3rd Gen Ruby's hair!! xD

    I'm sorry for asking such a stupid question, but it's been driving me insane.

    Is ruby wearing a weird white jester type hat, or is that his hair? At first I was like, it's his hair, but then I read "Pokemon Special" and under his head band thingy, you can see a bit of black hair next to his ear. Is it like, half black half white? I'm so confused...

    It's his hair, most likely the black area is shading.
     
    his hair is white. perhaps platnium blonde, but look up some char art for Ruby, and you'll see that his hair is officialy white
     
    Well actually it's just a hat. He eventually takes it off in the manga, and you'd be able to see his real hair (that is black).
     
    It is a ski cap.
    In the 3-D images for colloseum and XD as well as the concept art for Emerald Brendan has Brown Hair and wears a cap. The only time he is seen without it is in Pokemon Special when at the end of the RS arc he takes off his cap and we see his hair (it looks like Normans).
    Most people make this mistake so don't feel bad.
     
    Also corroborating on the "It's a hat" thing, if you blow up the side-view sprite fairly big, there's a few pixels below the hat that are black that definitely would suggest he has hair and it's therefore just a (n unfortunate) cap.

    It is his hair. I dont think you should take any Japanese styled anime characters hair too seriously! lol
     
    Anime characters' natural hair color has been pink, blue, green, and white. Hair color isn't something that other characters bring attention to, it's an expression of the nature of the character for the viewer.

    In Japan, most people have black hair. A person with different hair color is typically seen as a foreigner (or a fluke).

    You can clearly see his Brown sideburns. Also the above pic is valid. The manga couterparts are based on the originals. And GameFreak has said Brendan/Ruby is wearing a hat like the other male protagonists.

    I saved this pic and examined it on Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I zoomed in on the sideburns, and they appeared grey. To be sure, I opened it on MS Paint, zoomed in to 800%, and used the "eye dropper" utility, and used the same color to flood the background. It came up grey, so it's a shaded white sideburn.

    White-haired boy has white hair.

    Its taken from the Manga and that is Ruby removing his white hat so his offical hair is either a dark brown or black
     
    I see the brown! I really do think it's dark (a dark colour not white!) :D
