient times from barbarian hordes. Now however, the fortress is empty and abandoned, and is rumored to have become infested with savage, rabid Poke?mon.

Maelstr Barrier: In old times, the fierce pagan tribes that lived in southern Atha would cross the northern seas in the summer months, when the ice had melted and traversing it by canoe was plausible. These annual summer and spring raids on Maeltria began to take their toll, so the king ordered a means of protection. The result was a 75 year project to build a massive, towering wall that would protect Maeltria for generations to come. Construction started under the reign of Kael the Suicune Patriarch, until he resigned, and was finally finished under the Walrein Patriarch, Philen the 4th. The Maelstr Barrier still stands today, with towering walls, and magnificent, silver etched hieroglyphs of traditional Maeltrian culture.

White Desert: The large expanse of lifeless, but pristine tundra southeast of Maeltria was named the ?White Desert? as a mock of the Zhan Khang desert. Apparently, an unknown leader of Maeltria visited the Zhan Khang desert and declared it, ?a piece of the underworld?. The White Desert however, presents just as many dangers as the Zhan Khang, with its relentless blizzards and killing frost. Rumors that ferocious creatures roam the snowy plains are also a deterrent.

Cave of Stained Ice: The Cave of Stained Ice is an ancient ice cave that was formed long ago. It provides shelter from snowstorms, but its passages are deep and maze-like, as well as stalked by savage, half-insane animals from the olden days.

Palaces of The Czars: The capital city of Nvolov, the Palaces of The Czars is actually a collection of hundreds of breath-defying, elegant aquatic palaces. Some of the most notable ones include the estate of Gyarados Czar Nicholas Nchinokov, Blastoise Czar Bnas Ochelonv and Poliwrath Czar Ardren Haroch. It is the largest market of cold water and deep sea fish, as well as rare artifacts from the bottom of the ocean floor. Rumor has it that the Mandate of Poseidon, the ruling scroll of Nvolov, is actually a map to the Temple of Kai?Ooga, where the god of the oceans supposedly rests.
Clearing Harbour: Clearing Harbor is a Poke?mon-made safe zone, where ships can dock and load/unload without fear of the treacherous icebergs wrecking their ships. It has several popular ?boat-taverns?, taverns that float out at sea like a ship, like ?The Treasure Map? and the ?Atlantis?.

Ashilkov Frozen Sea: The surface of this ocean is one of the most inhospitable places in all of Atha. The top is frozen solid in some areas but thin and brittle in other places. Ships passing by this route must be dragged along the ice, and crews must hope the hull isn?t shredded. Underwater caravans that trek their cargo through the bottom of the ocean sea are subject to strong, violent seafloor currents, as well as hidden crevices and pits that lead to the bottom of the Earth. The ocean brims with poisonous seaweed and toxic plankton year-round. Despite all these dangers, this area was supposedly a holy site in ancient times.

Northern Fangs Mountains: The Northern Fangs Mountains are some of the most imposing features of Atha. Each peak is sharp and edged, like a tooth, and snow blankets their tops like freshly drawn blood. They are incredibly steep and the soil is of poor quality. However, beneath the harsh mountains lies a reputed 3 veins of mythological irons. The first vein is on the surface, and it is of Kalandir Silver, a light, malleable but weak silver. The second vein lies deep in the heart of the mountain, it is of Brima Gold, a heavy, stiff but incredibly strong gold. The final vein is reputedly a river of Mecura in the roots of the mountain, a thick, goopy, syrup of liquid metal that constantly changes color. These veins though are dismissed as legend, and the kingdom that possesses the means to burrow down to the most valuable vein is Ford Genn, but Burnf would never allow them to enter and mine uninhibited.

Bleeding Mountain: The Bleeding Mountain spews blood-red lava from its peak day and night. The ash it uplifts into the air causes a haze of gray and thick clouds of black smoke that constantly surround the Northern Fangs Mountains. According to legend, the Bleeding Mountain was once dormant, until the god of Beauty and Fire decided to make it its home; ever since then the mountain has been violent and majestic. The national symbol of Burnf is the Bleeding Mountain.

