Town/Region of Origin: Ecruteak city, Johto
Appearance: Towering at 6'0" in height, Chris stands out in a crowd. Untidy jet black hair covers his head. On a typical day, Chris usually wears a red t-shirt, black jacket, and black jeans. Both ears are pierced with silver hoops, and around his neck, Chris wears a Sharpedo tooth necklace.
Personality: Chris is typically a good humored teen. At times he can be a bit short tempered and irritable, but he rarely remains like that for long. He has a bad habit of being a bit sarcastic, and occasionally this causes him to get into fights. His rash behavior doesn't help his cause, either. Chris's most defining trait is his complete loyalty to his Pokémon and his friends, and how he often puts their wellbeing over his.

    Name: Leroy Fairforce
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
Codename (used for communication during missions): La Fuerza
Reason they were chosen to join W.P.A: Part of the reason Fairforce got to join this highly skilled organization is became from a high family background. His mother, Susan Fairforce, was an elite Pokemon trainer, winning 2 Pokemon Leagues (Sinnoh and Kanto). She also defeated the battle frontier. In addition, his mother took Volkner's place as an Electric gym leader. His dad, Cornelius Fairforce, was a pretty good trainer, scoring 16th, 20th, 8th, and 4th (Sinnoh, Johto, Kanto, Hoenn) in the Pokemon league. He is currently a professor of PokeTech University in Cinnabar Island.

The second part of the reason is because he was a great kid himself. He excelled in trainers school, making it to the coveted National Pokemon Academy for the gifted young students. He then excelled in Pokemon, scoring 8th, 4th, then 1st in 3 Pokemon Leagues (The Honor League, composed of returning students after their first years, the Johto, and the Sinnoh, respectively.

    Name: Ylva Summers
    Age(15-19): 17
    Gender: Female
Codename (used for communication during missions): "She-Wolf"
Reason they were chosen to join W.P.A: Ylva is champ at the Pyrite Colloseum, Orre Colloseum and got to the 90's in Mt. Battle
Town/ region of origin: Pyrite Town.
Appearance: Ylva is 5 foot seven inches and is of medium build. Her skin is rough, has a tan to it and has a few muscles underneath. Her eyes are small and a light green color to her round head. Her hair is red and goes down to her shoulders. She wears a white tank-top with a red vest over top of it. She has one long, white shorts with silver streaks going down the sides. She has on white shoes with very light, white socks. Ylva also has a long necklace with a silver, howling Arcanine on the end and a tattoo of a tribal Suicune on the back of her left calf.
Personality (Again, 4-6 sentences): Ylva is very cocky and loves to brag about her accomplishments. She believes that she can defeat pretty much anyone, anytime, anyplace. Not that she doesn't have the resume to prove this, Ylva still has of course gotten into trouble more then once because of her big mouth. It also doesn't really help that she doesn't really care much about people on the whole. She has a much easier time getting along with Pokemon, hence her battling skills. However, due to growing up on the rough side of Pyrite Town, Ylva has a very strong sense of justice and will do what she can to bring it about when she can.

Personality: Fire Mane (or Mane as his trainer usually calls him) is exteremely loyal to his trainer, almost to a fault. Though this is not unusal to his species, he feels even more close to his traienr due to their mutual sense of justice. Mane also cares for other Pokemon and can often handle people better then Ylva. He is always out with her unless he absolutely has to be in a ball (aka, the space she's about to enter is too small).

    Name: Spiked Fist
    Species: Lucario
    Gender: Male
Attacks: Aura Sphere, Extereme Speed, Crunch, Magnet Rise
Personality: Spiked Fist (or Spike as his trainer usually calls him) is a very quiet Lucario who almost never says much. He also doesn't really interact with Pokemon or people that much and can often be seen by himself. He is only really close to Mane and Ylva and is very loyal to them. He will do what he can to help and protect them. However, he will barely glance at another who maybe in danger unless his trainer tells him to help them.

A quite riveting zombie movie, that starred Will Smith!(Get it? I am legend?)

    Name:
    Will Sydney

    Age:
    17

    Gender:
    Male

    Codename:
    Motherboard

Reason they were chosen to join W.P.A:
He has an exceptional knowledge base as pertains to pokemon, due to years spent studying with pokemon professors. He is very adept with technology, ergo his codename motherboard. He also is in general very intelligent, and is good at problem solving, and reading people.

