Ok. Usually when I make a team it has a thousand weakness' and only a few Resistance's. Therefore I have only ever made 1 successful team (a Hail based team). But this is my latest team. I realise it probably needs alot of work so advice would be appreciated:

As I've never tested this team I can't really explain their roles. I just tried to include a Physical Sweeper and Wall, Special Sweeper and Wall and a Batton Passer. I'm guessing it needs alot of work so please suggest Pookemon replacements, different movesets and Ev's etc. Thank You!:)

I really don't see too much need of improvement in your team. You have very standard sets, that might be the only problem. Predictability will be a huge liability when it comes to the current metagame. You'll see a lot more complex and unique sets when you go out there. Your Electivire is great, Cross Chop is almost required, Earthquake is great for type coverage and the same with Thunder Punch and Ice Punch. Your Gengar is like any other Gengar, Hypnosis, Focus Blast to counter Dark types, Shadow Ball for other Ghosts and other neutral pokes, and Thunderbolt for further coverage. Same goes with your Blissey, Seismic Toss is in almost every Blissey set, Softboiled is required, you could take out Ice Beam and put in Light Screen to further benefit your team, because with Blissey's meager special attack base stat, you aren't going to get much out of Ice Beam. Thats just my opinion, Light Screen is a great benefit for your team. Your Gyarados is fine, its a great standard set, you should keep it as it is.

Your Gliscor could take a totally different role also, Gliscor can work well as an excellent Baton Passer. here's the set for a role like this:

    Gliscor @ Leftovers
    Ability: Hyper Cutter
    Nature: Jolly
    252 HP / 4 Attack / 252 Speed

    -Baton Pass
    -Swords Dance
    -Roost
    -Earthquake

Its pretty standard, but Gliscor's bulky Defense is nice for this job. Swords Dance up and roost if you need to live long enough for more than 2 Swords Dances, Earthquake if you have the perfect opportunity for a OHKO or if its just super effective to begin with, its also for type coverage if you are facing any kind of threat. Baton Pass when you need to, this could really help out your team.

Your Scizor could then become an excellent sweeper with this great set:

    Scizor @ Life Orb
    Ability: Swarm
    Nature: Adamant
    108 HP / 252 Attack / 148 Speed

    -Agility
    -X-Scissor
    -Iron Head
    -Brick Break

Agility is obviously for speeding up your Scizor so he can peform a great sweep. Life Orb will take a slow toll on your Scizor, but it will make him extra powerful. Iron Head is a great move, with a 30% chance of flinching your opponent. X-Scissor is a reliable and powerful Bug type move especially with Life Orb. But after Life Orb takes its toll and your Scizor's health is at 1/3 full or lower, Swarm will kick in and power it up even further. Brick Break is a great move for other Steel types like Skarmory or Empoleon. If you want your Scizor to be even faster, take some Evs from HP.

I hope this helps some. ;)

Why are you using Electivire as a lead?

Excuse me... you're not utilizing Electivire. T-Bolt. And the point of Vire is to absorb electric attacks and then outspeed most things. Not to be a lead.

Earthquake is pretty useless on Electivire honestly. It doesn't add much more useful coverage really, while Fire Punch beats Bronzong and Forretress. Toxic is also a highly-recommended option, as bulky ground counters are simply decimated by the status.

As others have said, don't lead with it. It's at enough of a disadvantage already, and revealing GyaraVire on the first turn isn't wise.

Uberchomp and Anti Pop Culture Warrior, Thanks for helping
Faceless* and Mobile Tsk, If I was to use this team I wouldn't lead with Electivire. I haven't decided which Pokemon would be best to lead with. Any help there?

Usually, when posting an RMT, you post a lead first. Electivire is best kept a secret, so you can switch it in on attacks aimed at Gyara. Lead with Gengar, that would be your best bet.

It's rather standard, so the sets can't be picked at much.

Ok thanks. I'll see if I can improve the movesets.

Well the best lead on your team in my opinion is Gliscor to come in and set up stealth rock, but I honestly don't favour Gliscor because Weavile is one of the most common starters in the game and it OHKOs with Ice Punch or Ice Shard. I'd go with Swampert instead of Gliscor. Or you could do Gengar as a starter. But as it was mentioned already, don't use Electivire early on, keep it to good prediction for when Gyarados is in play, and you know an Electric attack is coming.

Quite honestly, this looks like a team from the early days of the D/P metagame, which means its very outdated since we're in a whole new metagame now.

    Electivire@Expert Belt:Motor Drive
    Adamant: 6 HP/252 ATK/252 SPE
    ~Thunderpunch
    ~Ice Punch
    ~Cross Chop
    ~Earthquake
As said before, usually the lead/ starter of the team goes 1st to show that they will be leading, as for the set, consider Fire Punch > Earthquake for at least hitting Bronzong, Celebi and Forretress which otherwise wall this set, as well as Life Orb since you should attempt a sweep the 1st (and probably the only) opportunity you get the Motor Drive Boost.

