Whats the point of having reputation when none of us can give actual points that count?
I think you should give a few TRUSTED members 25+ reputation points so it can be spread around.

Members can give reputation points that count. It all depends on some statistics such as how many posts you have and how long you've been here. The more posts, membership time, and current reputation; the more reputation a member can give or take away from another member.

For every 100 days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
For every 500 posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
For every 30 points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

However many reputation points you can give to another member is called reputation-altering power.

Just adding, you have to earn reputation-altering power. Think of it like this for brand new members that can't give it out right away... We can't have people joining just to spam negative rep to infect the forum. So, yeah, that's why you don't have reputation-altering power from the get go.
