Do you miss the good ol'days when you had to work hard in Pokemon?

I dislike the whole tecnical side of battling. Get these Evs, Ivs, moves and nature...

... And everyone ends up with exactly the same Pokemon. I like the days when I only cared about one thing levels. I mean you should work out your own tactics use them.

As for cheating I have used the cloning glitch, but only to trade a copy of my Pokemon to someone else. I would cheat, if I could, to get uncatchable Pokemon or event Pokemon because I don't have anyway to get them but to get shinys no. Do it the old fashion way and run round in grass for five years or hatch twenty thousand eggs. I have, but I still don't gave a shiny.
 
Nope. My tactics involved finding the coolest pokemon there were, and catching them.
 
I voted the first option. Todays chear systems are the major downfall of Pokemon and it should be prohibited.
 
Ok, I'm probably gonna be seen as retarded here but what the heck. What are IV's and EV's. And why would they change anything? Don't people play pokemon for fun any more or something?
 
Back in the old days I had no idea what I
was doing most of the time. I honestly
don't even know how I defeated anyone.
So seeing that I have finally come to understand
what everything means. I don't think there is much
of a change for me.
 
Valid points across the board, but let's not forget what makes Pokemon, well Pokemon. And that would the Pokemon themselves. While sadly many new cheating devices have found there way into the world and make it easier to obtain those 'use to be hard as hell to get legendaries' it makes competitive battling much easier these days, which is what I'm into anymore these days.

Though when I first pick up a copy of Pokemon, I always play through it honestly like back in the old days, relying only on power leveling and catching the Pokemon I need to beat the Elite Four. Course once I do it, then it's all about competitive battling again. XD