Grave Under The Mountain: The Grave Under The Mountain is the material of nightmares. Myth has it that a talented and virtuous young Cubone by the name of Maverick had a keen interest in the possibility of great treasure beneath the Northern Fangs Mountains. He set off by himself and managed to come upon a hidden crevice in an unknown mountain. He followed it until he reached what he described in his journal as ?a horrific hall of stone tombs with an eerie aura?. After that he returned home and shared his discovery. A few other partners went back with him, but they have not been heard from since.

Roots of The Fangs: The Roots of The Fangs is a series of brutal cave mouths that supposedly lead to the bottom of Atha. Scholars have labeled it as ?dangerous and perilous? to venture down into them, as one would eventually fall out the bottom of the world.

Kai Ling Temple: The Kai Ling Temple was originally built in the founding days of the Heavenly Empire of Zao-Qin. It is set in the serene mountains, and it is full of ancient marble pillars and complicated stonework paths. It has numerous martial arts training devices from older days, like Brass Mankey Clubs and balancing sticks. In the spring the temple?s Cheri berry trees bloom and people from all over make a pilgrimage to this beautiful, serene site.

The Imperial City of Zao-Qin: According to mythology, The Imperial City of Zao-Qin was hand-built by the gods as a fitting palace for the Being of Heaven, Myu Kenga. The Emperor?s (Being of Heaven) palace is known as the Palace of The Jade Immortals. It features a large, flowing river of Mercura in the center, and a diamond encrusted keep of pure Brima gold. The Imperial City also boasts a magnificent trading square, with ancient mythological mosaics of gold, silver and jade. The security in the Imperial City is some of the strictest in all of Atha. Not a grain of wealth is to be stolen from the Imperial City, and guards are under orders to cut off the hands of thieves. The Imperial City is considered one of the safest cities in Atha.

Ancestral Shrine: The Ancestral Shrine is a small, very ornate shrine pagoda just outside of the entrance gate of The Imperial City of Zao-Qin. Its roof tiles are of a strange reddish-silver, which light up against the morning sun. Inside, on each level of the pagoda is a beautiful, relic and shrine dedicated to the different gods of Atha. The Ancestral Shrine has no guards, and is always open. Strangely enough, it has never been robbed or attacked, perhaps because no one is foolish enough to incur the wrath of the gods.

Shao Xing Plains: The Shao Xing Plains are the large, roaming lands of prairie to the east of Zao-Qin. Here many dying pagan cultures make their homes, but every year their children are taken by the Heavenly Empire of Zao-Qin as rent for the land and they have become doomed to vanish out of history. According to legend, Shao Xing was a great Zangoose warrior who slaughtered hundreds of the pagan witch-lords in the olden days, but in a final cataclysmic battle against Angmair, the mightiest of the wicked witch-kings, he was slain. The plains were named in dedication to his sacrifice to keep Zao-Qin safe.

Zhan Khang Desert: The Zhan Khang Desert is often called the scourge of the gods. As it is told by popular opinion, the gods use it as a place to vent their anger and frustration with mortals. This may or may not be true, as the Zhan Khang desert is usually boiling, except during freak-blizzards and flash-flood rainstorms. Rumors of a group of cannibal Cacturne bandits have recently scared away merchants from using traditional desert routes.

House of The Orders: The House of The Orders is a popular meeting place for many of the more peaceful, benevolent orders, cults, sects, guilds, etc. of Atha. It was built in the early days of Atha by an unknown civilization (though some scholars speculate it may have been built by distant ancestors of The Lords of The Unknown Lands). It has a grand court of white and black marble that is used for counseling and debates, a large garden full of exotic plants, a hall full of magical works of art and a large accommodations wing. The permanent residents of the House of The Orders is an Alakazam by the name of Ureal Pathika and a group of Kadabra. Rumor has it that the House of The Orders was built with pure magic, and that those who live their do not age. This may or may not be true, as Ureal Pathika is often credited as one of the oldest living mortals in Atha.

Endless Sea: The Endless Sea is not actually endless, though for thousands of years it has appeared as though it stretches for eternity. In a fit of anger, an ancient king of the southern islands asked the god of the sea for an ocean the one could not see the end of, so that his fishing profits would increase. The god of the sea gave him exactly what he wanted, a sea that no mortal could the see the end of. It appears to go on forever and ever, but in reality, the illusion ends at the very edge of Ashilkov Frozen Sea. This presents a great danger to navigating ships, as the immersed tips of the palaces of Nvolov cannot be seen, nor used as a constant for the north.