    Town/Region of origin:
    Oldale Town, Hoenn

    Appearance:
Will is exceptionally scrawny. He stands a mere 5'1" tall, and weighs just over 100 pounds. He lacks any real muscle mass, failing at even the smallest of tasks related to physical exertion. His face is pristine, lacking any blemish or imperfection, adding to his young appearance. His hair is a light brown and falls flat, lacking any volume whatsoever. His skin tone is very light, and he never tans.

Will's usual outfit is polo shirt with an unpopped collar, and khaki pants. He wears a pair of green tinted goggles on his forehead, specially modified with magnifying lenses.

Personality: Will can be very loud and obnoxious. He speaks his beliefs as if they were law, and refuses to accept opposing beliefs, with rare exception. At most points, he is fairly oblivious to what's happening around him. He often asks people to repeat what they say, because he doesn't quite catch it the first time. He isn't slow though, quite the opposite. Will is exceptionally intelligent feeding his ego. At most times Will is fairly stable, but he can go off on emotional tangents with moderate ease.

History: Will was born in Petalburg city, to lower class parents who couldn't afford to raise him. He was given to a old couple in Oldale town shortly after his birth to take care of him. He spent much of his early childhood in isolation, being stuck in a small town with no other young children. When he turned ten, his was given the liberty to visit Littleroot Town, so he could play with children there.

It was in Littleroot town, that he discovered professor Birch's lab. He ended up spending most of his afternoons watching the researchers in Birch's lab. He was amazed by the researcher's studies, and wanted to learn all about them. He asked alot of questions of the researchers, and learned a lot. After a while of this, Professor Birch began taking an interest in Will.

Will was taken on as an apprentice researcher. He read many books on pokemon behaviors and the like. After a couple years, Will's natural talent for technology showed, when an expensive piece of technology broke down. After a little while working on it, Will miraculously got it up and running again, impressing all the researchers. As a thanks for his dedication, on Will's Thirteenth birthday, Will was given the gift of his first pokemon: A Treecko he named "Blade".

As Will got older he did more field research, going farther and farther from his home. During one such bout of research when Will was fifteen, he met a adventurous trainer named Alecia. She managed to convince Will to go with her to tour the Hoenn region. Will said goodbye to professor Birch, and set out with Alecia. As Alecia collected gym badges, Will did research on the different areas of Hoenn. While heading through the dessert, Will was attacked by a territorial Trapinch. While in the battle, his Treecko evolved into a Grovyle. After the fight, Will observed an odd coloration in the Trapinich, and decided to catch it for further observation.

As they progressed further into the Hoenn region, Will grew closer to both his pokemon and Alecia. Currently, he is in Evergrande City, because Alecia is participating in the pokemon league.

  • I Am Legend.

    Name:

    Rain Snappers

    Age:
    17

    Gender:
    Female

    Codename:
    Storm

Reason they were chosen to join W.P.A:
Rain is strong, but that's not all there is to her. She's also extremely driven. When she was young, she and Kemp dedicated their lives to entering and winning the pokemon league. Even after catching Delilah, the trio only made it to 3rd place, but after a year of extreme training, along with a visit and defeat of the entire elite four, the group felt ready to go back to the tournament again and won 1st. With their goal accomplished, the group settled down and offered their services to helping young trainers and giving them tips on training their pokemon. One day, while Rain was helping a new trainer to start training with her Charmander, Cerulean was attacked by Team Rocket. In the end, Rain managed to save the girl and drive away the intruding Rockets, which attracted the initial attention of the W.P.A. Closer inspection revealed to the W.P.A. Rain's interactions with the young trainers and unveiled Rain's pure heart and willingness to work with pokemon, as opposed to simply using them as tools of battle and destruction. Rain has never pushed Delilah and Kemp to do anything they didn't want to, and in turn they have offered her support and hard work in a way that never would have come from being forced. Because of this, she has always taught her pupils to be kind to pokemon, and treat others kindly. In this way, Rain was further supported for induction by the W.P.A. through the quality of her heart and the strength she draws from her team, both physically and emotionally.

