    Team in detail

[PokeCommunity.com] RMT much? (Evil OU Sandstorm Team)

    Hippowdon @ Leftovers
    Sand Stream
    Impish nature (+Def, -SpA)
    HP 252/ Atk 188/ SpD 68
    ~ Slack Off
    ~ Earthquake
    ~ Ice Fang
    ~ Stealth Rock

A slow but a defensively strong lead with Earthquake and Ice Fang has great coverage. Provides the Sandstorm for the members that need it in the team.

    Rhyperior @ Choice Band
    Solid Rock
    Careful nature (+SpD, -SpA)
    Atk 252/ SpD 4/ Spe 252
    ~ Stone Edge
    ~ Earthquake
    ~ Aqua Tail
    ~ Fire Punch

With the power of the Sandstorm it unleashes its inner beast with 50% more special defence (with its careful nature and EVs added) it raises up to 240 making this harder to takedown.

    Vaporeon @ Leftovers
    Water Absorb
    HP 188/SpA 68/Def 252
    Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
    ~ Wish
    ~ Surf
    ~ Ice Beam
    ~ Hidden Power [Electric]

Walls all sorts of attacks and drinks up all the water, it takes out what it can
with Surf and Ice Beam. Provides Wish support. HP Electric for Gyarados and such.

[PokeCommunity.com] RMT much? (Evil OU Sandstorm Team)

    Gengar @ Choice Scarf
    Levitate
    HP 4/SpA 252/Spe 252
    Modest nature (+SpA, -Atk)
    ~ Shadow Ball
    ~ Focus Blast
    ~ Thunderbolt
    ~ Hidden Power [Ice]

Scarfgar the revenge killer, fast and powerful!

[PokeCommunity.com] RMT much? (Evil OU Sandstorm Team)

    Scizor @ Life Orb
    Technician
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SpA)
    HP 84/ Atk 252/ Spe 172
    ~ Sword Dance
    ~ Bullet Punch
    ~ X-Scissor
    ~ Roost

Bullet Punch made Scizor what it is and as it is a priority move and I only
have one other attack I chose to invest the standard set's speed EVs into HP.

[PokeCommunity.com] RMT much? (Evil OU Sandstorm Team)

    Tyranitar @ Expert Belt
    Sand Stream
    Quiet nature (+SpA, -Spe)
    HP 100/ Atk 128/ SpA 252/ Spe 28
    ~ Dark Pulse
    ~ Super Power
    ~ Fire Blast
    ~ Ice Beam

Mixtar over Mixmence for me anyday, doesn't have the speed but instead a very sturdy beast.
I thought up this set with the EVs and nature boosting its quite high special attack to
a very high level to support a STAB Dark Pulse.

The problem with 90% of Sandstorm teams that rely on Vaporeon is that once Vappy dies, the entire team just...falls to pieces. Using Wish may seem as if Vaporeon will stay around for long, but it actually won't. In fact, that spread you use takes a beastly minimum of 49.55% from a Life Orb Gyarados's Earthquake/Stone Edge. That means it will never defeat Gyarados one on one, and let's face it, if Vaporeon goes down, this team has problems with Gyarados. ScarfGar is a decent check, but with the abundance of Pursuit users such as Scizor and Tyranitar who take nothing from Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt, your means of Defense will crumble in due time.

For these reason, I highly implore you to use Max HP / Max Def on Vaporeon, and add Protect over Ice Beam in order to better handle Gyarados. You may wonder what a little more HP does, but it brings the minimum of a +1 LO Earthquake/Stone Edge from Gyarados 49.55%, to 47.84%. That may seem miniscule, but it can make all the difference. Protect also lets you gain Lefties (though with the annoying Sandstorm, it won't be of much benefit).

I'd go Timid on Scarf Gengar. It outruns Dragon Dance Gyarados and Tyranitar even if they decide to Dance twice, always a good added benefit. The drop in power is unnoticable in most circumstances. As for Rhyperior, Megahorn over Fire Punch is the best option, as the standard Bronzong is always 2HKO'd, even after Leftovers damage (61.54% minimum). Megahorn also dents Cresselia and Celebi harder then Stone Edge/Megahorn respectively. Also, that spread is terrible. If you're opting for a tankish Rhyperior, ResTalk is superior. Otherwise, Max Attack and Max Speed @ Adamant is the best spread.

As for Tyranitar, since this team seems to be on the slow yet bulky side, a Tyraniboah could be an ideal choice for you team, since I've found it to work better if you solely want to use Tyranitar. Still, you can use "Super" Tyraniboah if you feel it works better for you. I'll post the standard Tyraniboah just for your viewing pleasure =]

    Tyranitar @ Leftovers
    Quiet
    252 HP/52 Att/176 SpA/28 Spe
    Substitute
    Focus Punch
    Dark Pulse/Crunch
    Ice Beam/Flamethrower

Kills Blissey, Gliscor, Hippowdon, Skarmory, Donphan, etc...A nice wall breaker that can either use Dark Pulse or Crunch. If using Crunch, Brave is an option over Quiet to boost both Focus Punch and Crunch.

Taking away from Rhyperior's attack power is stupid. Besides, your EV spread is not very efficient as Adamant @ 11 Atk / 252 Spd / 60 SDef nets you the same stats but with 80 EVs left over.

either way, you should be using Adamant with max attack and speed. This isn't a defensive Rhyperior so putting in the extra effort to make it "bulky when it still folds to the common Surf and even Ice Beam is not worth your time.

LO Starmie and waters in general bug you a lot. Suicune is especially troublesome since ScarfGar can't revenge kill it.

I just am having trouble seeing this team working given its shortcomings, especially when you're relying on the unreliable ScarfGar to get a lot of revenge kills on stuff that otherwise 6-0s your team. I have a feeling that Blissey over Rhyperior will solve a lot of your problems.

Watch out for Scizor though, as after a SD, nothing on your team really stops it at all.

EDIT: Vance is largely right about Vaporeon though it applies to Gengar as well. Overall it's a defensive mess without enough power to make up for it.

So, how are you gonna handle standard SD Scizor? Your only defense against it is Rhyperior who takes : -

    88.95% - 105.39% from a + 2 LO Bullet Punch, which is 97.04% damage on average.

Hippowdon cant take x-scissors or boosted hits from anything on the standard SD set and gets outdamaged due to Roost, same with vappy.

A Scarf Heat Rotom could go over Gengar i feel with max speed / max sp.att @ Timid @ Overheat/HP fight or Trick/Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt.

Hp fight is for pursuit users namely CB Tar who seems to like coming in on Heat Tom, but trick could be used to cripple zapdos and what not, which your team does have trouble with especially hp grass versions.

    Team is a failure