Sea of The Setting Sun: The Sea of The Setting Sun is the largest sea, many, many times larger than the Endless Sea. Every evening as the sun?s rays splash across the glass-like surface of the Sea of The Setting Sun, a marvelous spectacle occurs. While the sun drops down into the ocean, the reflection on the water is actually the reflection of something much different. The reflection varies, but usually it is a scene from mythology, or a beautiful picture. Many nobles have offered to pay a handsome sum to the first artist that can accurately paint it as a picture, for none have been able to do so yet.

School of The Mystic River: School of The Mystic River is located in the break of a river in the Southwin forest. There, Lady Lanya resides over the school. The facility was designed with unique architecture, its steep, sloping wooden roofs and moss-covered dark stone walls resemble a small, homely cottage more than a training school. It is said that within the confines of the School of The Mystic River, the only sound that can be heard is the soft sounds of streams and rivers flowing by.

Pagan Battlefield: The Pagan Battlefield is a true testament to the disgust and hatred the civilized kingdoms of Atha still hold for the small, frugal barbarian tribes that have managed to survive. It is not literally a battlefield, but more a large, open field of slaughter and carnage. Every year, as well as whenever else possible, people gather to watch as barbarian men, women, and children of all ages and sizes are brutally tortured to death and defiled. The Heavenly Empire of Zao-Qin once funded this terrible spectacle, but now that responsibility has been taken up by Burnf. Many Poke?mon rights activists scream that this is inhumane, but the bloodlust of the people of Atha still has to be quenched.

The Red Castle: The Red Castle is the shining joy and pride of the newfound Alliance of Burnf. Designed by Finma-descended architect, Agon Rakemfire, it has large, majestic sweeping walls and tall, sturdy towers of flawless red brick. The gates are made of solid, dyed-red steel, and it has a moat of molten lava flowing around it. Inside, The Red Castle has a large dining hall filled with hunting trophies and a roaring fireplace. The Red Castle is a symbol of power and superiority to the Alliance of Burnf.

Gen Gin Forest: The Gen Gin Forest is a relatively new forest, first emerging in the time of the fall of the Finma. It is home to several new types of trees and shrubs that grow many times faster than normal plants, and is what is consistently being used to fuel Ford Genn and its Great Forge. Ford Genn has recently come to the realization that they must replant and reforest that which they use for the good of Atha, so they have hired citizens to go and plant trees and seeds along the forest borderline.

Southwin Forest: The Southwin Forest is the oldest in all of Atha. It has been called by many names, including Blackroots Forest, Golden Leaf Forest, and The Old Forest. The forest was once several times larger than it is today, but after the Crusade of 10,000 Ashes it was severely cut back. It was once regarded as a peaceful and timeless forest, but now days malice and bitterness stirs in the hearts of its trees, and with no major plant kingdoms living in it anymore, the trees and plants of the Southwin Forest have become vicious and cruel, attacking living things as soon as they enter the reach of their branch?s, or setting clever traps for unwary travelers.

The Tree of Death: The Tree of Death is the evil centerpiece of Southwin Forest. Long ago it was planted by the forest god from a perfect seed. Centuries of misfortune and change however, have made the Tree of Death what it is today. It is a large, dead white tree that stretches above the forest canopy, and it is as wide several homes. Its roots are twisted and gnarled, and some of the snake above ground like misty ghosts. Rumor has it that a cannibal spirit lives inside the tree, and that to touch the tree?s bark, is to bring death.

Three Wounds: The Three Wounds is actually three separate large volcanoes. According to legend, they were formed by the three ancient fire gods after a gruesome battle with their enemies. The west one is the smallest, with a smooth, sloping surface. The middle one is the largest, with a rough, crumbly surface, and the east one is the second largest, with a slick, vertical slope.

Tomb of Amun-Reth: The Tomb of Amun-Reth is a long-forgotten relic from an ancient era. Mythology holds that the pagan lord Amun-Reth feared death over all things. He built a great tomb infused with all the magic available to him, hoping to be reincarnated immediately after death. However, ghosts came to inhabit his tomb while it was still in construction. Once Amun-Reth was buried there, his spirit was tormented. Now the wrathful spirit of Amun-Reth and the malicious ghosts and demons that tortured him haunt and wander the passageways of the tomb, eager to obliterate and destroy those within their grasp.