    Town/ Region of origin:
    Cerulean/Kanto

    Appearance:
Rain is average height, standing at 5'7 and Caucasian. She has short brown hair with chunky blond highlights and choppy layers that end at the base of her neck. Her eyes are her most prominent feature, taking up much of her face and shining a light blue. Rain's favorite part of her body is her legs, which are long and slim, but also muscular from her training with Kemp and Delilah. Her stomach is flat, but not toned, and two small love handles grace her sides from her love for snack food, despite her constant training. Her mouth is usually in a small smile, though that can change easily to a grin of determination, or a frown of concentration.

Rain generally wears a short checkered dress, light blue and white in color, with black underarmor underneath, and white tennis shoes with white heel socks. When she's running or physically training with Kemp and Delilah (running for the most part), she'll wear a blue t-shirt and large black mesh running shorts with grey tennis shoes and white heel socks. She owns a ratty brown backpack that she's had since she and Kemp first set out; she considers it her good luck charm, and has stitched her name, along with Delilah and Kemp's name and corresponding pokemon patches onto the bag.

    Personality:
Rain can be disorganized, and it is usually up to Kemp to keep her straight on what their plans are. She and Kemp have been together for a very long time, and she has grown more attached to him than anyone else in her life. Rain is very driven, but her disorganization can frustrate her sometimes, and she is thankful that Kemp is always nearby, so much so that she typically keeps him out of his ball. Delilah is another matter. Due to her initial unwillingness to be on the team, she remained in her ball for much time before she became dedicated and safe to allow out unattended. Thanks to this, she has become used to and actually prefers staying in her ball during travel, unless they are home, in which case Rain is happy to let both her pokemon free to walk. Rain believes that hard work and dedication to what you hope to do is important, but doesn't believe you should force others to do what you say in order to succeed. Instead, she hopes to teach others how she managed to succeed through teamwork and willingness to listen to the needs and wants of your teammates. Rain was under the disillusion for a long time in her life that regardless of what others say, success is needed to gain respect. Her goal for pursuing first in the pokemon league was initially shallow—the acceptance of her peers and family. As she and Kemp traveled and saw the ways in which others treated their pokemon, the disillusion evolved into a scheme of sorts—to gain success, but in this case in order to show people the ability to succeed with teamwork as opposed to pure training and demands. Kemp agreed to help her on this, and reminds her of it whenever he can, knowing that she's a bit of an airhead. While not as much of a girly girl as Delilah, she does enjoy cute and pretty things, and hopes to find love in her life one day. Some say she's a bit of a hopeless romantic, but if she were to hear that, Rain would probably blush and deny it profusely.

    Kemp
    Species:
    Charizard
    Gender:
    Male
    Attacks:
Fly, Flamethrower, Fire Fang, Dragon Claw
    Personality:
Kemp is the organized member of the team. He is usually the one who ends up corralling Rain's spacey thoughts and urging the team to push harder, much to Delilah's subtle distaste. Seeing as he's unable to talk, this is a bit of a feat for him. Nevertheless, he is respected by both the girls, and is proud of his strength. He thinks Delilah is a drama queen, but loves her like a sister. He will not tolerate hearing anyone talk bad about his family (Rain and Delilah) and will flip out on anyone heard doing so. At night he sleeps with Rain, as he is really a big baby around her, despite his strength. He is vicious in battle, slipping into a new personality mode in which winning and/or protecting Rain is the only outcome he can stand.

    Name:
    Delilah
    Species:
    Clefable
    Gender:
    Female
    Attacks:
    Metronome, Ice Punch, Sing, Thunder
    Personality:
Delilah was second on the team, caught by Rain as a young Clefairy. She thought herself much to powerful to ever be caught, and even after suffering defeat by Kemp and being caught by Rain, she continued to live under the delusion that she was simply caught off guard. It took her quite a long time to get used to Rain and Kemp, as they already had a borderline telepathic connection upon meeting her. One night, after Kemp had fallen asleep, Delilah had sat up with Rain and listened to her talk of how she longed to return home a champion of the pokemon league and help the young trainers succeed at whatever they chose to do. Delilah had been so moved she'd vowed then and there to help Rain however she could, and was even more pumped when soon after they found a Moon Stone and were able to evolve her. She still loses her temper with Kemp and Rain sometimes, because she doesn't feel she should have to train as much, seeing as she's already an amazing fighter (in her mind), but she always comes around and realizes that her actions need to be for the team, and not for herself specifically. A girly girl at heart, Delilah loves to pick flowers and string together necklaces when they aren't training. After returning home, she made a habit of grooming and bathing herself every day, and likes to wear a dark pink bow in her curl.

