ooc: ok, unfortunately, nobody has joined =( .. so let's start
ic: I'm Max, a new pilot from the Robotech Defense Force ((yeah, it's force not federation)) or RDF... and I have just finished the training. Today is a great day for me, 'cause today is my first day as an official pilot. "Max I'm so proud of you" I heard behind me. I turned around and saw Scott, my teacher. "You're now a ... oh wait.." I think Scott recieved a call from the RDF. "Max, I have just recieved a call from the RDF" see? "They say aliens are coming to Earth to attack it, I see that they still want war... Max, I know I promised to you that we were going to celebrate this day but..." Scott stopped, because I interrupted "I understand...so I will not see you until...?" I asked, but Scott smiled and said one of the most beautiful phrases I have ever heard "Max, you will participate in the counter-attack to the aliens". My eyes glowed in happiness. "Max, go north from here to the air base. They have your very own Veritech waiting for you... You have your orders pilot! GO!" "Yes Sir!" without thinking it I started to run North, to the air base.
After some minutes of running, I reached the Air Base. A guard just looked at me and opened the main door. I walked in. "Holy c..." I thought as I started to saw the huge base. The walls were blue and gray, and there could be seen some Veritechs infront of you. An engineer came running at me and looked at me "Are you one of the new pilots?" he asked, "Yes" I replied, weird I am not a person of short or one-word sentences. "I am Max, my teacher told me..." I said but the engineer stopped me. He checked the papers he had on his arm and then whispered something , "VR-7Z, square 350 , cloinfuction (yeah a word that doesn't even exist) 4... ok Max, come with me!" he said then he ran to an elevator and I followed him. The elevator started to go up and stopped showing us to a narrow corridor just above the Veritechs. "Your Veritech is the VR-7Z, nickname : Blue Lightning. Is this one, good luck pilot" he said poiinting to a veritech that just where just a few meters away from us, and I stepped out of the elevator, leaving behind the engineer. The engineer went back down and I was alone infront of my Veritech. "I must be dreaming... my own Veritech, the Blue Lightning" I said just infront of it staring at it. Then another corridor moved infront of the head of the Blue Lightning. The head opened itself and showed a cabin for the Pilot. I advanced to it. Stepped in the Cabin. And finally sat down on the seat.
The corridor moved to its normal position and the head closed itself. 2 lights on the 'ceiling' were on, and then on the screen appeared: "Current Mode: Battloid... Beginning sequence for Veritech ...." then it showed buttons on the screen and more stuff. After learning how to 'turn on' the Veritech, I lifted the glass from the red button that acts like 'start'. Then I pushed it and then pressed other buttons following the sequence. I pushed in total 7 buttons. Then all lights were on all the little lights showing the buttons were on too. The screen turned on showing like 1st person vision from the Veritech. That means I could see what the Veritech were seeing. Then like a wide hexagon moved itself infront of me, the hexagon was divided in 3 parts: The main part, that is in the center of the hexagon, that is used to show a figure of the Veritech in its current Mode and all it relatings; The other two parts are besides the main one, on at the left and one at the right, they are used to show a picture of the one who you are talking to, they are blank in you're not talking to anyone. Then two semicircles were moved from the hexagon to their sides. Again, one in the left and the other in the right, so you can use them to move the Veritech. So I hold them and later the main part of the hexagon that is really called 'Center Screen' became blue and the figure of the Veritech was shown on it, it was delineated with white lines, and then letters appeared around the figure showing status and other important stuff. Then , bombs started to be heard and the ground was shaken.
"Veritech VR-7Z ready to take off" I heard from the communicator of the base. I was ready. Then the blue glass of my helmet 'appeared'. Even the glass was blue, I could see everything perfect. Then in the Left Screen of the hexagon showed Scott, "Hi Max, so... this is your first real battle, huh? ... Max, unfortunately I will not be with you, you will be in a group with the rest of the new Pilots. I wish you good luck Max, see ya" he said and disappeared from the screen. The steel bars that were holding the Veritech moved aside so I could take off. I moved the Veritech back and turned its head to the left , and I could see the door for Veritechs open. It was time. I turned the Blue Lightning around. I pressed a little red button on the right semicircle and Blue Lightning grabbed its gatling cannon. I was ready. I moved Blue Lightning outside the Base and I saw all the battle. Veritechs and alien robots were fighting each other. Battles in the air and in the ground. The left screen showed the Captain of the Air Base, "Max, your first objective in this mission is to wait for the others in your Squad and protect the door while waiting for them. The whole mission is, to defend this base and the city that is near here and obviously, destroy the aliens. Good luck pilot" then it disappeared. Blue Lightning had ready the Gatling Gun and was waiting for action.