Hai?La?Akai Island Chain: The Hai?La?Akai Island Chain is most commonly referred to as ?The Southern Isles?. It has several small islands of lush, tropical jungle and warm, white sanded beaches. Exotic flowers and fruits are served as a delicacy to visitors by the natives, and lodges have even begun to spring up in the more scenic places for travelers to stay in. The soil is rich with many different kinds of strong minerals, which are exported at varying prices to other kingdoms. No one is allowed to disturb the natural beauty of the islands, and it is rumored to be bad luck to destroy its pristine harmony.

Jungle Palace: The Jungle Palace is the capital of the Republic of Halai, with large, perfectly cut moss-covered stones and luscious plant and flower life adorning it like jewelry. It has a large, natural hot spring and a magnificent courtyard full of native statues. The president?s chambers are completely covered in soft, warm moss and has a natural waterfall flowing through it.

Ford Genn: Ford Genn is the city of the Federation of Ford Genn. It is home to industrial looking houses, brick roads and large, booming factories. Its homes are the first to have furnaces and cooling as well as the first to have free schools. The buildings are packed closely together, and rise like a modern day city.

Ford Genn Tradingsworth: Ford Genn Tradingsworth has a large, open campus with 3 wings of dormitories and many large class rooms for teaching. Most of the buildings are made of wood and stone, with arched shingled roofs.

The Great Forge: The Great Forge is the pride and joy of the Federation of Ford Genn. It is an engineering marvel, with over 2,000 separate boilers and assembly lines, it is the birthplace of new technology. Workers sign contracts that force them to live in the Great Forge, and they are often put to work for several days at a time. The whole forge is constantly warm to a nearly unbearable temperature, and thick grease and strong smoke fill every corner. The largest forge in The Great Forge, is Hanandim, which is capable of smelting and melting any known material.

Southbay Sea: The Southbay Sea is the small, warm water sea to the south of Atha. It is rich in different kinds of seaweed and sea grass. Some rumors have it that terrible witches live in the Southbay Sea, with their disguised as sea weed, they wait for unsuspecting swimmers. Though these rumors cause fear, many people disregard them.

omg... I'm sorry, it still couldn't all fit. Just one more post.... oohh.... please don't ban/murder me! :nervous:

Ok... *phew* It finally all fitted. I'm really sorry I had to triple post, but I had major problems with that character limit. :paranoid:

    Places of Interest cont.

Black Castle: What is known about the Black Castle is gathered from the eyewitness accounts of the few people who have been fortunate enough to have traversed through the Unknown Lands and return alive. According to one frightened scholar, it is a place ?of endless torture. Screams and wails echo throughout the halls, which are filled with depictions of gruesome deaths and rotting flesh. The stench of acid and defiled flesh masks the entire structure. The castle itself I?m convinced was evil, for if you stared too long on any particular feature, it appeared as though blood began to flow from its crevices.? Many officials have questioned The Lords of The Unknown Lands traders, but they refrain from answering, and only mention it as a place for the strong of heart.

Nightpillar: The Nightpillar is one of the marvels of the Unknown Lands. Witnesses who have glimpsed at it, describe it as a tall, lighthouse-like structure made of slick, black marble. Atop it is a single, pulsing dark sphere, which think midnight colored ash rises out of. The black ash collects above all of the Unknown Lands and causes eternal night.

Scarred Plains: The Scarred Plains comprise most of the Unknown Lands. It is a seemingly life-less plain filled with toxic geysers and magma pools. Suffocating fumes of sulphur and unknown chemicals litter the air, and serrated rocks quickly slash open travelers? legs.

Terror Islands: The Terror Islands is a recently discovered place of strange, unfathomable horrors. Nine different demon horrors from the old world were locked away forever on these islands, in hope that humanity would be spared from them. Many people even deny the exist of these islands, which perhaps is for the best.

Rivertear The Hellish: Rivertear The Hellish was a cruel, demonic Feraligatr with fangs that sliced through air and a bite that folded steel. He was supposedly strong enough to launch boulders around like sand and his hide was stronger than reinforced iron.

Venomsludge The Noxious: Venomsludge The Noxious was a putrid, violent Muk that was always accompanied by the stench of death and rotting flesh; he was said to be able to change forms and shift-shape his body to hunt down his victims in their hiding places.