  • Wow... I dont visit this site for 24 hours, and I'm swamped with applications. I'm not sure if I should be happy or overwhelmed...

EDIT: Everyone accepted. Weiss, I think I can slip you in as a wild card (sorry that I didn't check the Rp yesterday to see your post). Wild card characters come from the Pokemon Ranger regions (fiore/almia)
or if anyone knows where the black & white games will take place, that works too.

  • ((Second person from Hoenn? You mean Kanto? I'm the only Hoenn(And right glad no one stole mah region!).))

((To save posts, I'm going to use this post for my intro in a minute.))

Will flipped his PokeNav closed after reading the message. It was an interesting proposal and he had already made up his mind. This was an opportunity he couldn't afford to give up, something that would never occur again for him. He quietly mumbled incoherent words to himself as he thought.

Alecia glanced at him, with a slightly puzzled expression on her face. "Something wrong?" She asked in a sweet voice.

Will shook his head, "No," he stated in a serious tone, "But I have a bit of an adventure of my own I have to set out on."

Alecia frowned, "You sure?" She asked, a hint of melancholy in her voice, "We're getting close to the finals, and now you have to leave? Haven't we worked hard enough for you to see the fruits of our labors?"

Will sighed, and looked at the ground, "I haven't worked at all to train your pokemon, or battle with them," he stated, "You know you can do this without me. I have to go to Saffron for some important business." He turned and began to walk away.

Alecia ran after him and hugged him, Will blushed heavily. "Be back soon..." She said.

After she released him, will pulled out a pokeball, and released his Flygon from within, "I'll try my hardest," he stated, before mounting Ace, and flying off into the horizon.

    ((I like drama))

After a fairly long flight, Will arrived in Saffron. He dismounted Ace and began looking around, a hint of confusion on his face. He had released something important. The message only said Saffron, meaning he had NO IDEA where he should be. He looked around a few more seconds before flagging down a civilian.

"Sir do you know where-," he cut off, realizing his stupidity. The W.P.A. must be a fairly secretive organization, they wiped his entire PokeNav memory just to make sure their message wasn't seen. It's ridiculous to believe a random passerby would have any knowledge about them. "Never mind sir," he finished before walking away.

He ended up just leaning against the nearest building, the Sliph Co. building, waiting for something to happen. It was quite boring. He wished he spent a little more time back in Hoenn since they wouldn't be meeting for a little while.

((Was that lack of info intentional?))

Actually, if Weiss doesn't join, I can just edit out the Wildcard position
And yes, the lack of info was intentional. On the bright side, your leaning against the right building...))

Chris gave his pokegear one final irritated glance before shoving it into his backpack. Ever since he had gotten that bizarre message, the thing started malfunctioning, becoming useless. What the heck was the W.P.A anyways? As if that wasn't weird enough, when Chris tried to buy a one-way ticket for the magnet train, he recieved a prepaid ticket before he could even pull out his wallet. Nobody at the ticket sales booth could track the sale, leaving Chris to wonder what was going on during his trip.

When the train finally stopped in Saffron city, Chris hopped out immediately. Walking away from the train station, Chris looked around at the skyscrapers surrounding him. The message never explained to him where he was supposed to meet this so called L. Ivory, just that he was supposed to go to Saffron city. Oh well, he'd just have to search on foot for the W.P.A. After all, how hard could it be to find the headquarters of a secret organization inside a crowded city?

Thirty minutes later, Chris was standing outside the Silph Co building. Groaning in frustration, he leaned up against the wall of the building. Next to him, a teenage boy that appeared to be a year or two younger than Chris-if not younger- leaned against the wall in a bored manner. Poor kid, I wonder what his problem is?