    Blissey@Leftovers:Natural Cure
    Bold: 148 HP/252 DEF/108 SPA
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Seismic Toss
    ~Thunder Wave
    ~Softboiled
Calm Nature with the same spread and the 108 S.Atk Evs in S.Def, which makes it a more dedicated special wall, since Bold is also outdated

    Gliscor@Leftovers:Sand Veil
    Impish: 252 HP/6 ATK/ 252 DEF
    ~Earthquake
    ~Roost
    ~Ice Fang
    ~Stealth Rock
Outside of countering Salamence (all physical only) and Breloom Ice Fang doesnt do much....SD Heracross can run through this as well as the new Scizor

    Gliscor @ Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    244 HP, 48 Def, 212 Spd
    - Roost
    - Stealth Rock
    - Fire Fang
    - Earthquake

The Spd Evs are for outspeeding Adamant SD Lucario, which run Ice Punch now.

    Another set to consdier is:

    Gliscor @ Leftovers
    Impish Nature
    244 HP, 188 def, 76 Spd
    - Taunt
    - Roost
    - Fire Fang
    - Earthquake

^ Which is alot more formidable than the average Gliscor, as it can outstall Skarmory, Bronzong and Forretress with ease thanks to Taunt + Fire Fang, and still counters Heracross and Breloom as well as Scizor. The Spd EVs are just enough to outspeed Jolly Tyranitar, Breloom, Timid Magnezone, and Choice Specs Heatran than run 216 Spd Evs

    Gyarados@Life Orb:Intimidate
    Adamant: 72 HP/252 ATK/184 SPE
    ~Dragon Dance
    ~Waterfall
    ~Earthquake
    ~Stone Edge
Earthquake gets bad coverage on this set too, Ice Fang > Earthquake which hits Celebi, also 4 HP 252 Atk, 252 Spd, as the Hp does nothing, even more so when your primary concern is sweeping instead of tanking and because of Life Orb recoil. and lack of a Rapid Spinner

    Changes in the team:

    Gliscor@Leftovers:Sand Veil
    Impish:244 HP/48 ATK/212 SPD
    ~Roost
    ~Stealth Rock
    ~Fire Fang
    ~Earthquake

    Blissey@Leftovers:Natural Cure
    Calm:148 HP/252 DEF/108 SPD
    ~???
    ~Seismic Toss
    ~Thunder Wave
    ~Softboiled

    Gyarados@Life Orb:Intimidate
    Adamant:72 HP/252 ATK/184 SPE
    ~Dragon Dance
    ~Waterfall
    ~Ice Fang
    ~Stone Edge

    Electivire@Expert Belt:Motor Drive
    Adamant:6 HP/252 ATK/252 SPE
    ~Thunderpunch
    ~Ice Punch
    ~Fire Punch
    ~Cross Chop

(Need alot of help with next Pokemon).
    Starmie@???:Natural Cure
    Timid:???
    ~Rapid Spin
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Surf /Psychic /Energy Ball

Basically every Pokemon's changed a bit except Scizor, and Gengar's been booted out for a spinner/sweeper. If anyone thinks different Pokemon would work better in this team please tell me. Alos need help with item, ev's and final move for the newest addition to my team.

Also Noir Lancer, thanks your last post helped alot :)

    Electivire@Choice Scarf:Motor Drive
    Adamant: 6 HP/252 ATK/252 SPE
    ~Thunderpunch
    ~Ice Punch/Taunt
    ~Cross Chop
    ~Fire Punch

Choice Scarf So you almost always go first. Taunt messes up most leads, where you can switch to something else to KO it.

    Blissey@Leftovers:Natural Cure
    Calm: 148 HP/252 DEF/108 SPA
    ~Ice Beam
    ~Seismic Toss
    ~Thunder Wave
    ~Softboiled

Go for Calm. Bold raises Def very minimally, Calm is far better imo.

    Gliscor@Leftovers:Sand Veil
    Impish: 252 HP/6 ATK/ 252 DEF
    ~Earthquake
    ~Roost
    ~Ice Fang
    ~Stealth Rock

Are we merely picking generic Pokemon?

    Gengar@Focus Sash:Levitate
    Timid: 6 HP/252 SPA/252 SPE
    ~Hypnosis
    ~Shadow Ball
    ~Thunderbolt
    ~Focus Blast

Hypnosis now only has 60% accuracy. Thus, Focus Sash would be helpful, in case you miss.

    Gyarados@Life Orb:Intimidate
    Adamant: 72 HP/252 ATK/184 SPE
    ~Dragon Dance
    ~Waterfall
    ~Earthquake
    ~Ice Fang

Ice Fang simply works better on LOGyara

    Scizor@Leftovers:Technician
    Impish: 184 HP/176 DEF/148 SPE
    ~Swords Dance
    ~Agility
    ~Batton Pass
    ~X-Scissor

I'm sorry, I just plain don't like Scizor much. Maybe replace with a Def or SpD passer, such as Vaporeon.

    My comments are above bolded.