Demonthought The Drowner: Demonthought The Drowner was a wicked, heartless Alakazam that was known for his brutal technique of drowning his enemies in their own blood. He wielded silver swords instead of spoons, and he reportedly had a permanent light shield around him.

Fleshbane The Devourer: Fleshbane The Devourer was a savage, rabid cannibal Houndoom that was known to eat the entire bodies of people, and to set fire to babies in cribs, listening to their cries as they burned to death.

Gravethunder The Interred: Gravethunder The Interred was a madly berserk Electabuzz that electrocuted large sums of people for now reason. With his strength he could knock down a large portion of a castle wall with one punch.

Horrorbone The Controller: Horrorbone The Controller was a fervent, vile Marowak that used the bones of his victims to make deadly weapons. His feared power was his ability to force one?s bones to fly out of the skin, or snap like dead leaves.

Hateslash The Vicious: Hateslash The Vicious was an abhorrent, heinous Scyther whose scythes could slice up stone like linen. His speed was as fast as lightning, and in battle Hateslash was capable of decapitating hundreds instantly.

Hellmane The Terrifying: Hellmane The Terrifying was an atrocious, immoral Arcanine. She was known to roar at the moon in a way that gave people heart attacks, and with her fire she consumed the houses of many poor peasants, individually tearing every morsel of skin of them.

Rotmouth The Cadaverous: Rotmouth The Cadaverous was an emaciated, ashen Aerodactyl with sword-like teeth and a blood-curdling shriek. He could soar through the night, collapsing the roofs of peasants? homes or suck an innocent wandering person dry.

P.S.: This is an OPEN plot RPG, so it does have a plot.

I'm posting a new reply instead of editting my previous posts because I need to make sure this gets up at the top and seen, before it's too late.

Will a Mod or someone please sticky this? I just don't want it getting buried under the other RPG's before anyone even has a chance to sign-up.

    Thank you.

Don't worry about it LusterKnight. :classic:

I can tell from looking around at the other RPG's here that most people are into to the stereo-typical Poke'mon RPG Adventure.

Why don't you just try it? Give it a chance, and don't worry, I'm not going to be super strict or anything. Trust me, if you can play a traditional RPG, you can just as easily do this. :)

What you are is a Poke'mon, but you act like a human does, in a fantasy setting.

    Here's an example character:

    Name: John Butteroom
    Species: Eevee
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
Description: John is fluffy Eevee of average build and size.
Personality: John is nice, but a little too competitive. He tends to put on a tough guy act, but inside he's a little sensitive.
History: John was born in a peasant family in the town of Ford Genn and was trained from an early age in blacksmith crafts. He had a knack for getting into trouble, and was almost sold into slavery after he was rude to a noble's daughter.
Allegiance: The Federation of Ford Genn
    Other: None

I'm not sure if it's too late to join or not...

    Name Kalie
    Species Rapidash
Age 6 (Based off of "horse years". I think it's mid 20's to early 30's or something in human years.)
Gender Mare (For those of you who don't know, thats a female horse.)
Description Kalie is a little bit shorter than most Rapidash, but that acually helped her become faster, seeing as her stride is lower to the ground. Her hind legs are the most powerful part of her body and she will kick out if she feels threatened. The fact makes her a powerful jumper. Her coat is pitch black, but her mane is still "normal fire color".
Personality Kalie is a herd animal by instint, but she can still survive on her own. She is very competetive, espically when it comes to speed or ability to jump. She is outgoing and cheerful, but won't back down to anyone. As for Pokemon she dosn't know, she won't trust them, but she isn't aggressive towards them unless they are towards her.
History She was born in Alliance of Burnf, where her family were used in a way similar to the "Pony Express". She was never properly trained for battle, but for entertainment. She started training to race before she became a yearling, and by the time she was two, she was out on the track. She was fairly good at flat racing, but her parents didn't think it was enough. So they trained her into a steeplechaser at the age of four. (Steeplechasing is like flat racing, but their are jumps in the race as well.) She has been doing that ever sence, as well as traveling around with messages to other areas. (sort of like the Pony Express)
    Allegiance Alliance of Burnf

A charmeleon walks by, stopping for a second to examine the exausted heap.
"Pitiful, it chose a losing battle..."
It continues walking, ignoring the hitmonlee entirely...