    Meanwhile...
    L. Ivory leaned back in a chair, glancing at a nearby wall clock in the process. 7:35pm. The recruits were late. L. was sitting in a conference room. Sis empty sears surrounded a rectangular, oak table that streched from one end of the room to the other. With a sigh, L. Ivory pressed a nearby intercom button.
    "Any sign of them?"
"No, sir. The security cameras haven't picked up any sign of the recruits... hold on... Correction, sir. Two of the recruits are standing outside of the building. Shall we allow them in?"
A cruel smile crossed L's face. "Yes. It would be nice of them to drop in..."

Chris was about to leave, and continue his search elsewhere, when the sound of whirring machinery caught his attention. Suddenly, the side walk beneath Chris and the other teenager slid away, revealing a gaping hole beneath them. With a startled shout, Chris fell into the pit beneath him.

    "Oof!"
Chris groaned as he picked himself up off the ground. That was completely weird. One moment he was standing out on the streets. Next thing he knew, he was falling down a hole into what appeared to be a... conference room? At the far end of the room, a middle aged, blonde haired woman gazed at him from behind square rimmed glasses.
"Chris Knight, correct? Welcome to the W.P.A headquarters. I'm Lucinda Ivory."

  • ((I would doubt Chris would think that Will is anywhere near his age. As stated in my SU, Will appears to be much younger than he is due to being scrawny, short, and other appearance traits. I'd put his assumed age at about 12 or 13.))

((Oh and Charzeon's character is YLva Summers, not YIva.))

As the floor slid out Will clung to the edge of the building in order not to fall in. He took a moment to analyze his situation. The floor just opened up to a pit below, leading to two likely possibilities. Either A) It was what he had been looking for, or B) It was someone trying to kill him.

As he glanced into the hole to looked at the boy who had fallen in. He didn't appear distressed, and there were no grunts swarming him. Will's pitiful strength was giving out, so he opted to assume it was situation A.

Will released his grip on the edge of the Sliph Co. building, and landed more or less on his feet in the room below. He took a moment to observe his surroundings, it was a relatively empty conference room. Only three people were in the room: Will, the other boy, and a unfamiliar woman. He pulled out his PokeNav, and observed it's clock. It was 7:37. He quickly came to the conclusion he was in the right place.

"I assume you are Dr. L. Ivory," he stated glancing at the woman, "and this is where the party is happening." He grinned as he finished the statement, and slipped his PokeNav into his pocket.

  • ((*sighs*.... That's what I get for writing an english essay, while typing a post :(

Multi-tasking sucks.... but I did edit out those mistakes...))

    L. Ivory gave the two boys a distracted nod. "And you two are late. 7:30pm means 7:30pm! But I suppose it can't be helped.... Go ahead, take a seat. The others will be here shortly. In the mean time allow me to introduce you two. Chris Knight, meet Will Sydney. Will Sydney, meet Chris Knight."
Chris gave Will a brief nod and a quick smile before taking his seat. Meanwhile, L. Ivory surveyed the two boys briefly. Out of the all the recruits, Will scored one of the highest-if not the highest- in an IQ test. Chris on the other hand, had the lowest score. Not that he was stupid, though. Chris' IQ was in the 140s, an above average score for a human being.

"So," L began in a pleasant tone, "do either of you have any questions while we wait for your fellow recruits?"

Chris raised his hand, "Uhh, yeah. Any particular reason as to why your message fried my pokegear?"

A smile crossed L's face. "After years of working in the recruitment office of the W.P.A, I've noticed that certain teenage boys tend to be braggarts. Send them a voice message stating that they've been chosen to join the W.P.A, and they show off the message to all their friends. I'm sorry your pokegear had to go through an untimely demise, but I'm pretty sure the fate of the world's top military defense agency is a bit more important than a $50 piece of electronics. Any other questions? Chris? Will?"

  • Will sat down and leaned back a bit, his chair's front legs lifted about a half foot off the ground, the chair's weight entirely focused on the back legs.

"Well I would've been here a whole lot sooner but you chose to omit some important specifics from your message," he stated.

He pulled out his PokeNav again impatiently. He had it back up and running, though some pretty invaluable data was wiped from the disk, not to mention sentimental items like pictures stored. Will began fiddling with device smiling a slight smile. He typed a small bit before tucking the PokeNav away.

