well, i downloaded irfanview, but when i change color depth to 16 and save it, even then UnLZ says its not indexed.

EDIT- i trying to replace the 3rd gen starter pics wit the 4th gen starter pics.

could someone index the back and front sprites of all the diamond and pearl starters except for turtwig? i dont know how really... I am using a program called Ultimate Paint..

Here are indexed sprites by *Neos*:
The backsprites have to be in that palette, in the game they'll be normally colored.

(I'm using a Fire Red rom)

I find the Pokemon image, replace it with an idexed image with the same dimensions, write the rom and point the offset to empty space. Nothing happens and I have the same Pokemon as before.

Why? What's going on?

You can tick "Automatically fix pointers" when you write the sprite to the ROM or not point the offset to emtpy space.

Download IrfanView, open your sprite, Image > Decrease Color Depth > choose 16 colors and save it. The sprite will be indexed and ready for inserting in unLZ.

Well, I can import the sprite now, but the bottom part of it is all messed up with horizontal lines on it.

What settings should be used for Export Pallette/Image?

Ok I think I fixed that problem..
but when I try to add the trainer sprite like the back part of her etc. it still doesn't show on the game.. It's still the same picture that it always was.

When I try to Edit the Hero/Heroine sprites for Sapphire, it ends up with the same pallete as Brendan/May. The same thing happens when I try to insert D/P Pokemon into my hack. What do I need to do?

The image you insert must be the same size as the one you're replacing or it will come out glitched.

When you write the image to the ROM, click "Export Palette".

I said the image size, the whole image should be 64x64 pixels.
