2nd Gen remember the good old days

Ah, I remember I was so in love with pidgeot when I got to the gym leader with steelix my croconaw was only at about level 20 and ouch...

So I never let it evolve because Croconaw = EPIC WIN and I couldn't beat Lance. So I pulled the guy out of my box at maybe level 30-40 and destroyed Lance with ice punch, despite my firen's "advice" that I shouldn't use it :0
 
I remember getting silver and being like

'Must play, must play, must play... food, no Pokemon is better than food!'

So.. well you get the idea. And I remember playing Pokemon with my friend. We would sit in her house, and we got sheets and blankets, and we would be Metapod's! We would lie wrapped up in the blankets for hours, then we would evolve and fly around as Butterfree's, it was so fun. And I played with my half cousin, I would be a charmander, she would go to catch me, then I would be a Charizard and battle her. And also we used to get my cousin to put our names at the top of a sheet and draw two bars, one was my health bar and the other my my half cousins! Then we would battle, and charge at eachother, and growl and stuff, and every time I hit her or she hit me with a move like tackle, my cousin would scribble out some of the bar! IT WAS SO FUN!

All that was because I got silver! How awesome!
 
Lol I remember on R/B/Y at the cave where you need flash. And I could do it without flash because I was too lazy to get the HM. So my sister and brother were like, "OMG! Can you like get through the tunnel for me?"

Funniest thing was, when I did use Flash, I always found myself lost... =P
 
i remember my mate trying to find a Heracross by headbutting the trees in Azalea Town in pokemon crystal, he spent hours trying to find one but had no luck, once i got there i got the headbutt TM went back to Azalea Town headbutted a tree and found a Heracross on my first try, which became an awesome member of my team, my mate got so annoyed with me and he kept offering me his Totodile in trade for it (for some reason he always catch's a bird pokemon and then boxes his starter).
 
I remember the day I got my Gold version. I received it as a birthday present (my 13th to be specific) and I fell into my usual state of complete enrapturement. Basically only the urge to eat, use the bathroom, or sleep interrupted my gaming for the next few days.

Oh man, I made that mistake of teaching Shadow Ball to my Alakazam in my first play through. Those were good times.
 
I remeber I got gold and i played its soo much then i accidently left in my pocket adn my mom washed my jeans. so yah th e game could never save every time you try to start it gets erased. but then wen my cousin came to stay over i beat him up and took it lol...never hsoulda gave me anipple twister lol
 
I loved GSC and I think they're still the best in part because they have regular events for days of the week.
I was just simply amazed about everything on GSC, especially the radio and celly on the pokegear. The day/night system was amazing...
 
I was a idiot back then, i didnt know game mechanics, but I remember the exact place [real world and game] where I encountered raikou for the first and final time.
 
mystery gift

What i liked most of pokemon gold and silver
was the mystery gift feature!

I can remember how i mystery gifted every day with someone from my school.

It just was cool :P