"Would you like me to take a look at your PokeGear?" He asked, "I'm not quite as experienced with them as PokeNavs, but I've fiddled with Alecia's one more than one occasion." He held out his hand happily.

  • L. Ivory smiled knowingly. "Do you really think that the world's top secret agency would give away such confidential information to a bunch of teenagers? Besides, you made it here, didn't you?" Chris gave her a puzzeled look. "If you don't trust us, then why recruit us in the first place?" "Unfortunately, that question will have to wait until the others arrive." L. explained, "until then, allow me to remind you that trust has to be earned." Chris shrugged before pulling his pokegear out of his backpack, and then sliding it across the table to Will. "If you want to tinker with this thing, be my guest. I've never been tech savvy enough to fix even the slightest bug in the system, but if you can, go ahead."

  • Ylva grunted as she slide her body down into the hole. She hung there in a little bit before dropping the last few inches to the ground. The girl took a step back and looked up at the floor above her. Sure enough a large, fluffy canine face poked through the opening and whimpered slightly. Ylva smiled slightly and reached a hand up to brush the Arcanine's nose.

"Hey, don't worry about it big guy," the girl said with a smile and took out the large dog's Pokeball. "I just need to see what this mysterious person needs and then I'll let you out as soon as there is room. Got it Fire Mane?"

Mane whimpered some more before a red light shot out from the ball and took the Arcanine back with it. Ylva then turned around and looked around. It was only then that she realized that she hadn't alone when talking with Fire Mane. There was a younger boy, an older boy and a woman also in the room. Ylva grinned and stuck one hand into her pocket while jerking her thumb behind her.

"Loyal Pokemon, what are you going to do with them?" She asked with a chuckle.

  • ((Sorry it took me so long to write my intro. It's just that all of a sudden you two were writing like crazy, and it threw me off cuz I didn't wanna interrupt. >w> Lame excuse. Promise I'll do better coach! (Intros are just always so boring to write, lulz)))

Rain was out coaching a young girl the best ways to train her charmander to attack moving targets with flame moves when the message arrived. She flipped open her PokeNav, read the text in a short moment, and three beeps later Rain found herself blinking down at a blank screen. The young girl and her charmander stood not far off, staring at her expectantly.

Rain considered the situation for a moment. Friday was a day off, and Saffron wasn't far from Cerulean at all. In fact, at night the lights from the city could be seen blotting out the stars in the Southeast. Rain quickly went back to helping the girl, pushing the message from her mind until later in the evening.

That night, she reported the note to Delilah and Kemp. Together, the three decided that while helping others learn about their pokemon was important work to them, it sounded like this group could really use their help to spread peace and help police the world, and being able to protect those they was equally as important as teaching them. There was that, and the fact that after about five months at home, the trio had become unexpectedly stir-crazy. None of them wanted to admit it, as they had in truth been enjoying their daily one-on-ones and group meetings with the young trainers of the town, but they'd all been looking for a chance to get back out on the trail for a while. Excitement was something you became used to as a traveling trainer.

So that evening, Rain packed, and the next morning she and Kemp went about to inform her family and unofficial students of her upcoming departure and absence. Everyone was upset to here she'd be leaving, especially so suddenly, but she told them all an important mission had come up, and they all seemed to understand. It broke her heart to say goodbye to the children, especially the young girl she'd been working with the day before. The girl and her charmander reminded Rain so much of Kemp and herself, and she had grown very close to the two.

It was early evening when Rain finally left. Delilah got into her ball, and Rain secured the ratty brown backpack on her back before hopping on Kemp. He flapped hard twice before rising, and with a final pump they gained distance from the ground and rose into the pale blue sky.

About an hour later, and they were in Saffron. It was a leisurely flight for the most part, as few flying pokemon dared to mess with a charizard, and the chances of meeting another trainer who wanted battle were slim to none. Along the way, Rain had plenty of time to worry about what she was getting herself into. This W.P.A. seemed a bit too mysterious for her taste. They had, after all, deleted their own message off her PokeNav, giving her only enough time to barely read it before destroying all evidence of its existence, along with, she had found later that evening, her entire calendar and a plethora of pictures and songs, as well as destroying the phone and navigation systems. And just how long did this group need her for? From the note, Rain got the feeling it wasn't exactly a day-long project.

