3rd Gen Route 123 Berries

Since it rains on route 123 at that house which has 12 spots for berries, do I have to water them?

It would be awesome if I didn't need to and still got large crops.

EDIT- Don't know if this info is needed but I own Emerald.

You need water them.
Exactly the weathers didn't affect berry...

It isn't really needed but encouraged. If you water them, you will get even more berries.

Thats what I was looking for. Good thing I've been watering them just in case! I need a large crop.
