    NOTE: Resplendence is part of a series of episodes being made by me. Resplendence is not a game, but an interactive movie being made with RM2K3.

    Resplendence takes place in Hoenn about 5-10 years after the stories of Ruby and Sapphire. Many tragedies, such as the sinking of Sootopolis City have happened, but many triumphs have also happened. Many things in Hoenn have changed, but some other things have YET to change...

    Amber is a young girl who moved from Olivine City, Johto, to Littleroot Town, Hoenn. While she isn't thrilled to live in such a small town, she's excited to receive her first pokemon. Professor Birch has left Hoenn on an expedition in Sinnoh, joined by Professor Rowan and Professor Oak. However, Professor Ruby (Birch's son) has taken over, and formed a research department with Professor Green (Oak's grandson), and Professor Elm of Johto. I won't tell you what Pokemon she receives yet. Warned by Ruby that Hoenn is not the same as it used to, she soon leaves and enters the Pokemon World.

    Over the years, people changed along with the regions geography.

    :pokeball: Sootopolis City was destroyed due to mass flooding. The crater overflowed, cutting off Hoenn's major freshwater supply. Soon, the entire city was underwater. However, why the Island sank underwater is unknown, and is still being researched. (Soon to be revealed)

    :pokeball: This event caused the surviving population to be sent to the neighboring islands of Mossdeep and Pacifidlog, and to the major cities of Lilycove and Slateport.

    :pokeball: Sootopolis City Gym has relocated to Lilycove City, replaced with a new leader and new gym type. (Soon to be revealed)

    :pokeball: Flannery is Hoenn's own Idol. She is the regional celebrity. Over the years she has released numerous albums and starred in a number of movies. She still runs the Lavaridge Town Gym.

    :pokeball: Norman has retired from Gymleading, and now his wife Caroline is the gym leader of the Petalburg City Gym. The type is still Normal, with some different types in the line-up.

    :pokeball: Wattson has died. His last wish was to keep the gym's identity as an electric-type gym. After years of having flimsy gym leaders who never lasted, A Former Gym leader from another region returns to run Wattson's Gym. (Soon to be revealed)

    :pokeball: Sidney drops out of Elite Four and vanishes. Winona is offered a position in Elite Four to replace Sidney, and soon closes down the Fortree City Gym. Later in the years, the Fortree City Gym is reopened as a School.

    :pokeball: Due to the closing of Fortree City Gym, a new gym has been built in Slateport City. The new gym has a new leader and a new type. (Soon to be revealed)

    :pokeball: A new evil has surfaced in Hoenn, and it is not affiliated with Aqua, Magma, or Rocket. (Soon to be revealed)

    :pokeball: Almost all the contest halls have been closed down for the season due to the coming of the Grand Contest Convention, being held on an Island south of Ever Grande City.

    :pokeball: A magnificent lighthouse has been constructed where Sootopolis City once stood. The lighthouse appears to rise out of the sea, and has been named Sootopolis City Lighthouse, even though the city is long gone. The keeper of the lighthouse is devoted to the research of what happened to Sootopolis City. (Soon to be revealed)

    [UPDATE! MAY 11]
    :pokeball: Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza were sealed in Pokeballs and sent to Sinnoh for research. They were soon sent back, and entrusted to Professor Ruby. Out of respect, he threw Kyogre's Pokeball into the ocean, buried Groudon's Pokeball underneath Lilycove City, and gave Rayquaza to Norman.

    The Devon Corp has merged with Kanto's Silph Company. Their leader is... (Soon to be revealed)

    A mysterious Pokemon tours the countryside of Hoenn, in search of its owner. (Soon to be revealed)

    Thanks! My idea was why make something totally new, when I can make something new out whats already been made. In this case, the future of Hoenn. I think its a good idea, but it's still in the early stages so if anyone has any type of "historical" contribution to the story now, feel free to post them up!
     
    Well maybe, some cities/towns could have minor changes. Like, Rustboro City could become bigger, smaller, larger. Or the president of Hoenn decide to make some changes in certain places. I have a lot of ideas. If you have m$n, it would perfect. (Only if you want)
     
    Some suggestions include:

    A new town being built in the forests north of Hoenn.

    The volcano (that team magma/aqua was at) is erupting or has erupted

    Some forests north of Hoenn are now a new area. (I know it isn't a game, but you could go there) Call it something cheesy, like the northern forests, or, maybe something good, like The Dark Forest.

    Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza have been captured by a mysterious trainer, who has become an instant celebrity. (Think of the main character of Emerald or something)

    The currents east of Slateport have somehow been disrupted.

    There has been a collapse of part of meteor falls that reveals a whole network of new caves.

    The desert has encroached on the nearby areas, and environmentalists are frantically trying to figure out why it's growing.

    The starting town (I forgot its name) has grown greatly in size.

    Lilycove has become a vast city that stretches farther north.

    Those are some really good ideas! I especially like the whole collapsing of Meteor Falls! and the currents east of Slateport suddenly stopping could sure blend in with the whole sinking of Sootopolis.
     
    Here are some new ideas:

    - The Safari Zone is now larger with a train like in Pastoria City
    - The space center in Mossdeep City became a museum
    - The waterfall on Route 119 drown the route (Some parts are still viewable)
    - Fallarbor Town has archaeological digs
    - Mauville City's power plant explode because of a huge electric current from Mauville Gym (Maybe the reason of why Wattson died?)
    - Lilycove City became a huge exotic port city with various docks and boat
    - A library has been add to Fallarbor Town regarding some ancient fossils and weird fissure around the town

    And I like this Mossdeep City Museum even better than the Space Center! And the reason why Wattson died? Hmmm, Power plant exploding seems interesting!
     
    Okay, I fixed alot of the story. I started off with the Kanto-Johto Arcs of my story.

    Unlike Red/Green/Blue who received Bulbasaur/Charmander/Squirtle... Coral, the hero of the first story (titled Restoration) recieved Mareep. Amber, the hero of the second story (titled Resplendence) receives Spheal. I have most of the story done, but I've been working on some Pokemon Brass/Tin stuff. I dunno, holler?
