I was just wondering why there was never a Rock- or Ground-Type Castform? I mean, he has forms for each of the other types of weather. And Weather Ball does become Rock-Type during Sandstorm....It was just something I was always curious about.

The two reasons I can come up with are a) Sandstorms aren't really as common as rain or even hail(outside of the desert); and b) At the time, Rock & Ground were still all-Physical types, and for some reason that meant "no extra form."

So, what are your thoughts on this?

    a sandstorm isn't actually weather
    it's just wind and sand

thats like asking why eevee only have 8 types covered they just not have gotten around to it yet

Well, when used in fog, Weather Ball doubles its power.. So could we expect a flying-type Castform too?

    Wind is weather, though.
It's like a monsoon, but on land?

Yes but wind is everywhere (well except in place where the wind is blocked or the jet streams collide).
In fact, castforms regular form could just be it's wind form, meaning that it's true form could only be seen in a place without weather.

I don't think they are going to make Eevee evolve into all the different types according to the pattern it's following. Unless it get's pre-evolutions.

Yes, I know... I always thought it was strange that they never had a rock/ground castform. It would of made sence, but oh well.

Nor is Fire and Water, they are elements.

Well technically rock and ground are mixtures while water is a compound and fire is energy (I think it is anyways).

It looks no different when you battle with it inside or outside. I'd imagine its normal form to be a simple grey ball, as you can see inside its weather forms the unchanged actual Castorm part is a ball.

    Good point.
Sand is ground (now I realise upon thought)... rain is water... but sunlight is not fire, so unless they make a light type...

OH HANG ON THERE'S NO VOLCANIC ASH WEATHER CASTFORM. :O
    Those lazy bastards.

True, it doesn't make sense, but I've never thought too much about the weak little novelty pokemon in the first place. I could care less.