As Saffron neared, the currently most problematic conundrum connected to the W.P.A.'s secrecy dawned on Rain. Saffron was a big place—where was she supposed to meet this Dr. Ivory? And what was the Dr.? A man? A woman? A pokemon? Rain shook her head in frustration, shifting her legs on Kemp's back. The charizard rumbled beneath her, sensing his trainer's agitation and agreeing with it. He wasn't any happier about being in the dark as Rain, but he was excited to be stretching his wings and going on a journey after so long.

Rain had been to Saffron a few times, so she knew her way around the town. It seemed the best place to go to get any information would be the PokeCenter. She landed Kemp down outside, prompting some looks from people on the sidewalks. She grinned around at the people sheepishly. Even after winning the League, she wasn't used to people gawking at her. Kemp, on the other hand, was enjoying it. He stood tall on his hind legs, stretching out his arms and wings with an exaggerated growl, prompting some gasps and ahh's from the gawkers.

Finally he settled down, leaning forward to listen to Rain. She stood stretching her legs a moment before she spoke to him.

"Stay out here," she said, moving towards the PokeCenter, "I'll be right out."

She wandered in, and upon questioning the nurses on the latest odd-happenings in Saffron, Rain found that nothing out of the ordinary had been happening. Given Saffron's reputation, this was a bit surprising in and of itself. Rain wandered back out to Kemp with a shrug, and they began to meander about the town, searching for anything out of the ordinary. They spotted two street performers and a pack of wild meowth in the alley before Rain became frustrated and flipped open her PokeNav to check the clock—the only thing that still seemed to work.

"Ugh," she moaned. "We're already almost 10 minutes late, unless the darn W.P.A. messed up my clock too!"

Kemp brought his head down to rest on her shoulder, and she absentmindedly pet him, staring into space at the old Sliph Co. building. Her eyes came to rest on a rather handsome arcanine, seemingly standing by itself in front of the building, looking happily down at the ground. All at once, the creature disappeared in a flash of red. Rain's eyes grew two sizes.

    "Did you see that Kemp?"

Beside her, his massive head bobbed up and down against her shoulder. Rain released Kemp's head and jogged over quickly to where the arcanine had just been. Kemp stomped along behind her, and as she neared the spot, Rain saw a hole in the sidewalk slip into view. She peered cautiously over the edge, and saw nothing inside but the bottom of the hole farther down. The hole itself was a bit small—much too small to fly down into on Kemp. She heard voices inside, and so she strained her ears to listen. It sounded like a woman, or maybe two women, and at least one boy.

Well, his seemed pretty darn mysterious to her. W.P.A. was written all over this. With a nod at Kemp, she peered back over the edge, before calling down into the hole.

"Hello? Can anyone down there tell me where to find Dr. Ivory?"

    L. Ivory raise an eyebrow in surprise at the two newcomers. Apparently the guards on duty hadn't closed the trapdoor... She'd deal with them later. Right now, she had two newcomers to introduce.
"Ylva Summers, and Rain Snappers, correct? Four down, one to go. Allow me to introduce myself as Lucinda Ivory. In the future, try to be on time." She smiled in an uncharacteristically friendly manner.

Chris gave the other recruits a brief nod. "While we're making introductions, I'm Chris Knight, and the kid over there is Will Sydney."

"Well girls, go ahead and sit down whever you please. We've only got one more recruit to wait for before this meeting begins. In the mean time, do either of you have any questions?" L. Ivory concluded.

  • I guess, Rain thought to herself, I'm in the right place.

She turned to Kemp. He wasn't going to fit through the hole. She frowned, before pulling the ball off her belt and pressing the button. With a low growl, Kemp vanished in a flash of red.

Rain hopped into the hole, landing deftly a few feet down. The two boys, Will and Chris, were sitting. In the middle of the room was the owner of the voice. She was older than any of them, and very pretty. A friendly smile sat on her lips. Rain was surprised to find herself smiling back. Next to her stood a girl. She guessed this was Ylva.

What a pretty name, Rain thought to herself. She realized she was standing there grinning like a fool, staring into space at Ylva for just a moment too long, before turning to look at Dr. Ivory.

"Uh... well sorry I was late," she sputtered, "But we had no clue where to go..."

