Richard's Battle Stadium v3.0

I'm always down for a battle. I'm fairly new to competitive battling (only really got into EVs, IVs and all that jazz after Platinum came out) so battling an experienced player such as yourself could prove useful for my progression. Let me know if you'd like to throw down. :)

GG Richard, it's my tournament team, so I don't want to say any specifics, but that certain legend wasn't too kind to your team. xD

GG, Ooka. I haven't used SubPunch Gengar in FOREVER, so I was obviously struggling with him. haha, plus I seriously overrated his Speed. That was a big oops on my part.

But just remember, you had to resort to the lower level of Swords Dancing to break my walls. ;) haha. I've never liked Swords Dance, and will never use it myself, but if it works, it works! Good game.

FalconJoker, you a still up for a battle? It's back to the Pokemon I actually know how to use. haha

Yeah, to be honest I don't like stat upping moves myself, however when I was looking at what my team needed, I realized that "The SDing Pokemon" fit the slot perfect. I might end up finding a replacement for it before the tourney though. :/

Also, I doubt it would have been anywhere near a 6-0 if you would have had Ubertomb on the team. xD

Definitely. Use the FC you have in your signature I assume?

haha, yeah, I switched him out for Gengar. It's a pity, really; people say my single most annoying Pokemon to take down is my Tomby. I love the little SoB!

And stat-upping is fine, but it can massacre those who run stall teams, and having always run a stall team (and running it quite well, I might add!), I naturally dislike it. I've tried it a few times with experimental Pokemon, but at the end of the day, I don't like easy wins, which is exactly what something like Swords Dance gets you. It's a fool-proof strategy, no real thinking involved. You know? I rely almost completely on prediction, and I always have. *sigh* the past two generations were not at all kind to stall teams. *tear*

Oh well!

Damn straight. haha
See you on WiFi!

AWESOME MATCH. That has seriously, got to be the single most exhilarating match I've had to date. Some of the predictions you made were starting to piss my off, and I had to start thinking on my toes and try to out predict you. Very intense battle. I can see you're a veteran!

I second that! I haven't had a battle that fun in ages. It was insanely close at the end, and I was sure I got you, until your Scizor on steroids got ME. haha. Doesn't help I could have sworn Superpower was a Rock move... makes me wish I had preserved Tomby. I actually tried to whiddle down your Attack stat so Blissey could survive at least one hit, but you put her horizontal in a heartbeat.

Great battle! Hope to battle again sometime.

I noticed that! I was getting a little worried whether or not Scizor still had enough in the tank to finish the job, but he came through! I look forward to our next battle as well cause you can bet I'll certainly return in the future! :)

I look forward to that myself!

Anyways, I have a bit of time before I have to get to work, so...

Anyone wanna battle?

Hey Richy, I hear you're a remarkable trainer and I wanted to have a go at you,
so lemme know when you have any time on your hands for a pokemon battle. =D

It's time for me to try and shine here at PC. I'll take you on Richard. Next time we're both online, it's on!

While I don't believe I'm in the frame of mind to actually battle well, I do have some time on my hands, so...

Anyone wanna battle?

Luigi, Legend, you guys on by any chance?

Hi dude, i'd like to battle you, pleas reply via PN whenever you are online and have time.

So, just for the record, I will be available tonight, around 8:00pm EST (for the non-time people, that's roughly 7 hours, 7.25 to be exact), so if anyone is in the line to challenge me, that would be the opportune time.

See ya then!

Hi Lynch, PM me, when we can battle (Ladder Match) =)

Well, Terra took that win. Even if I conceded, a loss is still a loss.
Even if he had to bank on a Calm Mind Suicune to take down my walls. haha
Although, I will say you outpredicted me a few times, but I also you. So it was a moderately fair match in that department.

The fact that my Spiritomb alone took on three of his Pokemon, and took down two of them. It was a good match, no doubt. Just annoying that you had to stat boost to beat me.

(Also have to mention that I stated I prefer no legendaries, and you used... what, three against me? Four? For someone whose own rules are so concrete, you're the first person I'd expect to respect the preferences of others).

That you don't like to see Legendarys i don't knew, where you wrote me that?
Usually a Suicune has Calm Mind, or not? And in this end the sense was it, to bring the foe to "Struggle".

PS: I deleted my "own" rules, but i'm now again sick of seeing everytime the same Pokemon.. but for youse (so silly it sounds) i put away my preconditions.

PS 2: Why we don't easily call this match a cruel stallwar, and let it not count? And in some wise a stallwar or somewhat like this is seeable when Spiritomb + Skarmory + Blissey are using.. you should know, that i couldn't help it that this first good battle turns into a boring stallwar.

As I said via VM, SkarmBliss is obsolete in this generation. Not many people use it, and its far more difficult to use it well. And I know that in the end, a Calm Mind Suicune will usually always out-stall a Blissey. That's why I called it quits.

I won't go any further in this, as I want to avoid flaming, but I'll say that it's in my opening post (where I state my rules) that everything is made crystal clear.

Oh, and it's a loss for me. I won't fight that. haha, it ended in a stall war, but I still lost.
