    I made a thread in the Graphics and Photography sub-forum and it's not there anymore since it hasn't been posted in for a couple of months, but it's still viewable by searching for it, and there's also the option to post in the thread, so I was wandering if I posted in it again, would it appear in the front page of Graphics and Photography? And I also want to know if it's allowed.

    In most places of the community, reviving threads that are over a month old is against the rules. However, the Graphics and Photography rules state that you may revive a graphics showcase within a reasonable amount of time versus making a new thread. This will float your thread back to the top of the index.

    Not really sure what constitutes a reasonable amount of time however, as I'm not a moderator there. :x

    I posted in a thread that was almost a month old, but not quite a whole month old yet. I was scolded by a member about this. They weren't a moderator and I'm not trying to turn they in for mini-modding I'm just trying to clarify what the rules are on this.

    Um.. depends on what area it's in?

    Either way, they shouldn't have jumped on you for it. Especially since even if it was a day or two shy of a month, it still wasn't a full month. Therefore.. no fowl. xD;

    Just to be clear, a "month" is how long? 30 days or when the post gets to the same day next month (e.x. thread created January 14th so expire February 14th)?

    I, personally, go from a date, ex. June 15th, to a date, ex. July 15th. So if anyone posts after that date to date, it's too old. I think most staff members do it like that too.

    I do the same thing Klippy does. Say something gets revived June 14th and hasn't been posted in since May 15th, then I'll keep it open. Sure, it bugs the crap out of me, but it's still within the limits so it'd be unfair to lock it.

    And if someone is trying to mini-mod and tell you off, just report it. ;)