Her grin turned into a frown as her voice trailed off. Obviously, no one here cared why she was late. She was here now. She wandered over and sat down quietly in a chair.

"Yes," she said quietly, looking down at her hands, then looking up to pan around the room, her gaze resting ultimately on Dr. Ivory's eyes, "I'm Rain Snappers."

  • ((Tired of waiting on Musician of Literature... Let's continue))

    L. Ivory met Rain's gaze for a few moments before continuing. "Alright, I assume you all realize why you were summoned here today?"

"Hmmm, I don't know, it couldn't have possibly involved those bizarre messages we recieved..." Chris answered sarcastically. He was not in the mood to listen to L's entire rant. All he wanted was the straight truth.

"Exactly. Each of you recieved a message ordering you to come to the W.P.A headquarters in Saffron city. Well, welcome to the Worldiwide Protection Agency's headquarters." L, Ivory explained. "And no, Silph Co. is an actual corporation, but it doubles as an alibi for our agency. In fact, some of are top agents even work for Silph Co's technology department. Anywyas, that's not my point. The point is, that our secret agency was looking for new recruits to be trained as agents. After researching into the backgrounds of thousands of potential agents, you were all chosen to be recruited."

Chris gave her a puzzled look. "And exactly why were we chosen? No offense, this is all very flattering, but I'd like a better explanation than 'you are highly qualified'..."

    L. Ivory shrugged. "Fine by me. Since you asked, Chris, we can show the compiled clips we have of you first."

From her back pocket, L produce a small remote. After clicking the top left button, the wall behind her lit up like a giant television screen. From a projector attached to the ceiling, a video shown down on the wall. The video portrayed a fifteen year-old version of Chris Knight, dressed in a martial arts uniform, a black belt tied around his waist. Chris instantly recognized this video from the final round of a Judo competition he had participated in three years ago. In the video, his opponent launched himself at Chris, trying to pin him. Immediately Chris dodged the attack, before grabbing his opponent, and throwing him over his shoulder with the 'Osoto-gari' technique. Before his adversary could move, Chris wrapped an arm around his head, pinning the rest of his foes body down with his body. As soon as the fight had started, it was over. Chris helped his opponent up before recieving a gold trophy. The screen went blank as the video ended.

"Chris Knight. Blackbelt in Judo, and 2nd degree blackbelt in Taekwondo. Holds multiple trophies for these sports, all eight Johto gym badges, and the title of runner-up position in the 2008 Pokemon League Championships," L. Ivory continued, this time reading information from a sheet of paper that had been lying on a stack of papers next to her seat. "As for intellect, Chris scored a 140 on an IQ test, and past all classes with good grades... well, outside of Technology Education, Algebra and World History..." She scanned the rest of the room. "Anyone else want an explanation. Will? Ylva? Rain?"

  • Ylva raised her eyebrow as the professor talked about Chris' achiments. She gave a low whistle before chuckling to herself. "Nice one there, Chris, right?" The girl said, crossing her arms over her chest. "Brains as well a brawns, eh? Bet you and my grandad would get along real well. Always wanted me to spend more time in the class room then in the desert."

The girl chuckled again and looked at L. Ivory. Ylva had to admit that she was even more interested in what this organization was all about then before. Of course, that could be because she was kind of pissed off at them deleting her Pokegear's memory. Not that it was hard to get it back, just annoying. However, hearing what this Chris guy did and hearing that the other people in the room were 'highly qualified' as he was, she was now also interested in why the others had been brought here.

So, with a grin, Ylva asked, "Alright doc, lay it on me. Why did you guys bring me into this thing? And it better make it good. I've got a few noobs I need to beat into the sand.""

  • Will leaned back casually, absorbing all that occurred around him. He saw it fit to respond at this moment.

"Shall we discuss the mission now? My friend is in the pokemon league back in Hoenn. I want to finish this op as quickly as possible so I can get back there to see her win," he stated briefly focusing himself on Dr. Ivory.

He then looked around the room to consider his observations. The squad was... Interesting. A badass chick who seems to like beating things into the ground, a pretty little girl who wears checkered dresses, and appears unable to hurt a fly, and this Chris, who seems like quite the musclehead, but appears to have some general knowledge. They would all need further observation.
