    Hi all,

I have an old version of Sapphire I haven't played in a couple of years, and when I went back in it the time within in the game would stay the same. I looked into the problem on my own and found that I need to replace the game save battery. However, I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle to replace game save battery, or to just buy a completely new Sapphire cartridge off of Amazon. Anyone have thoughts on what to do?

It's not necessary to replace your battery when it runs dry- the game will still work and can be saved, it's just some features like berry growing and daily activities that are unavailable.

If you do end up deciding to buy a new copy of Sapphire, make sure you do your research before buying, since there are more and more fakes floating around as the game gets harder to come by. Team Fail wrote a great guide here to help compare fake and real cartridges, and it's worth following if you do decide to go that route!
