RPG Maker XP; need a little help

    I downloaded the pokemon starter kit, and loaded everything up.
    I deleted all the maps and whatnot which was preloaded in the game.
    I made a few new maps, but when i start to play, the main character is...non existent. How do I add a character?
     
    For one, you have to make events with scripts to set the name, gender and such to define the player, which will make him/her show up. The scripts used can be found in the event on the intro map of the a nonedited (or edited if you haven't deleted it yet) Pokemon Essentials file.

    Did you delete the map labeled Intro? If so, then that's your problem. I would recommended, if your going to delete the default maps, that you at least keep the map labeled Intro, that way the Intro (where Prof Oak appears etc) can easily be edited without having to make your own.
